I only gave them 1 star because zero stars was not an option - In our neighborhood we have a facebook group and everyone posts what they are paying Republic - there are people paying 28.69 for 2 trash cans, 56 for 2 cans, 88 for 2 cans, and then there are people paying 105.00 for 2 trash cans per month - when I called because our bill went from 36 a month to 57 a month to 89 a month to 105.00 a month -- and I was not happy about it especially in comparison to my neighbors; I was rudely informed that was the best they could do for us and she couldnt address what other people were paying. We were with them for over 6 years and this was their way of thanking us... I guess had we stayed with them in a few months it would have been 120 a month -- and then 150 a month -- and gosh by 10 years we would be paying close to 250 a month for trash pick up...horrible horrible horrible company~

Refused to pick up this one bundle of brush because the supervisor said there was no rope. Then he realized he was wrong and saw the rope they replied back that it had to be neater. We are talking about tree limbs correct? Lousy customer service!!! Anyone to go to about this lack of service?

** All active duty and veterans in the Abilene area please stay clear from this business. Terrible customer service.**They took over for KWS and I thought I would give them a try. Well, I couldn’t pay my bill through the website because it constantly asked me to verify my email. I then downloaded the app. After two tries was able to pay the bill. However, I wanted to provide feedback but the customer service button would not work. The irony. This interaction made me want to switch back to a local provider so I decided to cancel. They are charging me an additional $25.00 to end my service. They claim it is to pick up the can. And that is why I am going with CWS.

I do not overfill my bins and am very careful about positioning my garbage bins. Today, I discovered about a third of my recycling bin dumped into my yard. This is not the first time. I tried calling to file a complaint but the automated call routing system said its experiencing problems and to please call back later and it then hung up on me. Terrible company, terrible service.

Updating review to add that even after they responded and sent an email giving me a commitment to follow up 5 months ago…..this NEVER HAPPENED!!!!!They still continue to skip our recycle!!!! I’m so tired of calling and complaining to these people over and over!!! Seriously the laziest company I have ever been FORCED to deal with!!!!! They deserve ZERO stars!!!! What are we paying for when it’s never picked up?!?!Filed complaint with the Better Business Bureau about the lack of responsibility across the company including the littering we’re seeing. They are RIDICULOUS. Extra charge of 54.50 for an overage on a dumpster because 2 bags were sticking out which didn’t make the lid close. Seriously instead of taking a picture of my dumpster and charging me extra leave a note and don’t pick up my trash! Oh and I understand “well in the contract you signed it states that in there if the lid doesn’t close” out of courtesy for your customer the first time this happens it should be waived. Complete BS do not do service with them.

Absolutely the most terrible service and customer service I have ever had to deal with. I have never in my life filed a complaint but I’m this time I did. Family came down and accidentally put the wrong stuff in the recycle bin so they refused to pick it up. I then removed what was in it that they told me was not allowed. I called back they said someone would come out and then they never showed up and never called me. When I called to ask what happened they were extremely rude and said I’d have to wait two weeks for the next recycle pick up and just have to deal with having a full recycle bin outside and now a full recycle bin inside. If I could rate them 0 I would.

On January 2, 2021, we mistakenly forgot to place both the trash and recycle bins out. I would like to commend the driver of the trash truck for taking his time to move and to take our trash. As for the recycle truck driver, I cannot say the same since he could not do us a favor by moving it and taking our recycle materials. Since our pickup dates were changed from Friday to Saturday, due to the New Year, we forgot to move them. Again, thank you trash truck driver. May God bless you and your family always! Keep up the great work Sir.

Every time they empty the trash on Friday in my alley, my trashcans are either turned around with lids hanging or lying on the ground and I have to pick them up. I am 78 years old, have a bad hip and a bad shoulder and it hurts me to lift those heavy things. I took photos of them for proof if anyone at Republic are interested in seeing them. I would never recommend them to anybody.

Pick up for recyclables was scheduled for Monday. It is now Wednesday. Why has the service not been delivered? I pay for a monthly service. I demand a response. I see green cans up and down my street, so I’m sure it’s not just me.This is not acceptable. Please respond.One star review is the lowest rating. They are not regular to pick up. They dont reple cans were they get them from, Im disabled.hard to a hold of. They refuse to assist those who accidentally put trash in recycling for which I dont use and my neighbors was filled when they moved it. It is near impossible to reach to the bottom to get the mistake out and it hardly takes a second for them to dump it in trash upon request when they do regular trash. As of today they failed to empty my trash and it is full. They refuse to pick up overflow so Ill have to keep it inside, nasty. Not worth the exorbitant amount charged.

I am a business with 2 pick ups per week. In the last month, I have had at least 5 missed pick ups. Since this is the only option for trash pick up in town, there isnt any recourse but the service is terrible.

When we moved to Menard seven years ago our bill was $38.00 today it is $96.53 for once a week small container. We live on a fixed income. We are looking at other options but its hard when you live in the country and are older. We understand everything goes up with fuel etc. and dont mind paying our fair share. But this is getting unacceptable. They need some competition.

Consistently spills trash when they do decide to pick it up. They charge you if you dont do their job and separate the trash/recycling. Charge me an extra .50 cents, who cares... Now I have 2 trash cans...a brown one and a green one. It is definitely a TRASH company in every aspect.

My husband had five bags of leaves that we werent sure what to do with. When the truck came by our home in East San Angelo I asked the crew what we should do with it. They said Leave it to us. and they came and grabbed the bags (They werent even in the canister!) and took them to the truck for me! Great service guys!

