I had Rowan here to fix a leaking chimney. Joe seemed to be a nice guy. He replaced two chimney caps, but the chimney still leaking. I called to let him know, and he told me he was busy and would have to work with his brother in laws schedule. It has been six months, he want answer my calls or text, so I’m assuming he’s not going to do the wright thing. If you look at photo the cap over hangs an inch, all I wanted was for him to caulk the gap.

I would not recommend this company. Unprofessional, sloppy, and no attention to detail.

We recently bought a house and had him do chimney repair and install gas logs. As we’ve never had logs we really didn’t know anything about them. He installed expensive logs and then hooked them up to a gas line with no regulator, resulting in ruining the logs. I was able to contact him and he agreed to replace the logs. After that conversation I’ve not been able to get in contact with him. He won’t answer my phone messages or texts. It’s been over 2 months since that first conversation and it looks like we just lost our money, so I definitely do not recommend using this company!

I wish I could put 0 stars. I found this person through thumbtack. Not only did they reschedule me 4 separate times but now my chimney is still leaking. I tried to find them on thumbtack again, no longer there. Now not responding to my calls or texts. Had to have someone else come out and take pictures and apparently all that was done was a piece of metal glued on our flue...horrible experience.

Im shocked. They came out and quoted. Price was great guy was really nice so I said lets do it. Next day I get a text that the quote wasnt high enough and he had to add 300 dollars. I ended up agreeing. Three appointments were changed with minimal notice which I used vacation days to be there. When he finally did show up, he went up on a ladder came down and said I cant do it the roofs too steep. Why didnt the price and roof issue come up at quote? I was sent a link to review him from the lead company and I wrote exactly what is in here. The owner then started harassing me stating Im cheap( yes the guy who agreed to the added money and never asked for a lower price) and called me a loser. IN WRITING! Here is what he said. He won’t get this job done he’s a cheap skate and wants stuff done for near nothing. Not risking my workers life for this guys cap. We are a five star company and this guy is a looser!! All I did was agree to allow him to do the job why did I get into this nightmare?

In the fall of 2011 I had RCW install the chimney pipes for a wood stove being installed in my living room. I had actually called for a quote 2 yrs earlier and was quoted at $1600. When I called 2 yrs later the quote came in about $700 less, at first. Then I got a call back that is was going to be $1600 and I figured it was worth the extra to have an expert do this. I asked for all black pipes, interior and exterior and that is what seemed to be delivered at first. On the first day of installation, the installer and an assistant showed up and the owner/installer stated this was not his regular helper, but we should be fine. They preceded to enter the attic area of the house after confirming the exit point of the pipes from the living room. because this is an unfinished attic, there is about 15-18 of blown-in insulation that needs to be navigated through to find the joists to walk on; they decided to compact most of there path, by accident or intentionally and then used several of the 2x8s I had in the semi-finished area of the attic to make a walk way and platform for their ladder. This would have been fine if they put things back as they found them, but they DID NOT. With his substitute helper, things did not progress as expected, for multiple reasons, including the fact they they had not ordered enough pipe; and a second visit was scheduled and rescheduled; not a big deal. On the final day of installation, it was hot in the attic and things may have been rushed for that reason, but be a professional about it. in cutting the hole in my 4 yr old ceiling, the hole area had various stains from grime on the installers hands and as one of the finishing steps he painted the area with a stain blocker paint, but no finish ceiling paint. I asked about the mismatch and was assured it would match; 3 days later and the match NEVER happened; I had to repaint it to match, but here is more about that. As they were moving back and forth through the attic, one of the installers dropped a large tool, a drill I am guessing, which made a large cracked area in the ceiling. When shown the crack that was clearly bulging downward as if from a dropped tool, the installer played dumb and asked, was that there already?; NO IT WAS NOT! And in all of this, the pipe is far from straight. So to sum up: 1) the cap on the pipe seems to have been spray-painted black, which has all peeled off in the first year of use 2) the scratches on the exterior pipes from handling can be seen from 30 ft away. 3) I had to put the attic area back to the way it was before they arrived, including adding more insulation 4) I had to have the cracks in the ceiling fixed myself and a large amount of the ceiling repainted, the pipes on the stove where screwed in crooked, so I guess I am living with that 5) he actually charged me an additional $125 for one more section of pipe even after being confronted about the cracked ceiling. Why did I pay and the extra. To get this unprofessional person out of my house before more damage occurred and to write this review guilt free!
