I got the chance to DJ a Wedding at this venue this last weekend. It was my first time being a vendor here. The fact they have no elevator, close parking and have a time constraint for vendors coming in & out scared me. Those three combo’s make it hard as a vendor. But after working with them and working at there venue all my fears were calmed. Great staff, great venue and it turned into a fun place to DJ!
I had a wedding reception at Church & State, and couldnt have picked a better venue. The staff was wonderful to work with and the venue was gorgeous all on its own. The executive director at C&S was also helpful in finding our caterer who we loved as well. Great for weddings and photo ops, highly recommend!!
Great place to study, but theres also a hidden gem downstairs. The best Brazilian Jujitsu school in Utah 🤙
Combat arms is located in this building, and the class that I took recently was phenomenal, and sparked an ongoing interest not only in myself, but within my home as well.
Very nice people. They have cool events here all the time. The building is pretty historic. When it comes to old building reviews, this one deserves 5 stars. 😂
Great co-working space. We have had an office here for 4+ years and love it.
Weve been renting a small co-working space out of here for a few months for our Pathology company. For the most part, everything is well run and the space is affordable for downtown. Its definitely a space for startups, and there are quite a few events and gatherings. Owners have done a good job making this location work.
We had our wedding here and it was the most amazing experience ever! Our wedding coordinator, Blair, was amazing and on top of everything so our wedding ran smoothly and efficiently. Blair dealt with all the vendors the day of which made it less stress on me and I appreciated that so much! She was very flexible on when we dropped our wedding things off and when we picked them up. She has experience in coordinating tons of weddings so she was able to answer any questions and also suggest many ideas to make our wedding fun. We had about 140 people at the ceremony and then about 50 more arrive for the reception. The ceremony was done upstairs and then everybody moved downstairs for cocktail hour while the staff flipped the upstairs space for the reception. The space was perfect and it did not seem squished at all. We were able to bring in our own alcohol and bar tender which was perfect for what we wanted. The stain glass windows, brick walls and the bistro lighting made the ambiance so romantic and was very unique compared to the places we have been to for weddings in Utah. I would highly suggest this venue to anybody!
Ive been a member at Church and State for a long time now and I love it! The conference rooms are great and theres some great companies here too. Summit is a wonderful dog. 🐶
I went here for a wedding reception of some family friends. The place is on the corner. Inside it is clean and well kept. There are restrooms inside as well. Parking is very limited unless you pay for it, on the streets during the days from 8:00am to 8:00pm.
Great venue, open space, and co-work environment. Wonderful staff who take care of the place. For vendors with gear the load-in is a little tricky.
Attended a family members wedding reception here. The place was beautiful!! We were able to have a luncheon downstairs with everyone, plenty of pictures throughout and the wedding and reception went off without a hitch! Parking is a little sketchy at the venue itself but if you dont mind walking a bit (street parking at the library across the street was wide open!) you can find plenty!
Large open space historical environment to collaborate without a fee. Also offer meeting rooms to lease for when you need to get down to business. Comfortable seating and tables.
Its been over two years since I started working here and I love it. I love the conference rooms, vintage sofas and overall atmosphere. I totally recommend this place. Its also pet friendly 🐕 🐈 🐦
Clean building. Terrible air conditioning, though. I have no clue what this place actually is cause Ive only ever gone to wedding receptions there. Is it an office? A school? I metting hall? A church? Who knows? But it has nice couches.
I have been a member of Church & State for about a year now and they are the best. Come on in to meet Summit (The dog) and see why this place is awesome. You are welcome.
I attended a small function here. Space was cozy and worked well for the function. Catering was very good with a nice selection of choices. Nice event space for smaller more intimate events.
We are new members here at Church & State(CodeShoppe Studios) and are renting out an awesome office space! We love the culture and the staff. The conference rooms are really nice and we are excited to bring our clients to this great place!
I attended a wedding that took place here. Ive have never been here and was very impressed with it. I enjoyed the facility and staff very much.
Cool little venue, great for small conferences or off-site meetings. They do a great job on food. It is really dark inside though so be aware of poor lightning if you need that.
Ive been a member of C&S for about a year now. The place has a fun and energetic vibe that is exciting to work in. Not only do you have a semi-private work space to do your own work (or a private office) but youre surrounded by other thinkers, innovators and do-ers! Highly recommend C&S!
