Wow! You listened and stepped up. I came tonight and found the equipment fresh and clean. Now I feel confident and comfortable in touch points and using workout equipment here. Thank you. This is now a 5 star review because you hear me as a consumer and stepped up! I’ll attach a photo that respects my workout neighbors by not showing them in it. No need now to talk to a manager. 🀩My old review: Convenient location for a gym but most of the equip is old, broken and dirty. Half the sanitizer bottles don’t even work. During this β€œpandemic” this place should be spotless. The equipment needs to be washed down every day but you see layers of dust and dirt. Super gross. They say it is a no judgment gym yet they have a dress code of no β€œstring” tank tops or jeans. I don’t care what people wear to work out, maybe it’s all they have. The gym doesn’t notify us when they change their hours! The staff is great, which is partly why I haven’t gone to another gym!

Its a solid, medium-sized gym. Definitely worth paying more for the black card membership simply to save on parking. That quickly ends up being cheaper in the long run. Weve never had any issues with validating the tickets. The staff is nice without being overly friendly.I really like that all the gym goers keep to themselves. I see people of all body shapes and sizes there and no one bothers anyone. Ive never felt out of place there even though Im just starting out on my fitness journey. People are also pretty good about wiping down the machines after using them. Just a heads up, almost no one wears masks, which may be a pro or a con, depending on what you think.Monday just after 5 is the peak busy time, but in my experience, there seems to be enough equipment to go around. There are fewer people on other days, so no issues there.

Here is my assessment after using this gym for 1 year.- Cost: Very affordable.- Equipment: Sufficient for most. Lacking for serious lifters (e.g. most equipment is machine assisted).- Cleanliness: Satisfactory. I used to find more dust than appropriate, but they seem to be doing a better job with cleaning because of COVID.- Location & Accessibility: Prime downtown location sounds nice, but it also means that its not very accessible for many since parking options become limited in downtown. If you buy their black membership, you get free parking.- Patrons: Id say patrons here are laid back and just mind their own business. I havent noticed too many issues. There are some that lack gym etiquette, so this gym should probably post signs to guide them better. Some monopolize multiple equipment concurrently, which is not appropriate, especially during pandemic when we need to be mindful about sharing equipment.- Atmosphere: Ive heard split opinions. I personally like how the entire gym has glass windows all around, but Ive also known people that felt uncomfortable because they felt exposed.- Staff/Management: This is their weakest point. This gym has the highest turnover rate Ive ever seen. Staff/managers keep changing very frequently. I literally dont see a single staff that I saw when I signed up a year ago. They were actually all gone in a matter of several months, and new staff that replaced them also got replaced just after months. I see 2 issues with this. Patrons dont get the comfort of having familiar staff face, and staff is always new, so they are not very good at their job. By the time they get it right, they are replaced with new staff. The biggest downside to this is that some staff or even managers dont know the right way to do their job. For example, there was a female staff that kept activating an alarm that they use to warn patrons who broke their gym etiquette rules (which is rather ironic for a gym that says they are against shaming people). No offense to her, but she looked like she had never exercised her whole life and didnt know anything about working out or gym equipment. She kept triggering the alarm and nagging patrons who werent doing anything wrong. I spoke to one of them, and he said she accused him of slamming weights. Well, I was there. He wasnt slamming at all. I also found out that she was a manager, but I had never seen her before, so Im sure shes new. Honestly, her misuse of the alarm was far more annoying than whatever reasonable noise patrons were making with equipment. It puzzles me why a gym would hire someone who doesnt know anything about exercise and shame people like this. This is a gym. People shouldnt be told to lift as if someone is sleeping right next to them. If they had seasoned staff/managers that stay at this location, we wouldnt have issues like this. If it wasnt for this component, I would rate this gym higher.

