I was sold a vehicle with a check engine light on. I was asked to rely on them to correct the issue. I brought my vehicle into the lot 3 times to be worked on by their mechanic. My check engine light continually came back on within a day. I was directed to another mechanic by Jesus to be told my engine is going to need replaced. I was sold an SUV under fraudulent pretenses. They only ever corrected a quick fix. I am now stuck in a car I have had 3 months for a $350 monthly payment until 10/15/2024. If you plan on making any purchase here make sure the car is thoroughly inspected by a mechanic other than their own. I have reported there misconduct and hope no one else in a bad credit situation gets SOLD by these crooks. I was told you bought the car AS IS. Nothing we can do for you. I have had the car since April. The check engine light has always been on. Trust your gut. They only want your money. Pay attention when they say The only thing it needs is... They also sold my husband a vehicle. AC does not work. It needs the entire compressor replaced in a BMW. Very expensive repair for being told it only needs a can of connected to restore the AC. Assume the worst as they will definitely achieve exactly that. As soon as you are AS IS roped in, they won and could care less about any hardship they have caused you. I have reported them to the better business bureau and hope others start standing up in defense to their misconduct as well.

My husband and I thought we had found a good deal on a minivan here, the photos in the ad looked good and we called and spoke to Utah Public Auto Auction about the car and what we heard sounded good and that any major mechanical issues had been addressed. When we arrived to look the car over however, the interior was in poor shape (stained and torn up), which you couldnt tell from the online photos; and the air conditioning did not work and one of the exterior door handles didnt work (which matters when we are looking for a car to haul our kids around). We left without test driving it because we were concerned that if these fairly obvious issues hadnt been brought up to us initially, what else might be hidden? I am disappointed because the other Google reviews here looked positive. While the price would have been fair for the car with those flaws, and while we were not given any false information, the information we did receive was incomplete. It would have been helpful to know about those issues before we drove an hour each way to see the vehicle.Jesus (from Utah Public Auto Auction) did call us back the next day and offered to get the A/C fixed, but wed lost confidence by that point and decided to look elsewhere.

I bought a 2011 VW Routan a few days ago. They made sure it was in excellent condition, however, when putting the parts of the door back on, the technician missed something and the door didnt open properly (just a simple mistake). They took it back and fixed it no questions asked. They sale AS IS, however, they are great at making sure the vehicle is in working condition. They made it right. They also gave me a ride to work after dropping off the van. They are very honest, efficient and super good to work with. All the gals are great. Jamie the GM is great, she goes above and beyond. Wasn’t worth the time for the potential savings at a public auction. Would not go again. They do get a few nicer cars, trucks in.

I bought a car from them years ago. When I did the bidding I didnt realize the car had big dent in it and high miles. I told the person in charge I didnt want the car and they threatened to keep my deposit which I didnt sign anything for them to have the right to do that.. I was young but for a company to take advantage of people should not be in business. Stay clear or be really careful if you buy.

Jamie & Walter & Nelly were all so awesome to work with. They helped us get a great deal on a great car. We were there for a few hours while an item of concern on our future vehicle was fixed to our satisfaction. During this time the staff shared their take-out with my 2 year old son who was really hungry from being out all day car shopping. The people here were so much better than the dealership we went to the day before. All information was up front and I didnt get the scammer vibe that a typical used car salesman always rubs off.

Had a great experience. Bought a 4 wheel drive Jeep Cherokee for 700. Vehicle is in very condition, no mechanical problems and interior is very clean. Only issue is the sunroof molding is warn but thats a 40 dollar repair. Very happy with this place and absolutely recommend them to anyone who is looking for a vehicle on a budget.Edit: just received a gift card for Starbucks from these people thanking me for my business. Its a small gesture, but a nice one. So not only are you buying a good vehicle but youre buying it from good people

Bought a 2013 Nissan back in November 2018 or about 7 months ago and within the next week or so the brake light service light, service engine light and battery light came on. To top it off the A/C doesnt work but didnt know until the hot summer months came along. We had test driven the car and trusted when they said it was running great and absolutely nothing wrong with it. They were all so polite but we should not have put so much trust in their word. I wish we had never bought the car but it was the price that had us. In the end not worth it due to the money and time we have had to put in. I would not recommend them to friends and family.

Went in to find a car, found one, but they were trying to sell it at a maximum blue book price when it would still need maintenance. Also, they wouldnt even bother trying to ask if my offer would be accepted. My offer was very close to the blue book fair deal price, and I would have been willing to pay the blue book fair deal price, but they were stiff on the price going quite a bit over what the car is actually worth. Overall, overcharging and dishonest, sorry.

