DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY! The sales rep (Leslie) that will sign you up for the service will tell you that you will have a match every 3-4 weeks. This is an absolute lie. Im convinced that they have no pool to pick from (they conveniently wont tell you how many people they have in their pool because its always changing) and they basically match you with whoever they have. There is no intentional matching going on with this service. Youll have better luck on the free swiping apps. Seriously, do NOT waste your money and time on this and do not get your hopes up that anything worthwhile will come of this service.I have asked the girls Ive been on dates with what their experiences have been and they have admitted to having horrible matches where their written parameters were not taken into true consideration. Everyone Ive spoken to has been extremely disappointed with the service as well.

They said they would set me up with about 1 date every 4-6 weeks. Did not deliver. I agree with the commenter who said they dont have the clientele they advertised. They charged me $3,000 and set me up with 2 dates over a 5 month period. When I called and asked what the delay was they blamed it on the holidays and people not wanting to be set up during that time. Also, didnt listen to what my personal needs were when considering who to set me up with. Complete scam. Luckily I met my soul mate on my own and am very happy now. Save your money and dont trust this service.

My initial meeting with Leslie was very professional, informative, relaxing, communicative, and fun. Leslie went into great detail regarding all the programs Salt Lake Match Makers offers. Sherri was very professional and very easy to talk with about the program. She was very knowledgeable about the program and what it could do for me. I was very at ease with her asking questions about my likes and deal breakers. She listened to my situation as this is really stepping out of my comfort zone. We shared many details of our lives and experiences which to me being a people person in my career put me at ease. I felt she was trying to help me with finding the right person as a match. I would suggest this program to others if the situation presents itself.

I joined this a few months ago. The first match they gave me said she was busy and kept postponing the date. Never happened. The next number was keen on meeting at a restaurant only and refused to meet anywhere-else and thereafter no contact. In retrospect, I think she was hired by them to use my match payment in promise of free lunch! Then covid came and all the numbers they gave me were bogus. The matched person either didn’t respond or gave some excuse to talk later but no dates!!! Their employee Vanessa specifically told me that the other person changed their mind and doesn’t want to meet anyone due to COVID lockdown. So they’ll get me another match instead. Later she said they don’t care what happens after they provide the number. Similar issues happened again and again and they used out all my matches!!! Effectively they gave bogus numbers and ripped me off.

I have recently joined and so far have had a pleasant experience with the staff. I felt the initial interviews were conducted both professionally as well as supportive. I also appreciated their willingness to go above and beyond so that I could participate as well as find a good match. I look forward to see who they match me with.

This is a racket! I would give zero stars if possible.The provisions in the SLC Matchmakers corporate contract are are very different from the services promised by the individual who gets you to sign on for them. I was told I would have a matchmaking team and that there were an abundance of matches for me. This did not prove to be true and when I requested a refund, even just a partial one, I was told by their company representative to read my contract which basically said SLC Matchmakers didnt need to provide me with anything. The only matches they have offered were far outside of the lengthy preference questionnaires they had me fill out. Why would one want to pay a very large fee to be matched with individuals that you would swipe left anyway? Dont sign!

Dont trust them all they want is your money 6000$ for 1 month I dont carry a credit card or debt card they wanted me to call my credit union and activate either a credit or debit card right now was her response ro me Salk Lake matchmakers more like salt lake bankrupters dont fall for their scam they dont care if you dont find someone its obvious when talk to them!

I stand corrected on my original post. I originally gave them a poor review after some minor mishaps. Once they heard I was upset they immediately called me and address every one of my concerns. Jess, the matchmaker took time to explain all the processes to me in detail and completely changed my mind about this company. I felt she really cared about my experience and was very knowledgeable. I have done online dating off and on, but nothing compares to Matchmakers! I was so impressed with the personal interview I received. It was extremely thorough, detailed, and comprehensive. So much better than on line questions and matching. In addition, the interview was done in a relaxing and very pleasant atmosphere. I have gone out with a couple of men that have been nice, but the chemistry was not there. I am 75 years old, and I know that Matchmakers will find the right person for me! 😃❤️ This is such an easy way to date! I will never go back to online dating.

I signed-up with this service and paid them $3,000. We agreed that they would provide matches with women who had a college degree and an interest in fitness. They only introduced me to one person who fit neither category contrary to their agreement. They didnt make another match for an entire year but demanded the rest of their money although they have done nothing. They do not keep their agreements, they are misleading and dishonest; they are not good at what they do. They also held themselves out as having some kind of technical expertise for providing this service but I am quite certain they dont. I suspect they just line you up with anyone who is in your age bracket and ignore your other criteria. I would definitely not recommend this service to anyone. $3,000 is a lot of money to pay for one date that you dont even enjoy. I really dont like this business at all. I think they are crooked.

