Sylvan has been the best thing I did for my son! He has improved so much academically since he started at Sylvan. The staff are also so kind and helpful, my son loves being here at Sylvan.

My daughter has been coming to Sylvan of NW SA for almost two years and we have seen a fantastic academic transformation. She has made great strides in math/reading and her increased confidence is apparent! All the teachers are wonderful and the directors and owner have gone out of their way to make us feel comfortable on multiple occasions. We highly recommend Sylvan for families whom need personalized tutoring.

When I first began with Sylvan, it was great. During my time with them, they changed management three times. A new owner took over and he was horrible, he allowed students to come in without a mask during COVID, charged me for sessions I did not attend. We did not attend the whole time of COVID and then he wanted to come back us to come back and use our sessions. I went one time to check this out and no one was wearing a mask with kids running everywhere. I wanted to get a refund of the sessions I had left and he would not allow this and turned around and said I did not have any sessions left, he is not an honest man. They did a lot for us previously but highly recommend not doing business with the new owner.

From the first phone call to Sylvan Learning NW San Antonio, they have been amazing! The staff members are friendly and accommodating. They seem to love what they do. I listen when they are teaching/talking to the students. They are polite and patient. The director creates individualized study plans for each student. They offer to reach out to your childs school teachers, and work with them as well. They have incentives and play games to keep the students engaged. My child loves receiving tutoring here.

I cannot speak highly enough about the individual tutoring plans there. My student is/was a struggling 2nd grader (mostly in reading!). They worked with them on holes he was missing to build on the next topic. At times, there were Kinder areas needed reviewing and teaching. Once accomplished, my student has moved through many topics and is catching up! They are so patient at Sylvan and truly only there for the students! They care and it shows with all of the positive and encouraging reinforcement! We will be continuing with lessons for the foreseeable future - including some of the summertime activities!

Our daughter goes here for Reading and Writing, she is excited to go every day and the school saw almost immediate improvement in both areas. Her confidence and reading skill has noticeably improved since the start of tutoring. We would 100% recommend their services to anyone in need.

The staff at Sylvan truly cares about your child. The create customized plans for your child and give monthly updates regarding their progress. It is worth every penny. They restored my daughters confidence in herself.

I would highly recommend! My daughter was behind on her reading skills. We took her in and they figured out exactly what level she was at and helped her from there. I’ve utilized Sylvan when two of my children needed additional educational instruction/support. My oldest is now an A/B honor roll student & no longer struggles with school work. I love this center! The staff has always been is so loving and caring to my son when he attended 15 years ago and now my granddaughter! The supervisors show great interest in the needs of students and their families by their communication and involvement. They are very professional and many are still around for over 15 years thus this speaks volumes of their commitment to their services which truly make a huge difference in the lives of students. My children also love their teachers and have made great strides in academics and their level of confidence. I cant say enough to show my appreciation. We have had nothing but amazing experiences with Sylvan! All the staff, Directors, and teachers are extremely friendly and very helpful. Our daughter enjoyed the learning experience with Sylvan and we did see improvement in the time we were there. The teachers were also very good. The only reason I wouldnt rate Sylvan a 5 star is because the kids were on tablets the entire time. My husband and I didnt care for this side of their teaching methodology.

My son started at Sylvan on Tuesday and he was not really excited about having to go, but he needs the extra help with reading. When I came back to pick him up he was happy and excited that he actually understood his lessons. That big smile spoke volumes. I can not wait to see the change and growth in his reading and confidence.

So incredibly happy with Sylvan, their supervisors & their wonderful staff! Theyre always ready to make time for you whatever ur needs may be. This will be the 3rd summer I bring my twins in for 6 weeks and the 1st summer for my son. The kids are always happy to come back! They say the teachers are really nice. N they really look forward to the reward system Sylvan has to offer. Not only are the kiddos happy, it really works. They receive individual attention, that meet their individual needs.Theres a reason why I come back every summer, because I see results!

I drive over an hour to come to weekly SAT tutoring at Sylvan and it is well worth the drive. Everyone is helpful and I grow in my knowledge every time I come. I definitely recommend Sylvan to anyone getting ready to take the SAT or ACT for college.

Today’s my son’s first day at Sylvan. We are excited and can’t wait to see his improvement at school. We were here last week for testing and I liked the staff/student and teacher/student interaction I was able to observe. Everyone here has been very friendly and so helpful. So far, it has been a great experience.

My daughter just finished her first day and she loved it! The staff was welcoming and approachable which is very important for us knowing that she was open to learning! They began with familiar concepts to immediately build confidence which we hope will continue and grow a love for math.

This summer my 16 year old granddaughter needed tutoring in a difficult math class she needed to complete her junior year. Our needs were not exactly in line with the busy summer program at this Sylvan location. But they were able to provide expert instructors and schedule us into many hours of instruction. I especially worked with Dara Russell who would call me personally to fit me into their busy schedule on short notice. Their help was above and beyond their normal program but handled it congenially and professionally. She passed her course which we could not have done without Sylvan and their staff and instructors. Thank you for being there for us! I highly recommend this Sylvan.

I was told my daughter would be retained in kinder, if she does not improve so we enrolled in Sylvan for Math and English . There were all certified teachers teaching there, In 1 year there was so much improvement that her teachers were asking us what did we do to make such a progress in her.Highly recommend Sylvan to everybody.

This is a great place. It really expensive for a single parent budget. They work with you on payments. My son had a great time they ensured he got his hours during the summer time. A little confusing about the program an its pricing because I thought I signed my child up for $363 a month for 2 hours not a summer program for $600+ for 2 hours for two months.

Great place for students struggling with academics! My son has been attending now for 2 months and his grades have been improving. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Would recommend to anyone that has a child struggling with school work.