CHURCH & STATE.....IS AN AWESOME NOT-PROFIT, NON-DENOMINATIONAL CHURCH... THAT IS RIGHT NEXT TO THE SLC LIBRARY... ALSO BEING THAT ITS RIGHT OFF OF 400 S. WELL THEN YOU HAVE IT RIGHT HERE.....ENJOY¡
Cool venue for group events! Even though the outside is a little ugly, I love the look of it inside. Fits about one hundred people at tables nicely. Doesnt really have much in the way of parking so for events people have to park at the public library and walk over.
My daughter had her wedding and reception there. It was beautiful.
Friendly staff. Decent meeting rooms for team planning and off sites. I always over prepare with cables and power strips, but they already had everything we needed.
Great atmosphere with great people making this little community something you want to be a part of
Free coworking space ... Open and comfortable space and and best of all its free for daytime access. Thank you Church & State!! :-)
Great job at our sons wedding last night, thanks! The staff did a great job.
This was my first time there and I am going to consider doing more there in the future.
Awesome environment to get work done. Great membership perks. Membership not required to use the WiFi and enjoy the entrepreneurial environment. Nice quiet place to get things done.
A very collaborative and vibrant community of like minded individuals. Co-working at its finest.
Hosting our wedding here. Staff is professional, but friendly and accommodating, and the space is unbeatable for aesthetics.
Church and State has been such a great environment to focus and work. Great people there as well.
Church and State has provided both the infrastructure and ecosystem for any seed-stage company to develop and thrive. The entrepreneurial spirit is alive here and its buzzing.
Nice place on the inside. Fits about 70 people comfortably, you can fit more but starts to get cramped. Theres parking close by on the street, or the SLC library garage.
Ive been here three times now for various events. The space is beautiful and basically just an awesome place to hang out and do some work with other like-minded individuals around.
Love this place! There is something for just about eveyone here.
I wouldnt hold a gathering here as it was very cumbersome with people coming in and out and the building not being very organized. The place was still nice in some aspects and had a neat feel to it. Lots of possibilities, just no organization as it seemed a communal space with people constantly in and out.
These guys provide an awesome service at a quite affordable rate. I liked that they give free consultations and that they dont make their money off of commissions and fees; rather, they ask you to pay for a membership fee like Costco and you get unlimited access to their help.
Great venue for special occasion events. The staff made it simple.
Love this company, check it out if you need space or anything else for a small business.
The only thing better than this awesome building is the amazing staff.
Great meeting/event space. A hidden gem that I will definitely use in the future.
Rachel Wilson, unprofessional, lacks tactfulness & i had a horrible end result experience with her via email. Was completely unecessary & makes the company look bad due to her abrasive attitude. Hope she can make the necessary changes on her end to improve her image in regards to the company.
What a great co-working space. A little loud but very cool.
Very technologically capable and well maintained co-working space.
Stumbled across this place when it first opened and im so glad i did! great environment for coworking and way better to work in than a coffee shop. the events they throw are really cool too. theyve rennovated it in an industrial look / feel. really cool!
A fantastic environment to learn, meet new people and work!
Amazing space! Really good workshops!
Decent shared workspace suffering from being a popular homeless destination. The inside needs a good bit of work.
Amazing place with cool architecture and vibe. Great venue and jealous of the people that work here.
Nice building for larger meetings/meet ups and a good welcoming community.
Fast WiFi, friendly staff, and lots of great space to work on whatever youre into.
Awesome place for networking, you can meet great people.
Best startup incubation center in Salt Lake City!
Cool coworkers space. Came in from out of town to work the booth at a tech conference there!
Went here for a catered work event. Nice atmosphere.
The best coworking place in Salt Lake City. It has special atmosphere and style. Im totally recommend this place
Unique venue with a feel that can only be described as rustic meets hipster.
Interesting incubator. Good for start ups
Great for any event or meeting. unique
Combat Arts Strength & Conditioning is in the basement of Church & State and they just started classes for Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, Martial Arts, MMA and killer conditioning classes. John McKean is a black belt in BJJ and is the owner and head instructor ... Ive gotten faster running and stronger and even started Jiu Jistu myself since I started training with him privately and now at his gym. Good little spot and hidden gem downtown and central city area.
Great atmosphere to get a little work done.
Great incubator! Loved the vibe and layout
I love this building!
Cool facility to meet, learn and brainstorm with others. Parking was a bit rough.
Great place to get work done.
Great little get up for events.
