I wasnt sure what I was getting myself into when I signed up for this. When I went for the in person lessons I really felt like they cared about my personal success and wanted to help me get where I wanted to be in my career. Not only did I learn a lot, I made quite a few friends as well. Everyone is super friendly and professional. They give you all the tools you need for success. Its just like any other talent. You get out of it what you put into it. I am super excited to see where I go.

Unfortunately this is a scam company. They will probably reply to this saying “We have no record if your name”. However I’ve been with them for months. They charge 2k to sign with them and do “style classes” that teach you nothing. There is only one legit agency in Salt Lake City which is Niya models. Any agency that charges 2k just to work with them isn’t a real agency. A real agency put time in work into you to help you grow. This agency accepts anyone as long as they can pay. They also don’t get booked often and only for small projects for local companies in Utah. Please don’t get scammed like I did most of these “reviews” are from them. Scam company that should be shut down.

I honestly thought it was a scam. But I kept get followed up, and decided to do some research. Everything was legit, and I immediately jumped the wagon and signed. I never would have thought to sign with an agency as a Talent, but I did it anyways and followed my heart in this. All the classes have been very informative and super helpful. Your director is always there to help and guide you. Everyone really is just amazing, and super professional. They are here to help you win. And I’m just so excited to continue on this journey with them!

I have been with previous talent agencies and just recently started working with Urban. One thing I’ve noticed is how well organized they are compared to other companies. You get to know everyone of the team and they make you feel very welcomed. I would definitely recommend signing to anyone who has a hard work ethic and wants to succeed!

I am loving my experience at Urban Talent Management. Although I havent been with them long everyone that I have met has been helpful and truly wants all of us to succeed. I adore Tina. She speaks to my soul and makes this learning curve fun and relatable. Kendall is fun and creative and pushes you in ways you didnt know you could be pushed. Chelsi is so helpful and so organized (the glue). Lastly, Ashlee has made me feel like I can do this. I never thought I would be doing something like this, but now I am so hopeful that there are many cool experiences ahead.

SCAM SCAM SCAM BEWARE! They charge your 2k and that doesn’t go towards anything not even your photograph for your book cause they CHARGE YOU FOR THAT TOO! I wish I had found out sooner and looked into other options but any agency that wants to invest in you will do JUST THAT. There are other LEGIT agencies in Salt Lake City, even Vegas is closer and has more LEGIT agency. Please beware especially if you can’t afford to pay them $200 a month.

This company is amazing. I’ve always felt uncomfortable with joining an agency because was fearful that I would be taken advantage of and that they would only be after getting money from me. Urban talent agency proved me wrong on so many levels. They care about us, and do everything possible to get you ready for your modeling/acting career. I’ve worked with other modeling agencies in the past, which were just after my money and didn’t want me to succeed. Urban is different. I could tell from my first meeting with them that they know what they’re doing. Having worked with them for 6 weeks now, I can tell they want us each to actually succeed, and they are there to help us do that. My experience overall has been enjoyable. Tina and Kendall know what they are talking about when it comes to acting and modeling and character development. Yes it’s a little pricey, but that entitles you to a lifetime of workshops.

I signed w Urban six weeks ago and since then Ive attended multiple classes and workshops. Ive learned so much from character templates and body positioning to self tapes and cold reads. Everyone at the agency is super friendly and helpful as well. My directors contact me a couple times a week to ask if I have any questions or if I need help w anything, which is really nice since theres a lot of information and learning right after you sign. Tina and Kendall are v knowledgeable about the industry too which is great since they are the bookers youll mainly be working with.

