Pretty disappointed. I am sure this happen so much that the employees are numb to it. I was having a pretty expensive custom item shipped to me. They managed to misplace my package. The only response I could get from anyone is that I had insurance on it and I could file a claim. Felt like nobody cared that I was not getting my package. This is not something you can just reorder and have in two days. I wish they had a better way of looking for lost packages.
Very disappointed. We have a shipment coming from Tennessee that is stuck in Kansas city that was supposed to be delivered in SLC 6 days ago. I have been told 3 different times that it was leaving Kansas that night and it didnt happen. I was told yesterday it was due to weather in Kansas. I googled the weather there for the last 10 days...I guess 60 and 70s is a good reason for weather delays. The gal at UPS had nothing to say to that. If your going to blow smoke up my arse be prepared for me to check into it. As of this morning It still didnt ship out as she promised. Ive had two other shipments come from other parts of the east through Kansas since ordering this. Both made it here on time. From other ltl companies. I will not use UPS again.
I called here to find out what was scheduled for pickup at my warehouse. The staff was always patient with me and provided me with the information I needed to prepare for the pickup.
We dropped off a trailer. It was super efficient, but its not a customer interface. I was in and out of there, and I was able to help my mentee learn some skills.

Open until 5? Not really. If you come at 10 before 5 you can knock on the door and call the number written on the door, and the lady you can see through the window, standing right there, doesnt answer the phone! At 5:01, she comes to tell you they are closed. I did talk to the nice guy on the forklift and he was able to help me, but next time Ill look for a different way to ship.
2 hours on “ignore” on customer service line, no one ever answered. Finally found the secret number to SLC facility. No one ever answers the phone, NO ONE! Left voicemails on every manager mail box, ZERO calls back. UPS Freight doesn’t care at all about the customer who PAID for service! Never again! Use any other company for better results. Still know nothing about my shipment
Requested a pickup the day before with a 3:30 window. At 3:50 the day of the scheduled pickup, I had to call UPS twice to determine where the driver was. After a second call I was told they were short handed and the pickup would occur for another four days. Do NOT use these folks, a joke.

I got a call to schedule an appointment for today Monday from 1-5pm and they NEVER showed up nor I got any calls to tell me what is going on and I got tired calling every number I could find and leaving voice mails.Terrible!
Do not use UPS SLC. No showed 4 scheduled apts. it has taken almost 1 month to get them to deliver my ltl.
Just don’t do it. Honestly save your time and sanity.I was told that it would be delivered Thursday. I checked online it said it got rescheduled for Friday1-5, I got off work early to receive the package, I got online again and it said that it has been rescheduled now for Tuesday between 1-5. So, unless I pick it up myself I have to get off work early another day. That is money out of my pocket.I contacted customer service and was told that the local freight company would contact me to schedule a pick up. I was contacted by someone in the office who stated that an employee would be available at 2:00 and I could pick it up between 2 and 10. I arrived at 3:30 which gave them an extra hour and a half to retrieve my package. I waited for an hour and then they come up and said, “I’m sorry, someone moved your package and now we can’t find it.” Are you serious!? You are a shipping company! One of the most important things is to keep track of the packages. Then they try to tell me it’s my fault, “You only spoke with customer service and not our office to schedule this.” No, I have the incoming call logged on my phone from your office! This place is a mess, they’re obviously disorganized and there is actual trash on the ground in the bay. They need a total overhaul. I want to be reimbursed for the money I missed out on for not working, the time I wasted driving to and from the shipping yard as well as the hour I was there... oh and the gas that was wasted. They keep stating, “we have your phone number we’ll contact you when we find it.” Honestly, what good is does that do me now?That being said I didn’t have to be rude and I totally was, sorry. Please fix this problem, read the other comments, this is a recurring issue.

Absolute worse company to ship with. My package has been sitting at the terminal over a week now waiting for them to put it on a truck and bring it to me. UPS proves why unions are terrible. To many lazy employees that dont care about the customer
I had a rush shipment that HAD to go out, I told them I would stay all day to wait for them. I called around our closing time and they said they would be here in half an hour. I stressed it had to go out today and I would wait after our hours so they could still come, they said they would insure that a driver came no matter how late. I waited for an hour and a half passed closing time and called them back and they said they rolled the shipment over for the next day and they could do nothing about it. Terrible customer service and they lied. I used them twice. The first time they did close to the same thing and I thought. Hey, everyone makes mistakes Now they did the same thing on the second time too.
Payed for expedited shipping for a birthday present tomorrow, was supposed to be delivered by 11pm tonight, and when I checked the tracking it said that the driver attempted to deliver package but no one was home. There was no note on my door and I was home literally all day. I guess the guy just wanted to home early today. So I called their office and they said the soonest they can have it delivered is Monday. Which Ill be at work all day Monday- Thursday of next week and am only off work on Fridays. Definitely choosing any other delivery company over UPS next time, and hopefully others read this and make the same choice.
Can we give them -10 starts? and Im being generous. Actually I give them 5 starts for being THE WORST FREIGHT company. By far THE WORST freight company to deal with. They put you on hold for EVER! and they dont follow up with anything they say they will do. Management at the call center nor Salt Lake City, Utah ever pick up calls nor returned my calls. My shipment was to arrive today but they said it will not due to severe weather which is not true and now they tell me it wont be delivered until Jan 2. DO NOT USE UPS FREIGHT.