I heard about Utah Public Auto Auction for the first time from a neighbor, she said her and her husband had a great experience there and so she suggested I go there to buy my next car after my old one got wrecked in an accident. I decided to try it out. It was my first experience at an Auto Auction; the staff there was extremely friendly. I will have to say that I would give a ten star out of ten if I could!! They were very helpful. I was actually there all day test driving cars and I would have to emphasize that the best experience of the whole thing was the staff. I went to this auction today and the auctioneer, in his words went below the reserve price set by the seller and then Would not honor the price. Said he was trying to create excitement. They offered $3,000 and some guy bid on it and there was no other bids so it should have sold for the offered price to that guy. They would not honor it stating it was to far below the reserve, the auctioneer offered it below the reserve. My question is, WHY?? I had money to by two cars but decided it was to much of a scam. This is not a realistic auction in my opinion. I have been to many. The inside staff is very nice but the integrity of the auction process is lacking. I’d steer clear and find a car elsewhere unless it is one of their absolute sale cars which is what we thought the auction was as it is advertised that way on line. An “Absolute Auction”. Definitely felt like this guy was misled and defrauded of his opportunity to purchase at the price offered with a fair bid.

I didn’t get what I expected ..... I got more!!! I was in the market for a family car for my fiancé. I called to check on a 4Runner they had. I went to the auction during the week to inspect the car. The manager let me know what was being fixed on the car and was open about a dent they fixed as well. The car was well under the market value. I didn’t buy it. I saw an older 4Runner on the lot and asked about it. The manager was honest that she wasn’t aware of the condition because she hasn’t had a chance to inspect it closely. She offered to walk with me to check out the car. She even called a mechanic to ask if there were any issues. The price was much more within my budget and in the end it was the vehicle I purchased! Yes it’s not new and I need to replace a wheel bearing but that’s expected wear and tear. I was able to save on this vehicle so much I have been going back to buy another for myself! Do your homework and they said I can bring my mechanic to inspect it if I wanted. The prices aren’t magic but they are WELL BELLOW the blue book prices! I will do business with them again!

Wow the staff at this place is great! No SALES people following you around everywhere. You just ask for the keys to the car you want to check out and they let you go look it over yourself. I recommend bringing a mechanic to, they will let you bring your own to look over vehicles.

Do not I repeat do not buy from this auto auction. Do not give them your money, or your time. They are scam artist that tried to steal my car after I had purchased it.I brought it back for a check engine light that went off about 50 miles after I drove it away.They had reset it, these scam artist feel no guilt. Theyre Liars they well do anything they can fir a buck and to can to get one over on you. I am traumatized and was terrified when he actually hit me with my own vehicle.

By far the best auto experience for me. Nelly helped me with my horrible credit and was able to finance me even with a previous repo. There’s no pressure to buy the car, I spent hours at their lot test driving and inspecting them. I even called the inspection company and they came over the same day. I highly recommend them, they’re very nice and friendly and help you as much as possible to get you into the car you want.

We found a great car Wednesday evening, and the financing, and purchase were completed Thursday afternoon. We picked up our car, and were told that our plates would be ready in four days. The very next afternoon, I was called by Lynda, the office assistant, and she had already gotten our plates.There was a great selection of vehicles to chose from. I bought a 2006 Lexus RX400h from Utah Public Auto Auction in July 2019. I used their website to find my car. After I found it, I tried checking around the internet but could not find any other cars that could beat their offer.I was new to the idea of an auction vehicle but the staff helped answer my questions about an As Is car. They explained the risks and services offered to help inspect the car. They also have a warranty service for coverage after driving off the lot.Before releasing it to me, they had the car emissions tested, serviced, and licensed but noticed some sounds coming from the rear. They ordered parts and started repairs ASAP. Parts took forever to come in though and they keeped me informed on the progress with pictures of shipping information.I have the car now and it has been running great. I feel like they wanted to provide me with the best experience possible and have exceeded my expectations.Thanks Mary, Nelly, and everyone there that helped!

This is not a car auction. What it is, is a company that takes on hundreds of cars from people who dont care enough about their own cars to sell them. The auction company takes the cars and allows the seller to set the price. Which is like a reserve price from an auction.When the auction takes place the auctioneer blares loudly from the stand the price of the car as 5-10 people sit waiting for the other cars they would actually like to see. When someone is interested in a vehicle they only way to get it is to bid what they want you to bid. they will allow you to under bid the price by a little amount and are willing to call the owner of the vehicle if you price is within a certain range. otherwise youre wasting your time.Also beware the Green Light Warranty they cover very little, and only give you a few hours to figure out if the vehicle youve bought is complete trash or not.The people are pretty friendly but they are working for a flawed system.If you are going to purchase a car from them, make sure you come early, bring a mechanic. Do you due diligence and inspect the car as much as possible.

Let me start by saying that they are just amazing!!! Amazing service right when you walk in is like if your walking into a family members home!!
