Got some dirt bike parts powder coated here and they’re already chipping before it’s even been ridden. I’d go somewhere else for small parts. Clearly proper preparation wasn’t taken.

I had a custom made metal coffee table coated by Powder Keg. They sandblasted and coated the table in a very timely manner. They were very helpful and provided a great customer experience.. Most importantly...the table looked fantastic. The finish had zero blemishes and was well adhered. I thought the price to be very reasonable as well. Will definitely use them again.

I had Powder Keg blast and coat a skid plate for my old 4Runner. It turned out awesome and it was reasonable. The coat will far outlast any paint job that I could have done myself.I also had a rear Trailgear bumper coated to match the skid plate. The finish looks uniform, consistent and again will outlast the vehicle. I have a battery box there right now and I am looking forward to having a front bumper and sliders done for my old 1st Gen. I am thankful that I came across the business.Thank you

I had 42 feet of rusted railing from our house sandblasted and powder coated. Price was great and they finished ahead of schedule. Very helpful in loading in truck with foam pads to keep from scratching on way home. We are very pleased with the finish. I would recommend them and plan to use their services in future.

We had some custom shelving built for our retail tile store in SLC. The fabricators recommend we use powder keg to finish the project. The color selection was impressive and the turn around time was right on time.Great price, very happy with finished project.

I own a fabrication business here in SLC. I have used powderkeg two, three, sometimes four times a monthto powder coat the products we build for clients.Our main focus is hand rail and gates and they do a tremendous job in a timely manner at a fair price.The reason I am writing this review is that I just picked up a set of rims that I had done for a set of snow tires for my car. These rims look like new and saved me $750-$1000.

This is the place where your powder coaters employees go to get their stuff done.

Made an appointment to take my rims in to be powder coated. Arrived at the place on time. no one even acknowledged my presence. Finally found someone who spoke broken English and was directed to another building. Went over to the other building and same thing. No one wanted to talk with me. There were two men standing there shooting the breeze that couldnt be bothered to take my money. No idea what kind of work they do since I couldnt find anyone that spoke English and wanted to help me. Ended up leaving.

Had wrought-iron railings coated by this company, and the coating didnt survive installation. By the time the railings were up, the coating had come off in more than a dozen places. In fairness, I didnt have the railings sandblasted before they were coated. Maybe that would have helped the paint hold better, but I wasnt told this was necessary, so I didnt insist on it. I wasnt too upset about the defects; I just assumed that PowderKeg could make me some touch-up paint and I would take care of it myself. Imagine my disappointment when the manager told me that they could not match the color they had just applied, and they werent willing to try. The manager gave me a $50 discount, but now Im left trying to figure out how to cover all these defects in a way that matches the original coating. Im very disappointed. These guys might be fine for weatherproofing a boat trailer, but I wouldnt use them for anything that needs to look nice.

AVOID POWDER KEG AT ALL COSTS!!!!I dropped off 2 very small and basic automotive parts to have them powdercoated. I was told that the job would be easy and would take 1 week. After 2 weeks of silence, I became concerned and called to inquire when the parts would be ready. They told me the parts would be ready the next morning. This went on for over a 1 week. Every time I called, they told me how busy they were and the parts would be ready tomorrow. They always promised to call the next day and NEVER did! Finally, after 3 weeks of being jerked around, they called to tell me that the items had been powdercoated, but needed to be redone because they didnt turn out. When I finally went in to pick my parts up, the powdercoat was bubbled, dripping and uneven in many places. I was told that I could pay full price and take the wheels in poor condition, or wait another 3 weeks to have the blemishes corrected. One of the owners told me it was my fault the parts came out so poorly was because I kept harassing them to rush the job. I NEVER HARASSED OR PRESSURED ANYONE. I only called when they told me to. I just wanted to know when they would be done so that I could make arrangements to pick the parts up. I was so disgusted with the lack of customer service and poor workmanship that I ended up taking my parts to another powdercoater to be redone. In total, they had the wheels for 6 WEEKS and still couldn’t get the job done right!I usually dont post reviews like this, but I had such a horrible experience that I felt compelled to let other potential customers know. I have never been treated so disrespectfully as a customer. I could have done a better looking job with a rattle-can of spray paint (I’m not even joking).
