I just returned from my free consultation with Mr. Rick Flume. I have never written a review for anyone or anything, no matter how good or bad the service or product, but I guess there is a first time for everything.Unfortunately, I have had to hire several attorneys during my life, and none of them were ever pleasurable experiences. Thus, when I scheduled my consultation with Mr. Flume I already knew what to expect, due to my previous consultations with other attorneys. During my previous consultations the attorneys do all of the talking, and tell you how great they are, and then explain that they, and only they, can be your savior, and promise you everything you want. Then, reality sets in, and the price they quoted you quadruples, and all that stuff they promised they could do for you becomes impossible for any attorney to accomplish!When I first heard that Mr. Flume would meet with me for a “free” consultation I was very skeptical, because attorneys don’t do anything for free. So, I confirmed with his receptionist that I had an appointment to speak with Mr. Flume, not a legal assistant or paralegal, which she confirmed. I then inquired if I would be able to ask Mr. Flume questions during this free consultation, which she again confirmed.I showed up at Mr. Flume’s office 5 minutes early expecting to wait the usual 20-30 minutes, but was quickly greeted by his assistant who took my paperwork and told me that Mr. Flume would be right with me. To my surprise, just a couple minutes later Mr. Flume appeared in the waiting room greeted me and escorted me to his office. While he was reviewing my paperwork I began explaining the reasons for my need to declare bankruptcy. Mr. Flume listened attentively and asked pertinent questions when he needed more information. When I finally finished and Mr. Flume had asked all of his questions, he shocked me by advising me not to declare bankruptcy, and then proceeded to explain his reasoning. I have several friends who declared bankruptcy, so I had already spoken with both of them about the pros and cons, as well as doing my own research, but the information Mr. Flume gave me was something that I had never heard before, and I doubt either of my friends knew. What he suggested I do, didn’t include using any of his services, nor did he recommend I seek anyone for what I could do myself. Thus, Mr. Flume gave me some of the best legal advise I could have ever received and in return, received nothing but my praise out of the deal. Also, he lost 45 minutes of his life in that free consultation that he will never get back. So, that is why I am writing my very first review.