Even though I just recently joined Urban Talent I have absolutely loved working with them! They provide clear information and respond quickly to any questions that you may have. They make sure to make all information as accessible as possible, and have a genuine interest at helping all of their talent achieve their goals. The Style Training-online & in person-was awesome!! The material was simple enough to understand for being something I haven’t learned before. I am so fascinated with the story creating to generate an emotion so the modeling or acting is authentic. I absolutely LOVE being a part of the Urban Talent Team! They are fantastic at preparing you for the real world of modeling and acting. This is a high professionalism Modeling Agency. If you arent on your best game, you dont make it. I dont mean you cant make it, you just have to work hard at it. Its a bit of a stretch and a lot of growth for an introverted person. You dont just stand in front of a camera and say Cheese. You have to know what your doing. You have to BE a model not just look like a model. The Urban Talent Management team does a great job at training and walking you through every aspect of modeling. The posing, the hand placement, the facial expressions, its all there! Do not apply or pay them for the training fee if you dont take it seriously! What you are signing up for is top dollar fees, but it is absolutely worth it! IF YOU TAKE IT SERIOUS! After just a few months of training a hand full of times, I can confidently say I am a trained, and professional model! I started with this company a few years back. Soon after starting, I realized I was not ready and willing to put in the time to create a successful relationship. Last year, I realized I was mature enough to really dedicate myself to learning what it takes to get my talent out there. Every staff member was ready to get me going once again. One thing I really love about Urban is that if you dont have acting or model training, they offer it for you. Many think its easy to do this line of work. Those individuals are mistaken. It is very fun. Very rewarding. But its a job just like any other. I am incredibly grateful for such an opportunity. And I look forward to our shared future.

I have signed with stars and urban. And Urban is a lot more proactive at making sure you succeed. Stars, you have to pay a renewal fee every year and pay for the classes. Urban, its just the one time. And its for life. I like that part about it. My agent has sent me follow up texts after a long time of not hearing from me, whereas stars just left me to hang out and dry... So great experience, I feel like they give you the necessary steps to succeed. And they emphasize that I do have to put in the work. And cant sit and twitter my thumbs.

Before you dismiss this review, here are a few things to consider. As stated in some of their complaint responses, Urban Talent Management is a booking agency, that is a separate entity from Style Inc. which serves the sole function of training new talent. Yes, there sign-on fee is not cheap at all, but its pretty obvious from the get-go that UTM has their stuff together. They are organized and busy and want their talent to succeed and do what they can to get them there. Im realizing that you get out of it what you put into it, though. And they will be upfront about their fees, contracts, and so far it seems like they will work with you as long as you put the effort in!

Grateful to be apart of Urban Talent Management. They are on top of things & They want you to book. With a worthwhile investment they give you all the info and training required to know how to shoot in front of the camera. Excited to grow and learn more with/from them!

Since I signed with Urban Talent, They have made every effort to make sure I am up to speed on the Industry. You definitely get what you put in. Nothing is just handed to you because you have good genes. Do the work and practice you will get jobs. Checking in, taking digitals and practicing is all part of it. Everyone has been extremely professional. They are there to help and I can see they truly want people to succeed. It has been nice to jump on all the free training they do provide in addition to the Style Workshops.

I absolutely was skeptical at first, anyone with a brain would be. But I took the plunge and jumped in and am so glad I did! Not even three weeks after signing and started my training did I book my first job. This company and the people who run it and run things behind the scenes are all amazing, talented, understanding, patient, professional people. They want you to succeed as much as they breathe. Summer, my director is funny, and always sending me updates and letting me know when things happen real time, Kendall and Tina are amazing booking agents that genuinely care about you and your success. 10 out of 10 would recommend this for anyone. It’s a lot of hard work and not just about “being pretty” you have to treat this like a full time job to get your results.

As someone who didn’t have any previous modeling experience, I feel like the directors and booking agents worked very hard to help myself, and other new talent, feel prepared! If you’re looking to model this isn’t the company for you, any real modeling agency wouldn’t make you pay for classes and training. Maybe a photo shoot for your book but other then that no. If you’re looking to get into modeling in salt lake look to Niya modeling agency. This agency just accepts everyone because they make their money off your monthly payment. Unfortunately bought into this scam but hoping this helps anyone wanting to get into real modeling.

