Like everyone says narrow streets but doable. Open air docks easy docking plenty of room to turn around. When you enter the gate drive up on the rocks to the right, rough but will give you more room.
(ATTENTION TRUCK DRIVERS)When your first arriving you may get very nervous because it is in a residential area and the first turn is kind of tight but very manageable. The place is at the bottom of the street and its a nice size facility. Its plenty of room to dock.
Extremely tight roads to get to it. Have to go through a residential neighborhood with narrow streets. Once there, easy to back into docks. We were in and out within 30 minutes.
People are friendly and quick to unload. Only complaint is they took meat off the truck and staged it on the outside dock in July. 15 minutes later they checked the temp and almost refused my load because meat was 45 degrees. I had to explain to them that the pallets were sitting in the hot sun for 15 minutes before they temped it and they should have temped while it was in the truck.
Go through residential area with difficult turns around traffic and narrow roads. Sat for 2 hours waiting to get unloaded then the yard guy couldnt get us out fast enough, can we get our doers closed first? He kept making hurry up and leave gestures, just rude!
Very tight turns driving to location, it does help to slide tandems all the way forward, turn slow and watch your mirrors. Backing into the dock is easy, roomy, the staff, Jesus Perez, was very nice. It only took them 10 or so minutes to unload me. No parking anywhere near the location or on their property, in and out!
Never mind my last review. This is an excellent company...which is not what I originally posted. I purchased a 3 1/4lb. Corned beef brisket. After cooking I ended up with 3/4 lb. of meat. The brisket cost $15.72. Very frustrated, I got in touch with Freirich Foods. They are true to their guarantee. They saw to it that I had the $ to buy another corned beef...A Freirich that was perfect. Thank you, Paul, for your help.
The place itself got me unloaded in about 30 minutes. Getting to the place was a different story. Thru residential neighborhoods & tight, tight streets.
No business sending a tractor trailer down here.If you do find yourself delivering here do yourself a favor take Innes to Grove to Mocksville to Caldwell then to Kerr.Do the same in reverse coming out of here.And definitely have your tandems slid all the way to the front.Backing to dock was easy and enough to bust a U-turn and get out of facility.
Horrible place to get there a lot of tight turns. Easy to dock 30 min unload. Friendly customer.
My experience is a long one with your perfect corned beef,and my tale took an interesting detour. Im 82, you are even older--few are. Corned beef and cabbage was Yankee boiled dinner, and how I loved it in Connecticut growing up. Life has led me to living in Virginia the last 16 years. The Food Lion stocks some other kind of corned beef--eating it I decided Id lost my taste for it. Then, last year in New York State, where Ive lived more than elsewhere, I found Freirich, recalled its red package from my childhood. Oh, was that a happy reunion when I cooked some! Im about to ask Food Lion if theyll consider changing their brand; after all youve moved south, too. If I am unsuccessful--do you fill mail orders?
A receiving department is NOT good waiting for a hour .... Then came back with an attitude as if I did something wrong so not happy with service
