I need to apologize, I just saw this post (below) that I wrote about a week ago. The place/location (EC Quality Car Care) is NOT the place that I was reviewing. I have never been to EC, never heard of the place and I retract my accidental bashing. For my mistakeI am changing the one star to five.I fell the need to explain, to reiterate, that I dont know this place and my stars are based merlly on my feeling of guilt and my desire to pay restitution to EC for my blunder .Im sorry EC Quality Car Care.*The following (originally posted) review was meant for a car wash. A very dirty, nasty car wash.I cant say anything about the car wash aspect of the place, I wouldnt even rinse my truck off in such a dirt place.

E.C. Quality car care is the place for me for the past 20 years. That’s when I moved into the neighborhood and found this top notch family owned business. I really appreciate that the owner Emiliano. He really makes sure you understand what’s wrong with your vehicle and why it needs repair or that it soon will need repair. No pressure on the sale of the repair. I really felt that he cares about me and my vehicle and that he just wants me to be well informed on what the situation is. Let’s be honest not all of us know a whole lot about auto mechanics. The service is professional, friendly and quite frankly enjoyable. So if your looking for a mechanic shop that’s honest and has integrity and values it’s customersE.C. Quality car care is the place.

I did a pre purchase inspection here because the other auto care on the De Zavala were fully booked for 3 weeks. I also replaced my serpentine belt here. No need for appointment nor the long waiting line. So far, good service. The price that you pay for the service is fair, though.

Honestly, I could move to another city entirely and I would STILL come back here to take my car to Emiliano and co. Every time Ive gone there, theyve taken such good care of my car and made me feel totally comfortable in the process. I trust them 100% with all my vehicle needs!

Over charged for work. Charged higher than all competitors but I was dooped by the need to quickly get it done. Taken advantage of because of timing.

Great family owned auto repair shop. It’s not franchised so their prices are more competitive their work is top notch quality. Mister Emiliano Canales the owner insured his shop stays clean organized and spotless. He as well is a certified technician so he makes sure is mechanics are nothing but knowledgeable and professional. Even though you will meet when your car breaks down and nobody likes that Mister Emiliano softens the situation by giving you is undivided attention and making the situation as smooth as possible. I previously worked for a company that sold Mr. Canales automotive parts and personally know of his work standards. He expects only the highest quality parts and service and his technicians are all certified. As a shop owner, he takes great pride making sure all repairs are done right and will personally follow up on repairs recommend by his technicians before calling customers with a quote. When I was in need of finding a shop to have repairs done for my fathers truck, I knew exactly where to have the work done. This shop isnt very close for me, but all repairs get a two year warranty, so the drive is worth it.

I was met with a unfortunate event that ended up making my car unable to drive. Thankfully I was close to this place and ended up taking my car in to get it fixed not knowing if the place was good or not. Lou, the manager was the first person I met to help me with the car. Im always judging auto services due to the fact that if you arent mechanically inclined theyll use that to their advantage & may overcharge you. These guys did none of that and helped me out with what they could. Lou, your interpersonal skills and professionalism are excellent and for that I will not hesitate to return. The vehicle and customer service I received here was fantastic. I went in to replace my front-axle and Lou made sure I was well taken care of. Been going here for a while to get my car worked on. Moved to San Antonio and wanted to find an honest car repair shop. EC is definitely that. My sister and I drove down from Ohio in an older car. We experienced some car trouble and were fortunate enough to make it to San Antonio where EC Quality Car Care helped us check it all out. We brought the car in first thing in the morning and they took such great care to listen, investigate, and be very clear about what they were going to do for us, what expenses might be incurred, and how they were going to do their best to minimize those. We were out of there within 2 hours, so basically, faster, cheaper, and better service than anywhere weve tried in Ohio. (Sorry Ohio.)

Easily the best automotive place in San Antonio. Lou and his technicians are honest, dependable, and fair. They always go the extra mile and they wont try to overcharge you or make you pay for things you dont actually need. Many other shops will try to take advantage of you but, but I can tell you from my experience visiting them 3 times- EC Quality truly cares about their customers. I highly recommend them to anyone in the SA area.

Lou did an incredible job of fixing my AC after having no such luck of getting fixed at Firestone. My hub bearings have been really bad for some time now. I kept on hearing this roaring noise so as expected, I visited the dealership for a diagnostic test. They confirmed it was the bearing. If anyone has experience of going to the dealership would know how expensive it is to have anything done. I visited EC Quality Car Care and Lou and his team did the work in no time! Couldve gotten back my car the same day but my phone was acting up! Got my car the next day and it works great! This place is awesome! They are friendly and helpful and their work is impeccable! And reasonable prices too! Unbeatable!

