It was a cute little bee hive supply store, but since the first time I went, it has never been open during the hours of operation. A sign on the door says if it is locked during normal hours to call a number on the sign. I call, my husband called another day and no one ever answers. Not a good system for clients.

Last year I bought my first bees from Peter. This place is amazing! Peter is always accomodating and more than willing to give advice and answer questions. I wouldnt recommend going anywhere else. This place is great!

Great prices, friendly and knowledgeable service.Even while dealing with an unexpected sewer repair, the owner left a contact number for customers to reach him and was willing to go out of his way to make sure my bees had the supplies they needed.On my first visit, the shop was clean and delightfully jumbled with new and interesting gear as well as custom pieces and curiosities.On my second trip, the stock of the back room had been moved forward to give room for the repair work, but the owner was still able to locate everything I needed without hesitation.He offers hive inspections for tricky issues and remembered my hives problem 5 months after the fact and seemed genuinely interested in how they were doing.

Amazing guy. I was going to shop in ogden cause thats where Im from, but this guy was genuine. I decided to buy what supplies I needed from him. Hes got my business.

Peter was very informative and creative. I didn’t realize all of the benefits that the propolis provides, especially when it is locally made. Reducing allergies daily?These are healthy adjuncts that have been nature’s secret medicine, that have been lost or forgotten. I do believe there are a lot of amazing alternatives to modern medicines in our own backyards. Preventative and therapeutic relief through healthy healing. Not to mention his honey and products are outstanding and sweet. Customer for life now!

Peter is a phenomenal resource for anyone interested in anything apiculture. I learned of him through a recommendation from my neighbor who has purchased standard and custom equipment from him. So far I have attended an awesome intro to beekeeping class (pre-pandemic), purchased my first package, as well as some mentoring hours. Hes kind, competent and always willing to help. I have been working with Peter since early Spring 2018 and he has been an amazing mentor! I bought a package of bees and supplies to start beekeeping this year. He has a lot of great knowledge and advice! He is very friendly and helpful and his classes have taught me a lot. Plus the honey and supplies he sells are great!

Going to the beginner bee class positively reinforced a lot of what I had already learned. Being able to speak with a successful beekeeper and ask questions was very helpful. Very knowledgeable on the subject and more than willing to help.I would recommend the class, shop, and products to anyone.

I have not been to the new location yet (been out of town for over a month... a fair excuse), but Peter is the reason you go to the Honey Stop. So wherever Peter is, you will surely find the freshest, tastiest, most local (even your own neighborhood sometimes) honey. Peter has a passion for beekeeping, and teaching others how to properly care for bees, and the side effect of all these hives all over SLC is the aforementioned best, tastiest, freshest, etc., etc. honey in the entire country. I mean - this is Utah - the Beehive State, and Peter has access to darn near every one of them! That makes for the widest variety of Super-Local honey Ive ever seen or heard of. Hi Yall,I judge reviews pretty harshly because I always make the assumption they are written up by friends / family / pay for sites.That being said, I /LOVE/ the Honey Stop.Some people are like, ya you know what? That place is okay. NO! Those people are wrong. This place is straight rockin! Alright so maybe Ive had a bit too much coffee, maybe Im just too geeky about awesome prices and raw honey.IS THAT WRONG!?Stop on by the Honey Stop. They have tons of flavours that youll enjoy and they have raw honey (which is what brought me here in the first place).
