I was with TriStarr for a few months before finding a permanent full-time position. It was a great experience! Everyone was very kind, provided plenty of information prior to sending me to my first day on the job, checked up on me occasionally and so much more. Emily Gifford is the counselor who hired me. She is honest, courteous and straight forward. As a temp, one is always a bit hesitant to work where you are not known. Emily, gave me in detail, what the job for cosa is: she detailed the hours and paid me a great hourly wage. If you only can register with one temp agency and one counselor, this it it. I am extremely happy to work with her and for cosa. I can count on one hand how many jobs I truly enjoyed and whom hired me. She and tri-star get 5 stars for service, satisfaction and pay.

If I could put no stars on this review I would. Dealt with some of the most unprofessional recruiters in all my career. Office staff was not organized with initial interview and failed to attempt to follow up. Minimal effort. Poor communication skills. Across the board - worst experience. Don’t use them! They will UNDERMINE your qualifications to fill their positions!!!

Their IT hiring manager has been very open and honest with me through the application process. He spent a lot of time with me over the phone to show me the ropes and tell me what I need to know about the current job market and what they have available. Needless to say, I am impressed with his knowledge and care.

I received a call from a recruiter named Elizabeth at this agency mentioning that they were interested in my resume that she had found on career builder. She continued on by saying that I was a good candidate for a company that they do business with and would like for me to come in for an interview, so I accepted. Five minutes later the same person calls me back and says that she is sorry but since on my resume it shows that I USED TO work for a different employer(not gonna mention the employers name) and that the company that was the client of Tri Starr would NOT allow me to apply since I USED TO work with that one employer....hmmmm.....so I right away knew something wasnt right about this so called company Tri Star. If I am correct....isnt this a violation of the Equal Opportunity Employment Act? Elizabeth then went on to tell me...yes I know...it sounds silly but that is THEIR policy. I have never heard of such a thing or policy! And if I am correct....to my knowledge NO ONE is to be denied an employment application (because of the EQUAL EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITY ACT), now whether the application gets approved or not....thats a different story! But NO ONE is to be denied an application. Same thing goes for when someone applies for a loan at a bank...NO ONE is to be denied an application.....again whether the application gets approved or not, that is a different story(in this case their is what is called a TRUTH IN LENDING ACT). But these people here at Tri Starr seem to be withholding jobs and positions and possibly holding them for favoritism, possibly for friends or family members. This company to me appears to be SHADY! If I could rate this company I feel they dont even deserve not 1 star but the review website wont let you post a review without at least giving this company at least 1 star. Again......SHADY!

I was given a wonderful assignment from Tri Starr and I ended up being converted to a full time employee by the place I was a contractor with.My mom has been working under Tri Starr for the past 4 and a half years and she thinks they are wonderful.Even though I no longer work under Tri Starr I still think they are amazing.My boyfriend currently works under them as a contractor, (hopefully not for long, as he works the same place I do, and will hopefully be converted soon).My best friend will be applying with them soon because of how quickly they find jobs for their applicants.They were wonderful with replying to me anytime I had a question, and are wonderful with giving feedback that comes from the superiors where I work.

I was placed in a job almost immediately. I settled for less money than I would have liked, but the process moved quickly and smooth, once the employer expressed interest. They told me exactly what I needed to do, and how the process would work... as soon as the employer had selected me. My initial staffing agent left once I started working, and Bonnie took over. She was very nice, helpful and communicative throughout my tenure. I tried MANY staffing companies, and Tri-Starr was definitely the best, hands down. The staff was always welcoming & friendly also. Everything just seemed organized and professional..

This agency is staffed with incompetent people! The low pay & short assignment lengths only add to my dissatisfaction. They call themselves employment or staffing agencies They only care about saving their clients money & charging ridiculous fees to these employers. Thats money the temp worker should be making. Job seekers still have to take assessment tests & interview for assignments that are entry level & only last a couple of weeks.Employers never have to hire workers on a permanent basis & pay market wages. Staffing agencies take roughly 50% of the money that employers pay them. Thats why temp job wages are so low. These so-called staffing agencies do not provide any value. All they do is forward a job seekers resume. Do not waste your time with this agency!

Went in for an interview, was told that I would receive a call back; never did. Called the following week, and was told that she would look into things, and give me a call back. I never received a call. Called again to check on the status, and was told that one job stopped responding to the agency, and the other she was waiting to hear back from. I don’t understand why there wasn’t some form of communication on her end. If you’re trying to help someone find a job, commicate with them to let them know about the status of certain jobs, and figure out if you have other applicable jobs. Don’t just not call the person back, then lie and tell them that you will. No help at all.

Will not say her name, trying to be respectful. She was great coming because someone referred me. GOOD. Worked at a job they(tristar) provided. Car issues coul not go, OK. Tried returning my work equipment no more than 2 weeks( with hopes I would return to work). I couldnt. I had at least 1 call asking ONLY about clocking. Anyway what i am being told id NO to turn in my equipment for reimbursement. If it is IN what was said along with what they said verbally OKAY. This was not my case. Very dissappointed. Not to mention no patience to hear you out

My experience with Tri-Starr Personnel has been terrible. I’ve been working with Claire for the past few months now and she has not found one decent job for me. I have a degree from UT Austin and all the jobs she has found for me require nothing more than a high school diploma/GED. Not to mention that I NEVER hear from her. I almost always have to reach out to her and ask if she has any updates for me. I’m just disappointed that I’m doing most of the work. I have had more success using Indeed and LinkedIn. Maybe this place has better recruiters, but this experience has left a terrible taste in my mouth. I definitely wouldn’t recommend them.

Stewart has a great ability to explain and provided meaningful information regarding different projects that were available to me. He followed through and found answers to any question I had, he also reported back to me promptly.

I have been dealing with them for at least 6 months now. The recruiter is never there and I never receive a call back. When I do seem to reach her she never has anything available. When there is something available I dont hear anything back about until I contact her and she never has a reason as to what happened. The absolute worst they dont actually help you.

I came here in hopes to find a job so I signed in at the techforce south side location. I saw on the website that they had a opening for the police dispatched which wasnt accurate cause not only was the job not avaiable but they then sent me to the techforce by 281 because they didnt have Jobs that met my experience, so I go to the techforce by 281 and they sent me to tri star next door, the staff was very friendly except the recruiter, I was in her office for a couple minutes she asked me a couple questions about my experience and education and what I was looking for after thinking for a couple moments she then told me I didnt have enough experience for any the positions so I wasted my whole day. Your better off applying for jobs on your own... and I have 2 associates degrees one in criminal justice and one in automotive mechanics. I have years of experience in each field.
