Laundry Day!!! Trying out another laundromat. This location is conveniently located across from a Maverick Gas Station. It was pretty quiet when I was doing my laundry. The washes, that I noticed, started at $2.75 and the dryers started with $0.25. They had one vending machine for drinks, a quarter machine, detergent/misc. vending box in the corner. They have a single bathroom on site. I believe they have free wifi too.I only noticed one washing machine was out of service in the front of the laundromat (very rare sight to see in a laundromat, only one!). The machines seem like they are regularly maintenenced. I liked that their plants are alive and the store is quite clean. This may be a regular laundry spot for me! I enjoyed reading a book while being able to people watch from the large windows around the shop. If you live near the downtown area and need a laundromat to go to, you should check it out.
I live close to this location and I was running behind one night. I ended up not being able to pick up all of the clothes that I owned. But to my surprise when I arrived the next morning, EVERYTHING WAS STILL THERE AND UNTOUCHED.
It’s a chill environment. The gentleman who owns the place is always friendly. My clothes/bedsheets have been washed and dried well. It is kind of pricey but, we all have to pay the bills. I would recommend this laundry mat 100 percent.
Always the cleanest best washer and dryers in SLC 5starrs
Look, if you are here to to your laundry, and then get out, you will face no problems.Just avoid the restroom. Enough said.
They just raised their washer prices from $2.50 to $2.75 per load, AND lowered the dry time per load from 6 to 5 minutes per quarter. They are making you spend more, for the same service in the middle of a pandemic. This is immoral right now because their community is struggling to put food on the table. Laundry services are recession-proof. Cant that wait until people have jobs again? This is just a greedy move. I will not be doing my laundry here, anymore, which is sad. Ill be taking my laundry down the street and advise you do the same. Dont feed greed.
They have an arcade videogame with three classic greats. It was kind of tough telling which washers and dryers were xlarge capacity. A little pricier than Im used to, but it has been 3 years since Ive needed a laundromat.
Pretty good place. Friendly staff. One of the big washers seemed like it wasn’t doing it’s full water cycle because there was lots of fabric softener gummed up in their respective cups, so check your washer before you put stuff in.
Quaint.quiet.reasonable prices for washers.also its great knowing that the dryer is only a quarter for 6mins!*kill time by playing the pac man machine in the back!
Nice place and I meet a girl and got laid.
Saw the owner harass a young woman for no reason he could defend when she made a scene to get others attention.Large washes are 6.75 which is a bit much imo. Place is unsanitary, no mask enforcement, bathroom is disgusting and out of soap. Machines and the rest of the place could use a clean up.
Cozy little old place I find. Plus you’ll get just a bit more value for your dollar. Good responsive management is quit nice too
Clean, pleasant lots of large machines
Clean, neat, easily accessible. Machines all function well
Always clean and always have a machine for you. Clean restroom. Peaceful
I love the place never had a problem. Owners very helpful. Cool old arcade game in the back.
Great place. Friendly atmosphere.
Nice quite place peaceful little and the owners were very nice when i got a piece of clothing stuck in the washer and made a mess that is a little place quite easy going
Very clean easy and cozy and safe
The thing that sets this laundromat apart is the care they put into maintaining the cleanliness of the space and the security. We left our laundry at the laundromat by accident yesterday and the owner actually bagged up our clothes and put them in the back to make sure nobody takes them. Additionally, the machines cost much less here and are faster at washing clothes than the ones at places such as Village Coin laundry.
Quiet little place. Never had any problems with machines or people here. Def would recommend to those needing a place to do laundry.
Good place to get dirty laundry clean. Plenty of washers both big and small. Although there could be a few more seats for people while they wait. So I would suggest timing your loads to come back for it. But plenty of parking, more around the back if street side is full.
Very clean very nice will use again
The dryers dont dry very well and sometimes the owner is not very friendly
There are loads of new machines. The place is very clean and quiet on a Wednesday afternoon. There are live flowers and an arcade machine, and the prices are just right. It feels too peaceful here not to leave a great review.