The incompetence of these people is astounding. Each pickup day they scatter trash all about our neighborhood, and have refused to pick up our recycling because of contamination due to paper plates and napkins used for food. I tried to call and explain that we dont purchase or even have such items in the home, but they gave me the run around. If there was another choice in town wed jump on it in A SECOND. I called what I thought was the Local office for San Angelo, Texas to order a dumpster to do some cleaning. Was asked to hold while they connected me to their consultant, which was not even in this state. I asked for a small dumpster for my home for a month and I was told that would be a delivery fee and a pickup fee and the charge was well over two hundred dollars. Ask why it was so expensive! The representative told me to blame the city that they are the ones that set the price and signed the contract. What has happened to doing business with in your community even when you are dealing with a large company? I guess the service ends after they get the contracts. We pay a monthly service which we really do not get, we have to pay .50 cents more for each house hold because we did not collect the amount of recycling for them (Republic) so they could make even more money off of us. No it is not much, what is .50 cents, but added up by the total number of houses that are on the city water collecting that .50 cents and giving it to Republic. Thanks again Republic your true colors are flying high.

When picking up my trash, they scatter almost as much as what goes in the truck. When calling in my complaint, I was placed on hold for over 21 minutes before someone finally answered the phone. While on hold, their advertisements boast how much recyclables they dispose of annually. I would be more interested in knowing how much of the recyclables actually makes it into the trucks and all the way to the land field.

This service sucks, we need another service in San Angelo. My container was full I couldnt put anymorea trash bags in it and it was only Sunday still had 4 more days for collection, I left a few bags outside containers to be picked up and they didnt because they can only take whats in container. They suggested for me to take it to landfill. But yet Im still paying for their dirty, lazy job. Worthless company. City of San Angelo, find another company that would do a better job. We had a cleaner city before.

Contact your city council rep. This company is beyond horrendous in service. I was threatened with photos to be taken each week when I refused to back down. They would rather argue with you instead of address the issue. Trash scattered, portions of bulk picked up, skipped addresses, half emptied containers etc... Disgraceful San Angelo Customer service.

Is this how you treat service members? We have lived on the Air Force Base for over a month and have not had ONE normal pickup. They always miss something. I have had to call to schedule missed pickup multiple times. Twice now, they didnt even come pick up for the missed pickup that they scheduled! Of course, they miss several other people on the base on a regular basis. There has been a couch waiting for bulk pickup for a month now.

Seems they need new management. Multiple missed trash pickups. Multiple rescheduled pickups, never once picked up. Im about to take my trash to their front door step and let them pick it up there. But I wouldnt because that wouldnt be the right thing to do. However, this company appears to be severely poorly managed. Missed pick ups. Missed reschedule pick ups. Extremely long hold time to talk to someone. Thats probably because everyone else is having the same problem.

This is absolutely the very worst experience I have ever had with a company. The right hand doesnt know what the left is doing. They dont deliver what you order - and dont bother to call and let you know. Then heaven forbid you should need to talk to someone - they hire total incompetents who have no desire to help fix anything, plus you never get to speak to the same person twice so have to start from scratch each time.Run dont walk as fast as you can to get away from theses fools.I had to give them a star or you cant post. Negative 5 stars ! If a Negative rating was an option I would elect it. Twice in a row Missed pick up - Can sits out next to a main road.. with no obstacles for GOD and everyone to see - Called on 6/4 rescheduled and pick up on 6/5 - One would think that would stick with someone - 6/11 MISSED PICK UP ! Republic is nearly the single worst public utility in San Angelo its a close Tie - They must hire people from the half way house - complete and total idiots - this makes the 10th incident with Republic - We Had No Choice - San Angelo Screwed its Citizens by allowing them to service our city. UNFORTUNATELY there isnt a negative stars rating. Horrible company and constantly raising prices. Nearly double my dumpster price in less than a year and it is located less than 3 miles from the city dump site. Also the area rep was in contact with me and stated he would fix the problem. Nothing was done, of course. This company only survives on being shady and crooked. Will be changing service as soon as I am back in town. Stay AWAY.....VERY FAR AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY

Called Tuesday for missed pickup. Held on line for 15 minutes before talking to someone. After some confusion he finally agreed that my bulk should have been picked up. He said it would be picked up the following day. It wasnt, so now i have been on hold for another 15 minutes. I hope I will get to talk to someone soon.

Was woke up at 6:00 am with a phone call from the trash truck driver stating he could not get back out of my property cause he hit my gate and bent my electric control arm on my gate had to come out and get tools to remove control arm this company assumes no responsibility for the damage so had to call the Sheriffs office to make report took pics called local office was given the run around and told they would send it to claims department and did not know what to tell me about time or if they would repair it talked to gate company in town they said its a common occurrence around here had to order new control arm my self

Missed my trash again! I called to have them pick it up and they refused. I had some little girl who was supposed to be customer service argue with me about how they wouldnt pick it up. Now I have my last weeks trash stinking up the neighborhood and my this weeks trash is overflowing and in bags sitting by my trash can, but Im sure they wont pick it up because it isnt the can. That was for my home. Now, my dumpster at work has been missed. It is overflowing with dirty diapers and rotted food. Why cant they just pick it up when scheduled? I certainly pay the bill when scheduled.

Did not pick up my recycle bin. Could it be that its 35.85 inches from the other one. Im going to paint lines on driveway for the driver as this has happened multiple times to me and my neighbors. I miss the days where companies cared and were not just in it for the money.

We had dumpster divers going thru our trash, paid a deposit and monthly fee for their lock bar to prevent pilferage, if you have plastic lids the scavengers can still bend the lids enough to rummage at will, dont waste your money