After some back and forth with a company representative through the BBB- Without going into all the particulars, I made a very reasonable and valid request - not for a complete refund - but that I was willing to pay $2,600 for ONE date that I believe was matched on race, rather then any actual true matching expertise or genuine effort. First be aware, this company is not actually based in SLC - any call you make will be forwarded to a location in California - and regardless who you ask to speak with, you will be forwarded to any number of call takers, that needs to review your profile to be clear with whom they are speaking. In the end, it is very apparent that getting and keeping your money takes precedence over any regard for quality customer service and/or genuine care.PLEASE TAKE SOME TIME TO READ THIS REVIEW- and then move on to another site….The truth they neglect to tell you is that SLC Matchmakers is based and serviced in Sacramento, CA. The SLC office simply collects your money and then disappears. Consequently, all of your calls will be forwarded to Sacramento and (if ever answered) will likely be a different person then you asked to speak with – or more frequently, you will get to someone’s voice mail that may take weeks to return your call, if at all.Anyway – as for my experience, I joined Matchmaker (Capital City) in Salt Lake City, UT. It was during the middle of Covid pandemic, and following a particular “down” period for me in my life – lonely and still trying to recover from a painful divorce. So needless to say, I was extremely vulnerable when I walked into the primarily vacant “headquarters” for Salt Lake City matchmakers. Within a matter of 45 minutes of high-pressure sales, I had committed to $6,600.00 of funds that were well beyond any reasonable fee for their service provided. Unfortunately, the downward spiral only got worst from there.

A complete waste of time and money. They do not return calls/emails. They do not follow through in sending emails. One of their matchmakers spoke loudly and unkindly to me, simply because my writing pin quit working. Although I gave them an out line of who I was, and the type of person I was looking for, they could not get it right.Very poor quality. Not worth the cost.

I share a lot of the same points of view as the one star reviews here so there is no need to repeat them again.I think the bottom line is that the sales team is a lot stronger than the delivery teamI paid a lot of money in June and I’ve been matched once with someone who didn’t have the qualities I signed up for. The delivery team has tried twice to match me up since then but they aren’t sticking to my list of requirements and so the matches never have gone through. I’ve had to work pretty hard to confirm what I’ve asked for but I shouldn’t have to.It seems that I put a lot of effort into contacting them so I’m not forgotten. Weeks go by with no contact from them.Unfortunately this is a pretty one-sided deal. If you don’t keep your end of the deal they penalize you but if they don’t keep their end of the deal there’s nothing you can doI used my vacation budget for this adventure but it was a mistake. No adventure at all.Last thoughts of all, some of these five star reviews seem like they’re made up or from another office in a different part of the country so their review number is boosted higher. Just an opinion.

I waited several months before making this post because my experience was so awful. I consider spending money on this service to be the biggest mistake I have made in a long while. The people who run this service are kind and willing to set you up; however, the truth is either they did not respect me as a paying client or their screening process is very poor. I felt that getting my money was the driving force behind this organization and, in truth, I dont think it is as professionally set up as they want you to think. I, unlike many, decided to cut my loses and run from this service as fast as I could. Do not waste your money here.

This is the craziest thing I have ever encountered. My first match date left me wondering if I had wasted my money on this service? My second match date was like winning the love lottery!!We met for brunch on memorial day weekend. We left not really knowing where we stood.Yesterday was our 4 week anniversary and I put myself on hold. Matchmakers go to great lengths to find the right soul mate for each person. Kent and I met in December (my first Matchmaker date). We hit it off right away because he has the same interests, values and sense of humor that I have. I laughed more in the first month than I did in the last 30 years. My first individual matchmaker that worked with me used me as a pawn. The company apparently needed a date for someone threatening legal action. I tried explaining to the matchmaker that this would never work and she just kept pushing until I agreed. I did not like having to argue and then feel forced to accept a date. It was a terrible experience, and waste of time and money. They promised that it would not count against my membership date total. Emily was my second matchmaker and hit a home run. In an 8 day period of time, we have three events planned. Emily cracked me up when she asked me how the first date went, because what I had written about it. What is truly funny is my match works across the street from my company. We have texted each other over a hundred times and broken every helpful tip. She is an amazing woman and is very selective about who she dates. Its my birthday tomorrow and she agreed to join me for dinner. After all that texting, it will be interesting to see how the conversation develops. Last time it was a 2 hour marathon, with many unanswered questions. Emily has done a great job and I would like to thank her very much and yes I would like to put my membership on hold for now.

Ive read with interest the reviews being posted and wanted to share my own experience. I have been using Salt Lake City Matchmakers for several months and have had 5 matches so far. While not perfect, my own experience has been very positive. I would rate two of the matches as excellent, with great chemistry and common interests. Two were very good matches. One was a miss because of a miscommunication on my religious preference. By comparison, before starting with Matchmakers I had been using online sites and referrals to meet people and had much less success than I have had with Matchmakers. I dont think there is ever going to be a perfect or painless way to meet people but Matchmakers has been a great way to save time and the brain damage of sorting through thousands of online profiles and dating people not serious or not compatible.

Sonoma Matchmakers has been a bit of a struggle but I have found the quality of people so far to be worth the extra time and energy. You cant sit back and relax, but if you advocate for yourself and the service you want the matches are definitely good caliber people committed to finding a relationship and making one work.