Their service at EC Quality Car Car was amazing. They explain everything they do and walk you through the process in a very clear and understandable way. Lou helped me out and was good about staying in touch and letting me know what theyd need to do to fix my car. At the end, they gave me a detailed status report of all the other things they found while inspecting my car, along with estimated costs, but did not pressure me at all into getting any of the work done there. I waited a few days before writing a review, just to make sure everything with my repairs were in order, and this morning I recieved a follow up text from the owner asking how everything was! Overall, an amazing experience, and Ill definitely be coming back. I highly recommend this shop ;)

The service was great but they did break something on my car and when I went to show them they acted like they didnt see it but the machine said he glued it back lol so they broke it and lied about it ..they dont even do a whole run threw of the car from the time its there to see if theres any damages.

Im not from Texas and was in town on business, I located this shop randomly online and the service was efficient and extremely friendly. The staff quoted me a fair price and completed my work same day. They did excellent work and I feel comfortable returning for additional repairs!

Went in for a multitude of problems and the staff there were incredibly patient and worked with me with the pricing. They did everything they could to give me the best prices on the parts without sacrificing quality as well as cutting down on labor charges. During the repair which took a while they kept me updated on anything that needed to be added or any other changes that needed to be done. I was well informed during the entire process and wasnt surprised by anything. So far my car has been running smoothly and I am more than satisfied with my experience!

My sister and I had driven all the way from Ohio when our coolant reservoir boiled over and the AC quit working. Lou and the staff at EC were amazing - they gave great advice and were able to figure out the problem very quickly. They were honest about not wanting to charge us more than necessary, and they did a great job and got us back on the road even faster than I expected. If I lived in San Antonio, theyd be my first call for car trouble!

I took my car in for an oil change and a coolant leak check. The service adviser Lou was awesome. He advised me that it would be better to do the coolant leak check before the oil change in case I decided the coolant issues were too numerous for me to fix. This way, I would not be paying for an oil change before addressing the possible more serious issues. I have never been anywhere else that was so honest and so informative. I decided to wait in the lobby (with complimentary snacks) while they did the coolant check first. I am glad I did. It turned out that I had to do a repair on my coolant system that was more important than the oil change and was able to postpone the oil change for the next week while my cars more immediate thermostat and coolant hose leak were repaired. As a single parent, this definitely helped me to budget out the things that were needed for the week. They took me home (at no cost) while the repairs were completed. Thanks to Lou and Emiliano (the owner) for all their work being done at a fair price. I also appreciate how Margie (the other owner) was so friendly and attentive while I waited for the results of the diagnostic. She made me feel welcomed and at ease while Matt (the Tech) worked efficiently and thoroughly check my car out. After the repairs, Lou walked me back to the car while it was still in the bay, and showed me exactly what he had done and even showed me the cruddy, old, and cracked parts that were failing. Talk about service! I will be taking my car here from now on, no questions asked.

Had a blowout spark plug on my mdx. called first thing in morning and they said bring it in and they would start right on it. they were done by noon. very professional, great job at a fair price and they even transported me to and from home. I will recommend them and not hesitate to use them in the future. GREAT JOB GUYS.

Glad I was referred to EC Quality by great reviews. Service and staff are awesome, wouldnt take my car anywhere else. At one time Lou was helping me maintain 3 cars with service and maintenance. They did so expediently and economically and never too busy to take your call.

Moved here from Houston a month ago and My husbands truck was broken into and Ford was trying to charge him a ridiculous amount of money to fix the horn. Lou at EC Quality was so professional and fair and even washed my husbands truck because he said he had been through enough with the break in. Just picked my Mercedes up from EC Quality car Care. First off, my car suddenly started making a crazy noise and shaking so I called the 3 nearest places. First two didnt answer or ever call me back. Called these guys 3rd and immediately felt comfortable. (Which is extremely rare in a situation like this, I trust noone.) Most mechanics see an expensive car and start trying to run up the bill. As soon as I got there they started talking about how its probably not a big deal which is definitely what I wanted to hear. After the diagnostics test they gave me a few options and didnt try to push anything extra. I even told them that my brakes were probably bad because they were squeaking and they let me know that my brakes were fine. It was a little bent piece of metal rubbing and they just bent it back for free. Its so rare these days to find a business that wont lie to make money. I never write reviews but these guys definitely earned this one! Thanks EC and I cant forget to mention Lou. Great experience!

I just went to get my battery replaced, and Lou will be my mechanic until I graduate from school. He was super amazing, and the whole team just gave great customer service. Lou also throughly explained what was going on with my car, how he was going to fix it, and gave me a fair price plus a student discount. Not to mention they had free snacks, and as a college student free anything is the way to go. Definitely the best mechanics in San Antonio!

Both Emiliano and Margie have done such an amazing job of creating an honest and comfortable automotive shop that I can trust. As a student myself, my biggest worry is to be over priced for having a lack of car knowledge. Here they not only walk you through any issues with your car, but they break down the price so you know exactly what you’re paying for. Through every minute of my experience, Emiliano made me feel reassured, by explaining the importance of what was needed. I had to leave my car over night and they even offered me a ride home. On the way home with the amazing Margie, I learned that they are 100% family owned, with a passion of helping others. I absolutely recommend this location to ANYONE looking for a shop. It is near to UTSA, and they even offer student discounts!