I moved from Oklahoma to take a road driver job with UPS Freight in SLC. But their #1 driver trainer is also am A#1 butt hole! Ive never experienced someone so arrogant yet stupid! I think he knew I wasnt as impressed as he thought I should have been! After thinking I had a job there for a month, I was dismissed by this butt wipe! Actually glad I didnt get the job. Wouldnt want to work there!
I never seen my life like this trip in the usa .they are the worst custemer sirvice i am truck driver i lost tow my expensive metal strup and for load and unload total its take 12 days l lost so many things i gave them 0000
JOSH, the supervisor at this location, saved my Christmas! Basically, my package was marked delivered but it never showed up at my house. I was freaking out because all my presents for friends and family for Christmas were in there and the people at the Doraville, GA location were of no help, not to mention that location has a little over a 1-star review due to peoples packages going missing all the time (97 reports since August). Im a student and couldnt afford to buy any more gifts to replace the missing ones either. Josh went out of his way to personally investigate what had happened, found the pinpoint GPS location of where the package was delivered, and guided me to the exact location while I was on the phone walking around outside. It had been delivered to a neighbors house 2 houses down, who are out of town for the holidays. If it werent for Josh, I would have gotten my package after my neighbors got home AFTER Christmas. So thanks again, I think Josh should get a raise and an end of the year bonus plus recognition for delivering the best customer service I have ever received. Merry Christmas!

I was told that my shipment was going to be delivered Monday and it never showed up. Same thing happened on Tuesday. I was told that even though I had an appointment to have my item delivered, they decided not to send it out that day with no call or explanation. When I contacted the distro center, I was given the worst customer service. The girl I spoke to acted pretty much like she didnt care. I hope the headquarters for UPS reads this, something seriously needs to be done about the lazy employees and operation you have in the Salt Lake City UPS Freight Service Center and Distro center.
Management style is bully them into submission. Not a good place to work if you need respect, honesty or integrity.
Its a great company however local management manages by intemidation and treats, they show no real leadership.
Worst company so far I have dealt with in the freight business. Dispatchers will tell you to use other freight companies after they get mad at you. Waste of time. I cringe when my clients use their UPS accounts for shipments. After you schedule a shipment, expect 3-5 days of waiting if youre not a convenient stop to make.

Keep your eyes peeled the next time youre on a road trip somewhere. Youll see UPS Freight trucks all over the place.I used to work for Martin Door. They sell garage doors to dealers all over the country. They have dedicated freight routes in the Western United States but whenever they need to ship to New Jersey, Michigan or Georgia, UPS Freight is generally the way they go.There are freight brokers who use a sophisticated system of utilizing available space on semi tractor trailers coming and going all over the country. Hell, theres even a reality series about LTL - Less Than Truckload drivers who jockey for profit. We used some web-based software where we would input origination, destination and weight and the system would give us the results. UPS Freight was generally always at the top of the list when it came to speed and price.I purchased some sailboat stands for a boat I have on the Great Salt Lake that needed to be craned out due to the fact that the lake is drying up. I had procrastinated and local suppliers were in high demand. I ended up using a firm called ScaffoldMart out of North Carolina. Seemed he used the same software I used at Martin Door and told me that UPS Freight wouldnt have the sailboat stands to SLC until the following Friday. This was the previous Thursday and getting them on crane day was cutting it too close. Nevertheless, I needed them and placed my order.Got a call the following Tuesday that they were available for pickup at the hub on California Avenue. All the way from NC over the course of five days. Wow!Went to the counter and this guy spontaneously guesses my age when he hears my name. Turns out Myron and I grew up together until the fourth grade at which point he and his family moved to Bountiful. So yeah, the guy that runs UPS Freight in SLC has a photographic memory. And he is the nicest guy on the planet, to boot!
What a joke. Super rude, I had to wait in the office for over a hour to talk to a dock hand and then it took 7 hours for them to unload the trailer.

Had the misfortune of dealing with someone from here at my last job. Incredibly rude and impatient. Had the nerve to snap at me after being on hold for 4 minutes despite that when i call ups, if i ever get ahold of someone its at least a 10 minute wait. Very poor representation of this company.