My experience is they just want you to come in for an interview to try and sell you a portfolio and acting / modeling classes for around $1,700. This is what I hear from everybody who has gone in to talk with them. Im actually surprised more of the reviews dont make this clear.

In my short time with Urban I have just had such an awesome time with every new face I meet. Kendall, Tina and Alexa have really gone above and beyond to make Urban feel very welcoming and opportunistic. Especially as someone who has never had someone take the time to teach me the ins and outs of the industry, it’s nice to know there’s people in your corner for whatever “niche” you choose.

I have always wanted to act and model but I never really tried anything out. I decided to sign with Urban and have learned so much about this industry and I can’t wait to see the opportunities it brings me. They are professional and always have the answers to any questions I may have. Although I am signed with them and Style, I still feel as if I am in control and I really appreciate that. This company can take you as far as you are willing to go

I recently signed with UTM after getting scouted a couple of months ago. I’ve always been intrigued with the talent industry but never had the confidence to legitimately explore it for myself. Urban was not pushy at all, and just offered their support and professionalism to help me achieve my goals if I wanted to pursue them. At this time of my life I decided to go for it! I’ve learned so much about the industry already, how it’s so much more than what we as consumers see on the surface. I’m enjoying the work shops and really learning this new skill. The 2-day in person Style workshops were incredible. Tina and Kendall sacrificed a ton of their time and were very present and invested in us the entire time. These mandatory workshops, professional headshot, and portfolio shoot are a lot of bang for your buck, especially with the unlimited extended workshops you can participate in! You can go to all of these workshops as many times as you want. Amazing value. I am a naturally skeptical and hesitant person...but I’m so glad I jumped all in and signed!

I recently met with Alexa at Urban Talent. She was very knowledgeable, professional and all around great to work with. I am very excited to get going with this company. They provide you with everything you need to be successful in this industry.

Don’t waste your money here. Very Unprofessional and no faith in their models. Perhaps that’s what they are missing. They make money off the models not the other way around. Wish I had a better experience.

I have absolutely loved working with Urban Talent up to this point. They are highly professional and truly care about each and every one of their talent. Urban Talent takes advantage of people and scams them. Yes they do have talent that they represent, but they will take anyone to gauge money out of them. Beware ✌️

It is difficult for me to give this organization a 5 star rating simply because we are new to the industry and do not have prior experience to compare Urban to.So far I am fairly pleased with our experience, I didn’t know what I was getting into when my daughter scheduled an appointment for us to meet with Urban Talent Management but my 15 year old had shown a lot of interest and took initiative to research and set up and appointment to pursue a potential career in modeling. I want to support her ambitions so accepted the invite to meet. I think I did sign the contract prematurely an overall not disappointed that we did. I would suggest to anyone considering to make sure you have headshots before you go in, it will speed up the processes of being able to book jobs.I appreciate that Urban provides training opportunities to get you familiar with the new territory. Whenever I gave had a question with by phone or email they are always very quick to respond and provide the needed information. I wish that training could happen a little sooner, perhaps Covid has prevented us from having a typical experience. It is just frustrating to know that you are paying monthly but cannot book any jobs till trading is done as well as headshots but I get it and you have to start somewhere, Urban’s reputation is online so the models need to be trained at least a little before showing up. I hope there is ongoing opportunity for training beyond the initial classes.My daughter has only just finished her training which she very much enjoyed and feels she learned a lot. I would like her to retake some of them because her perspective has changed throughout the training and some review might help her processes things differently. We are now just waiting to get our headshots (which by the way we booked thought Urban and it takes avery long time to get back) so she can finally start applying for some jobs and hopefully recoup some of what we have invested in this.I think this will be a good learning experience and as Urban reminds us, “ You get out what you put it”, it definitely takes a lot of initiative to get ourselves out there, Urban is a “middle man’’ and the responsibility to seek auditions is on you.