I just want everybody to know that Jessica has been my matchmaker and she has done a wonderful job in line me up with the type of people that Ive asked her to and if theres been questions or changes shes done it for me and I have been pleased with the service and I would recommend anybody looking for someone to use their service instead of using online I tried both and I prefer matchmakers hope you do too

Salt Lake City Matchmakers uses covertly aggressive sales. The sales woman used deceit and manipulation to sell their program and attempt to derail you emotionally.When I called to ask about the program they were deliberately vague. Telling me they needed to interview me in person to be sure I was who I said I was. Which sounds great if you have been in the online dating world you know there is a lot of photoshop, old high school photos, snapchat filters, and deceiving height, weight and ability “estimates”. So when someone says they will do that screening for you it sounds promising. They use charm and flattery. She told me how pretty I was, what a nice body I had, how easy it would be to find amazing matches for me. Then the next minute telling me how hard it was going to be as my life was so great without needing someone to “complete me”. They do hours of personality testing, mixed in with high pressure sales where they use diversion, guilt and sarcasm. They tell you how hard they have had to work to stay in business with on-line dating, they tell you they aren’t sure you will “qualify” for their program until they have done a credit check, a background check, and noted what kind of car you drive, how much you owe on it and credit cards and how much they have figured you maybe willing to spend to find the person of your dreams.They know what you want by the time you make it to their door. They know you are exhausted from the online drama. They know how much you make and how much debt you have. They take you through a manipulative emotional roller-coaster and then go in for the kill. They offered me 12 matches over 12 months for $5,000. She threw the background check in for “free”. When I asked to think about it overnight she asked if she “had the perfect match for me would I want her to let them think about it, and possibly get away”?Know your rights. Read the contract, you have a small window to cancel, know the state laws, I put my cancellation request in writing I faxed it and kept the confirmation as well as mailed it registered mail. They still were refusing 2 weeks later to refund my money. . I’m relieved I used my American Express. They assessed the contract and contacted the company and refunded my money. Salt Lake City Matchmakers; would not have given me my money back. They attempted to call me several times, I’d assume to make a better offer or to try to talk me back into a contract with more “special” offers.

Jessica has been great and very thoughtful. Since I was very nervous and reluctant in getting into the dating world, especially with how it has changed but Jessica has been there for me in this process. I highly recommend having someone like her in your corner.

I gave this matchmaking company a 4 star bc even though the first woman I met wasnt completely what I was looking for looks wise, all I had to do was talk to my matchmaker about it. After that, I was more satisfied with my matches appearances. I think would recommend this company to my friends!

Matchmakers is awesome. I’v Been working with one of the best personal match makers they have. Her name is Kyana. She actually listens to what you’re looking for. And try’s really hard and fast on finding you the best possible match.At the moment I’m dating a sweet and very intelligent guy. They really listen to what you want in a partner and help you get it! They are great to work with and also help you understand how the process works!

I wish I had looked at these other reviews before signing up. They took $5,100 of my favorite dollars, and promised me a minimum of ten matches personally chosen for me. I was upset at the price, but figured it would be acceptable if I met one or two compatible women. The recruiter told me I would be meeting more women than I could handle. Although during the period I was given ten names and phone numbers, three of the women did not appear to be interested in dating at that time and after multiple calls I gave up on them. But they still counted those women against my ten introductions, and I only met seven women in 13 months. So basically I spent about $725 per name, and have nothing to show for it. One of the women was really nice, an attorney like me, but after a few dates she said her young children at home and busy work schedule made dating too hard. Other than that the women were mostly mediocre. I was told one woman was an accomplished healthcare specialist, but at lunch she told me she was retired for medical reasons after falling and hitting her head, and her short-term memory was shot. I was completely ignored between April 16th and June 6th 2018, even though I was calling and sending emails asking what was going on. They didnt pay attention to me again until I demanded my money back. One woman I was introduced to did nothing but brag about how brilliant she was (she wasnt), and texted me the morning after our only date wondering if we were going to get serious. Her constant bragging irritated me but I turned her down gently, and then had to block her email and phone number because she kept sending me bizarre hatemail. I am a lawyer, very active, well-read, outgoing. I took my dates to fine restaurants or classical music concerts or the opera and paid for every penny of every date. So the bottom line is expensive, terrible service, mediocre candidates, a thorough waste of $5,100. I feel like a fool, but I will feel better if I know I can keep someone else from being cheated like I was. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!FIVE MONTHS LATER; I happened to come across this review and realized that they had continued their ways. If you will read their response, below, they said they had been trying to phone me. That would be your first clue that they are lying jackals. You dont try to phone most people. You call, they answer, or you leave a message. It is not a complex process. So if someone says they have tried to call you and you have voicemail, and your phone also keeps records of all incoming calls, you know they are lying. Notice they say they will get in touch with me to discuss it. I dont want to spoil the surprise, but of course they didnt, that would not be consistent with their status as lying jackals. So, to sum up, these people will take large sums of money from you, and leave you with nothing to show for it. I suppose that occasionally they manage to help someone, but my experience, as noted above, was terrible. They would go months without contacting me. They told me a potential date was an accomplished medical professional but at lunch she told me was was retired on disability from a severe brain injury and had little short term memory. And so forth. They do not care about you. They provide lousy service. They do not behave professionally. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!