Expensive.
My dads laundromat was one of the original laundromats in salt lake city. he has worked years to keep both locations running as smooth as possible. we care about your experience and continue to work hard to make improvements to better serve you
I honestly think I made a mistake trying to come here. Machines are fine but I was a little misguided with how expensive it got.
Clean Facility n Large Washers .
Rose laundry keep updating the washers and dryers with the new ones. 8 NEW Dexter T-600( 5 load ) installed December 20, 2017. 20 NEW Dexter double loader installed on March 20, 2018. (The Dexter makes most advance and the most Expensive Washers). The dryers were updated several years ago and still charging 6 Min/ quarter. Rose Laundry established on April 15, 1987 and still going strong. We are very proud to serve our GREAT CUSTOMERS for years.
Average laundromat. Be careful in your side loading washing machine selection, some of them have visible green mold growing on the edges of the glass viewing window. Also homeless people sometimes use the bathroom for long periods of time. On the plus side they have a couple of arcade games.
Facilities need to be updated. No on-site supervision means that people hang around the site to get out of the elements even if they aren’t doing laundry. Good variety of machines available. A large number of machines means you never have to wait for one to be available.
I like that this laundromat is so close to my place. I can drop off clothes, start a machine and run errands. I dont care for the SUPER slow drying times on their dryers. But, you cant have it all right? I just end up dividing my clothes into multiple dryers and that shortens the waiting times.
Best bang for your buck that I found downtown SLC!
Went from 2 change machines to having only one. Washers are pricey but do a solid job. The vending machine for laundry supplies is either out of you need or is easy to mistakenly get something you dont want/need. Dryers are only a quarter for 6 mins but take at least 45 mins to get a solid drying, you do the math...
Good place to do laundry. It gets the job done. The only thing is that the change machine doesnt take my Bills. You might have to cross the street to Mavericks to get coins.
The prices on the machines are actually pretty good when compared to other laundry mats... Very clean and friendly place
Great location for those without a washer and dryer that live near the university
Im able to wash in separate fabrics at different temperatures then dry them the same way in less than an hour, while online handling other business.
One of the best and cleanest laundromats in S.L.C. They just installed brand new commercial washers. Surprisingly rarely crowded. Open until 11pm nightly.
Wish I had noticed the green mold growing in all of the front loading machines BEFORE I hit start on my loads :( I have never seen such neglected disgusting laundromat s since I have since being back in SLC. Come on owners, show some pride even if you have disdain for your customers. People are supposed to be able to clean their clothes at your establishment, not pick up and spread mold spores to their homes and the community.
This has been the worst, most expensive coin-op Ive been to in this area. $5 for a large load, and the $3 load hardly fits half of that. And their coin-vending machines take a TON of effort when you have a wrinkled bill. I couldnt reach my hands into the outdated detergent machine to get the detergent I paid for. So I went without it (even though I paid for it but couldnt reach it.) And its 25¢ for 6 minutes to dry. And the dryers are not very good, even on the high setting. Id say that for normal a load at home(when I had the option), it takes around 40 minutes to dry a large load, but here it is around 60 to 65 minutes to fully dry a load. Its worth it to take your clothes to a place where they can hang and air dry.P.S. The only bathroom is highly mistreated.
One of the better laundromats in town. Relatively clean, lots of washers/dryers, good number of outlets if youre staying and working, but no WiFi. People are genuinely nice. Across the street from a gas station.
It is good for laundry. It could have been cleaner but I wasnt expecting much because of the other reviews. Also some of the people there acted like they might be worried about people taking their things and so was I. If you sit in the front of the store and have stuff drying on the back someone could walk in and take your stuff and you wouldnt know. I sat with sight of my machines.
The machines are good and the place is clean, but the washers are $2.50 each and VERY small. A load of laundry that fits in a normal home washing machine took up three washers at Rose -- it gets pricey!
Great place to do laundry!! Clean, well taken care of.. Good prices
Not enough dryers, only 6 min per quarter drying times (vs. Many other places in town), and fairly dingy when it comes to cleanliness.