Worst customer Service I’ve ever experienced…I came in to get a day pass and I was told they don’t do day passes with a lot of attitude. I went online after I left and filled out the form for a day pass. I proceeded to go back to the front desk and tell the woman working the front desk that I had a bar code for a day pass and asked if that would work..her response was β€œI don’t know” again with a lot of attitude. Yea Um, it woked perfectly fine lol. You’d think your employees would 1. Have a good attitude when you’re asking a simple question and 2. Know the rules and polices of the company they’re working for. Ridiculous.

Friendly staff, but the equipment selection is HORRIBLE. No bench press, no proper squat rack, all they have is smith machines. I understand that they are trying to be a judgment free zone, but eliminating two of the most common and frankly essential pieces of equipment just because their sheer presence could trigger somebody is not the answer. I wish I had checked the place out before blowing money on a membership.

The place is great, except one scammy situation they have. Nowhere on the website or anywhere at all other than a small sign on their front desk says you can’t get parking validation unless you have a Black Membership. I have brought this up that I was never informed of this when I purchased my membership online (not a black membership). I scoured the website multiple times now with nothing informing me of this situation. I’m now paying more money for parking than giving in to this forced upgrade so I do not have to park two blocks away, I refuse to upgrade my pass until somebody with the company can address this simple communication problem properly. Two times now the employees at the desk have not even tried to entertain my concern about lack of expectations being set by Planet Fitness. The last guy just repeated the same sentence three times in a row before I even finished my sentences. I’m not mad, I’m just disappointed…

Cancelling my membership is (un)surprisingly difficult. Upgraded membership is also worthless.I only intended to have a membership for several months before I moved. The website lacks any information on cancellation, and only after calling am I told that I must cancel in person via signature. Even after explaining Ive already moved out of state, my only recourse is to send a priority mail with my information in hopes theyll process my mail request before my next billing cycle. On another note, unless you want the upgraded Black Card Membership card solely for parking validation (they will not provide it otherwise), it is a complete waste of money. The 50% drink discount only applies to their bottled water and Gatorade, none of the higher value drinks like Muscle Milk where the discount would be useful. Even then, the discounted price is still higher than supermarket/convenience store prices. The Black Card only Spa is also underwhelming, dont pay extra to stand on a vibrating plate and feel a jet of water through a plastic tarp for 5 minutes. The Spa area was always empty and after trying it I can see why.

Parking used to be free in a certain section but now you have to pay for it five dollars for the hour so literally for one visit it’s half of my payment for the gym membership the lady at the front wouldn’t help me or validate me… why would I pay more in parking than my gym membership? Im updating my review to add that this club needs better staff training to help them understand what reasonable sound is when using exercise equipment. Ive been a regular gym goer for 20 years and have never had anyone tell me that i slam things because I dont. I know those lifters that are obnoxious and slam things. I hate that, and thats not me. I slow down plates and dont slam, but guess what? When metal plates touch each other, they will make some noise. The manager here clearly doesnt use exercise equipment. Today, she warned me that i was slamming either l weights when i didnt. Then, she kept using the alarm frequently on others. Ive been coming here for over a year, and Ive never seen this before. She must be a new manager. Her name tag said Dee Dee. It is completely absurd what she is doing. This place needs to hire someone with more knowledge and reasons instead of someone who seems to be taking out her personal issue on good customers. The alarm shouldnt be used for power tripping. Edit end. Im giving 1 star because they are not taking COVID seriously. 90% of their patrons arent wearing masks. Ive shared this concern with them more than once, but nothing has changed. We are in the midst of another spike, and this gyms irresponsible operation is definitely contributing without a doubt. Its disturbing when a business only cares about making money over public safety/life. P.S. Its even worse that they think requiring members to wear a mask to enter the building is doing anything. Unless the government mandates? Thats a cop out way of saying youd rather not have to do anything extra unless you are forced to. Give me a break. Even simple grocery stores are requiring customers to wear masks. You are a gym where people breathe heavily. You should be taking a greater precautions than a mere grocery store. Its really shocking how they cant comprehend something this obvious/simple and fail to do the right thing.