Just stop looking and give these guys a call! Excellent customer service, Very fair prices, and fast turn around times! I had a fuse that kept going out so I shopped around to get estimates. Several shops wanted over $500 to just look at my car, with no garuntee of it actually being fixed. These guys worked with me to get the best value for my money and Im very thankful for that. Went to quality car care about a week ago for a repair done on so link bolts on the ride front wheel. The customer service was the best out of any car repair shop Ive experienced in San Antonio. They were honest, updated me periodically about the status of my car, and also were very friendly people in general. I would definitely recommend anyone that is having car trouble here to this shop as I know they would not be disappointed!

Honest, Quality, morals and ethics on point. Lou was a great guy. The help they gave me and understanding of not just my vehicle but my personal situation was beyond what I could have thought. I came in just for a computer diagnostic check. Lou himself help me at the front desk. He was very nice and polite and very thorough in everything. He explained everything he planned to do to the vehicle, then what got done to the vehicle, and then what all of that meant. Went to these guys to get help with a tire rotation and a little noise. First time coming here and as soon as I walked in through the door Lou welcomed me with a smile and a sense of great customer care. I came in for a tire alignment and upon servicing my vehicle Lou took me to the garage to show me that my tire was literally moments from blowing out. He changed my tire for me then and there because he felt that it wouldve been wrong to send me off with a tire in that condition. If that isnt great customer care then I dont know what is.

Customer service is wonderful here. I came in for an alignment after getting 4 new tires and to get my A/C checked out.I, perhaps foolishly, thought i could get away with charging my own A/C with a kit but those kits can get you into trouble! They evacuated and recharged the AC and it looks like i didnt do any real damage to the system. Now working great and the AC blows colder than before i tried to DIY it.High quality work here and fair pricing. Definitely recommended.

I moved to San Antonio about a year ago and I found myself in search of a new mechanic in the area. I am always apprehensive about visiting a new mechanic because of the fact that Im a female and some shops try to take advantage assuming that a woman isnt knowledgeable about cars, hence hitching up the prices for a simple service. After doing some research on auto repair shops near the UTSA area, I stumbled upon EC Quality Car Care and saw all the favorable reviews. When entering the establishment, I was politely greeted by Lou whom had a warm, inviting ambience. I explained to him what I needed done and he told me approximately how long it would take, as well as, offering me a ride home. When I picked up my vehicle, Lou went step by step as to all that was done while suggesting future maintenance but not insisting that I needed to get it done before I left the shop that day. I never do these reviews, but EC Quality Car Care is an honest, humble, and caring shop that doesnt get the credit they deserve. For any other women that feel uneasy going to just any auto repair shop, rest assure that youll be in great hands once you come here. I will continue to be a returning customer for as long as I am in San Antonio.

Great staff, very professional. They are my best mechanics.

They found the problem quickly but had to order a part from the dealership so ee left it overnight. My daughter had taken it in for me while I was at work so the owners son drove her home which saved me time. They had the part at 10:30 and I had my car back by 12. This was our first time and we went because of reviews. I now know where Ill take my car the next time.

Ive been to a couple shops out here in San Antonio and none of them have compared to E C. The guys at this shop know what theyre doing. Very professional and knowledgable. The bays were clean and well organized. The owner of the shop has been in there every time Ive gone in and you can tell from the moment you talk to him that your car is in good hands. The prices are very fair as well, and when I went in last they were offering 10% off for students at UTSA. This is a shop that I would recommend to family.

EC is a good guy. I have been using him for about 15 years with at least 6 different cars. In those years what I have valued most is his willingness to look at my perspective. If I tell him I cannot afford A,B,C&D he is willing to sit down and help me prioritize the repairs or decided if I need a new car. I also found him to be very honest. I recently took my car in for a new AC compressor. It had all the tail tail signs. I saved up the money, dropped of the vehicle and green lighted him for the AC repair. He calls me a few hours later and tells me the AC compressor was good, but instead I had a bad seal. He could have easily taken my money for the full job, but saved me hundreds of dollars and sure enough the AC has blown cold all summer long.Something else cool is his per-purchase check ups. Yes, I know I sound like a commercial now. But he saved me from buying a few pieces of junk. Or in his words, If you buy this car one of my mechanics will retire on the work to repair it. On the other hand I was buying a truck at a steal of a price and he told me, yes the clutch is shot and the engine needs a major tune up. He gave me the estimates for both repairs. EC told me for that price plus the repairs youll have a great bargain. I bought the truck, drove it straight to EC for the repairs and between the bargain price and ECs repairs I got 10 years of work out of that truck and if it wasnt for EC Id have passed on a great bargain.

NEVER GO THERE. i had been there for a car pre purchase inspection. ALL THEY DO IS SCAN OBD AND CHECK FLUIDS. i specifically told them that there is a cylinder misfire. they told non and when i trusted them and purchased my car. it turned out to be a heavy valve cover gasket leak. The front desk person bombards with huge bills for simple fix. NEVER EVER GO THERE

My second time here and definitely wont be my last. Great customer service, be sure to ask for Lou!
