After years of complicated tax returns being handled by an EA, and now with a simple return, I appreciated my professional’s expertise in handling the changes, and helping me figure out my new return.

FIRST I strongly suggest that you read the small print when it comes to the advertising of $48 to getting your taxes done! Because you could be blindsided like me & be subjected to a tax charge of $550!😳 Which I didnt pay & I did not end up having my taxes done either... but let me back up a bit & talk more about the unprofessionalisim that I received.Upon arriving as the first appointment of the day @ 11:15 am I was greated by Kamal Sharma who seemed flustered and unorganized had just arrived. Upon getting settled into the appointment Kamal Sharma realized he didnt have his cellphone w/him (which is something he needs to receive codes) & asked if he could reschedule my appointment to 12pm (he needed to run back home to Marina from Salinas), promised he would be back fast for it wasnt far. I hesitated but agreed. I walked the Wal-Mart store, walked outside, managed some business calls, texts & emails for I had planned my morning off for the appointment but not the afternoon. Time continues to pass beyond 12pm & now Im wondering is Kamal Sharma going to return? I head back to my car to get water & figure out a way to call Kamals office. Upon doing so the number put me directly in contact w/Kamal who apparently just got back to the Wal-Mart @12:45pm. He said, we could still do my appointment & that it would take 30min. Well it took an hour & during this time his next appointment showed up & he asked her to come back @ 1:30pm due to a delay.Upon finalizing of my taxes I stared to notice that Kamal Sharma was putting in coupon codes for $40 off, which I thought was odd 🤔 considering this was suppose to only cost me $48. Then I noticed the split screen & saw the starting price of $550!! I asked if that was the price & Kamal Sharma advised me that yes, that is the price & that he was putting in the discount. I about lost it wondering what happened to the advertised price of $48 that I signed up for two days ago? He said, that promo is over & that the computer program does the charging HE doesnt calculate the fees. I asked, what fees? He said, the $48 is only for ONE W2 form & federal ONLY, you had 3 W2s & other things like unemployment & EITC, but look youre getting a nice return so you can afford to pay. I never in my life have been so vocally expressive 🤬 in public behind a privacy 😳curtain at the front of the store where customers are checking out or to where the next tax customer could hear me yelling about how outrageous this is considering ALL that had taken place today. He said, well we have everything scanned so if you want to come back we can file it then because I have another client waiting. 😡 Come back are 🤬kidding Ive been here since 11:15 & is 2pm!! Hell no I need your business card with your name & I will be calling your manager to file a complaint! Threw open the privacy curtain informed the next customer that she did NOT want her taxes done by this company or Kamal Sharma for it was a 🤬scam!😡I did call management the next day. They did inform me that there are fees for EACH W2 & additional items you made need to file such as unemployment, SSA, EITC, etc & wished the company would make that more clear. However, when all was said & done she could only offer me $150 discount off the $550, which in all honesty is still nothing when you know as a hard working single mom this was just another company praying on fears & wanting us to pay 🤑into that $$$. I however, am not the one. So I share this expierience to help others NOT to become a victim to this company. For there is in NO WAY possible living & surviving in CA (especially Monterey county) that you are ONLY going to have one W2 & apply for federal taxes.As far as this supervisor handling the unprofessionalisim of Kamal Sharma, one will never know if she follows through or makes that call.

The tax prepare was very helpful and took the time to make sure we understood everything she was doing. She answered all our questions and made us feel comfortable doing our taxes with her. We will be coming back and recommending our friends to go and file with Jackson Hewitt 😊

I had appointment with them and waited over 30 minutes i thought Maybe the person was using the restroom or on break nobody showed up then i called the main office and the lady was so rude!!!!

My TP was amazing and the kiosk was convienant and clean! I had a good experience