Walked in to cancel my membership 5 months ago & was still being charged monthly. When I called to ask about it, I was told I’d receive a call back following up on the situation but never did. I called back & was told I needed to provide proof of my cancellation, which makes no sense considering I signed a piece of paper that their employee should have filed. Not to mention I haven’t been in the gym for 5 months? Ended up having to cancel my card to get them to stop charging me. Not a bad gym but extremely poor management and customer service. My reply - I’ve already spoken to your management & they were not helpful to offer a solution whatsoever

They post all of their rules throughout the club, including Covid related safety precautions. However, very few people are following them. Why? Because no employee, manager or otherwise, enforces any of the rules. Its abysmal and no one cares or does anything about it. Facility is about the same as any other PF.Edit: More specifically, there is no enforcement of wiping down weights and equipment, of wearing masks when wandering around the floor or the locker room, of replacing weights after use, or of stopping loud cell phone conversations while wasting time on machines. These are not isolated incidents and Ive witnessed most or all of these everytime Ive been for the last three visits since I moved from Bountiful. This is one of, if not the most crowded location, but enforcement of rules is non-existent. Management says they are trying to get better. Ill give them a chance, but the next contact will be the health department.

I think their marking is creative. They catch people with the $10 a month with no commitment. Once you look at them closer, you realize they use the same tricks as other gyms, they are not different. There is an annual fee of $39. I see no reason, other than for tricky marketing that this would not be incorporated into the monthly payment. Just make the monthly fee 13.25+taxes. Just like the advertising, people here are very chill and non judgmental. If you just want to go to the gym, do your thing, and not talk to anybody, this is where you want to go. Their response to COVID was fast, although I would greatly appreciate it if went back to their 24/7 schedule. Their shortened hours is causing the exact opposite of the intended effect where you have a rush hour of people trying to get their workout in before they have to go to work. It’s more so disgruntled people that don’t read what they sign. I’ve been going for 4 months. It’s clean, equipment works, and most machines are new Life Fitness, which is the best brand imho. Did I mention the place is clean?? Members wipe machines down after use, and everything else is always maintained by the staff. The employees are friendly.....except for that lady in the mornings, I do agree with the other review about her rudeness, but hey maybe she’s not a morning person... Parking is free with the Black Card membership, so if you’re not doing the Black card, then yes you will need to pay for parking. Honestly Black card is ten bucks more, but you get so much more with the Spa area, that it’s easily worth the cost. The massage beds and chairs are awesome as well...oh wait second complaint...why the hell did you guys reduce the beds to 10min....? I could use 30 on those things. Good location. No pressure. Very easy access If you take Trax. Someone mentioned they charge for parking. Well, they dont. Its called being in a big city with the grown ups. Leave your car in the burbs and commute. Salt lake city has great public transit. If more of us used it we wouldnt have so much pollution

What can I say, this is my gym. I signed up for this gym because of the amenities. They had a special for $9.99 a month. But I chose to pay extra so I could get the the special treatment, where they offer HydroMassage as well as an in chair massage. And work out privileges at any Planet Fitness anywhere. All for about $25 a month. They gave me a personal trainer who helps me keep track of my progress. Overall a great gym to go to

Im not a member of planet fitness, but go with a friend who is and who can get in a guest free. Ive been a few dozen times snd really appreciate the fact that I can go with a friend without any pressure of joining or any other hassle. The staff has always been friendly and helpful when I go, and if/when I change my home gym, Planet Fitness would be at the top of my list.

I like the updates they have done around the place. Its super nice now to find more correct equipment and more professional looking. With that said though, why is this the only location in the valley with short, odd hours? It isnt open 24 hours like the rest. I honestly had to cut my workout short last week because I went in at a time not known for being busy and there were so many people. There wasnt enough equipment in the free weights area and just people standing around waiting for the chance, what a great way to feel while working out. And on top of it, not only paying $20 just to get free parking compared to all the other locations as well. So why cant they be open longer?