An ok place to wash your clothes. You can drink cafe at the cafe shop two blocks away or buy a drink at the shop across it and drink it outside if weather is good.
Clean and bright. Machines are in good repair and the owner is SO NICE!
Nice place close to the U of U. It is a little dated but everything does seem to work okay. The new machines up the ramp are the best and newest. The smaller machines are still okay though. They could have more seating but that is typical for a small place. The only criticism I have is the creeping guy who is always in there just standing around staring at people. He hangs out by the change machines. I am not sure if he is an employee or some random due but if he works there he could try to at least me friendly.
I dont know, its a laundry place, it sucks to do laundry at a laundry place but Ive never had an issue with it. The machines work well. The prices are okay, reasonable for a laundry place I guess, and the bathroom is surprisingly clean.
Great laundromat. Machines work great. Soap and softener dispenser on site.
Big enough washers and dryers for all of my friends clothes to wash and dry at the same time.
Have been to better laundromats. Also, have been to much much worse. The place feels clean. Coin op only though, which would be a bigger problem if they didnt have a retro arcade box with Galaga.
I like this place. large washers make doing laundry go so fast. some days it is so busy I feel rushed and wish more dryers get installed.
It has different size for different loads. Small 2.50 large 5.50 and extra larfe 6.50. At least the dryer is .25Salt lake is pricy...
Clean and good atmosphere.
Very affordable, and in the safer side of town. Its also across the street from a Maverick, very convenient.
Clean. Not too expensive. The small washers are 2.50 and the dryers are .25 for every 6 min.
Washers and dryers are all usually working just fine. But they dont have free wifi anymore so thats a bummer
Rose is great but seriously needs to repaint the parking lines out front to have a little more width. People are constantly unable to fit in the spaces and this causes a lot of scratches and frustrations getting in and out.
I like that I dont have to worry about strangers asking me for change. It usually attracts locals and college students.
Had all of my clothes stolen. Went out side to help someone jump their car, somebody came in through the back and took everything. Would not recommend
I love this laundry matt, customers are always friendly, its always clean, tons of washers and dryers always working. Come wash your clothes maybe Ill see you.
This laundromat may always be clean but I do have to admit the prices are super high the machines arent that top of the line not a lot of areas to fold your laundry or to really hang out while your laundrys being being washed dont really recommend this laundromat specially if youre downtown cuz thats where its at the super tiny and if youre a college student or someone in a family thats struggling the prices are way too high way way too high go somewhere else
I highly recommend this place for best and excellent service!
Clean, lots of machines.
Great place! Use it every week.
Very clean, plenty of washers and dryers.
Expensive, but reasonably clean, plenty of machines and counters to fold clothes.
Clean god laundry washers and dryers. And they have a restroom
Its was small but it has good washers not to impressed with dryers.
Washer 20 barely had any water! So disappointed!
Your typical laundry mat. Not to busy but not particularly large.
Closed during business hours. Waste of time.
Clean and friendly. Great time.
Great location, decent prices
Never had a bad experience.
Place is getting way run down. Srry used to use all the time. Now not so much
Needs new dryers and the vending machine ate my dollar, but other than that, its okay.
We were traveling through and stopped here and it served our needs. $2 for small washing machine, takes just over 30 mins. $1 for soap. 25¢ per 6 min for dryer, dried 2 loads in one in 48 mins on medium heat.
Clean and pretty hassle free!
Great washers and dryers
New washers but the dryers could use some help.
I feel a bit uncomfortable about the green mold on pretty much every washer door.
I like that it is 2 blocks away, conevant. ☺
They are expensive for the quality of machines they have in there..
It works for I go early to avoid crowds
Its a clean place with friendly clientele.
Has coin dispensers, no detergent available at location
Free WiFi
Slc classic
Easy to locate
Clean machines mean latrines
Old machines and small space
Everything works as should
Peaceful.clean.
Clean with restroom and coin service
