I had been using Alvarez for years since I moved to my first home. This was because the home we bought had a main sewer line that was in desperate need of repair. Eventually, I was able to excavate the sewer line and I had Alvarez install the new piping for it. Unfortunately, they used a coupling that used steel bands to connect two sections of the pipe. This would not have been an issue, but they torqued it so much that the coupling actually snapped the pipe - which was pointed out when the city inspector came by.Alvarez came out and replaced it, but I incurred a re-inspection fee from the city. I called Alvarez and asked if they could reimburse me for the fee, at least in part, since the main reason I failed was because they did not install the coupling correctly. Eventually I received a call from their manager Gloriana, and I have to say she was the most disrespectful general manager of any company I have ever had the displeasure of speaking to. The entire time, her tone was aggressive, condescending, and blatantly rude. Imagine being treated like that by a company you had spent hundreds of dollars with. That is why I am giving this company a 1-star rating. It is not because they did not reimburse the fee which I knew was a long shot to begin with - it is because of the lack of respect from this so called manager to a paying customer.Before you hire them, make sure to ask yourself that if their manager treated someone like that who had spent hundreds of dollars with them- how might she treat you?

Used them twice now. The first time guy came out to change hot and cold under kitchen sink and outside bibs, everything went great, very quick, and polite. Second time, same guy changed the valve for dishwasher. He had to cut ou some of the new cabinet, but not enough to not have it leak. However, one call and they sent someone out to fix it at no charge. Would highly recommend.

Great service fixed everything that was wrong great to have both bathroom working

My crew broke main water supply to 7-11 while removing sidewalk and Alvarez plumbing was there in less than 2 hours and made repairs to quickly get water restored.. GREAT JOB ALVARO!!

Spoke.with Jorge. Made an appointment for 10am Sunday. I accepted his weekend rate of $150.an hour. HE WAS A NO-SHOW!! JORGE didnt even call to say he wasnt coming.He was referred by my Realtor. That will be the last time he is referred.

I would not recommend this company!!! Alvarez Plumbing did not honor my time, they tried to blame me for their mistake, and they were not honest about reducing a fee because of their mistake. I scheduled an appointment to have my water heater serviced and my drains unclogged. The first visit they arrived 1 1/2 hours after the service center said they were on their way. They did fix my drains but did not service my water heater because they did not have the parts needed. This was their wrong doing. The service center said since they had to come out the next day to finish their first job, I would only be charged the half hour rate and not the full hour rate. This was not the case. The second visit they were once again over an hour and a half late after the service center called and said they were on their way. When I received the bill for the second visit, I was charged the full hour rate, not the half hour rate like they said. The service center also said that it was my fault that the water heater wasnt serviced because I did not tell them I had a tank-less heater. That is not my job. If you are a professional company your job is to ask the customer what type of water heater they have. How is the costumer supposed to know this? They failed to ask the right question, did not honor the time given, nor did they honor the reduced rate that was told because of their mistake. I am very disappointed in this company and will not call them again.

Alvarez plumbing was subcontracted by our property manager to snake our drain that runs from the kitchen to the garage. They fixed the drain, but when they plugged in their electric snake, they unplugged our deep freezer. We lost $1000+ worth of frozen meat and seafood, as well as the freezer because the stench will not come out.Alvarez has been avoiding my calls for a month and refusing to take responsibility for their mistake.Dominic the owner has since returned my call but is refusing to accept responsibility.Shady business. AVOID!!

The plumber came told us he couldnt get us a new water heater on the weekend we explained he was suppose to be checking the elements. He went to turn on the hot water and turned to the right...../he did not know which way to turn on hot water. he proceeded to flood our house mud room kitchen hallway. Ruined a wool runner in hallway and created a mess. We sent him away and did bot pay him for the mess he created. I dont think he was a plumber. He wanted $210.00 an hour. Bewere

I had a clogged/slow draining kitchen sink and within 15-20 minutes of me calling this company, an Alvarez employee showed up and had the issue resolved. Seriously couldnt have asked for better service.
