I had perms before that either went flat within a few days or would be curly with some straight pieces... i had a wonderful experience here... they asked me about my hair, what type of curl i wanted, etc. It turned out beautiful!!

I’m just plain devastated from what my hair now looks like. I had hair to the middle of my back. It is extremely thin and it was falling out due to to the length. I went in I told the girl I wanted it shoulder length. She said how about a bob with longer sides. I was like yeah. I’ve had that cut before. That’s not what I got. My hair is completely gone it’s not a bob. When does a bob require using a trimmer? It doesn’t. Been crying all day.

Such a great place to go for a change, a regular cut and style and some great ladies to laugh with a talk to. They are appointments only now, no walk-ins so make sure you call to make an appointment with a stylist!

My experience at the Good Look was as follows. I had been a client of Ericas for about 3 years. Things started off good, but declined the longer I went. She seemed less interested in what I wanted, and more interested in just getting me in and out. I was experiencing more of the unwanted warm tones in my hair. Although I feel intimidated to say what I think, (as I believe some stylists consider that an insult), I did start speaking up the last 2 visits. My text to her, as I was about to go in for a much needed,( but neglected during my service) toner, I texted this: Ill see you at 12:15. In case there isnt time to discuss, there are some issues with my hair. The roots are still visible, Ive got a kind of ombre pattern going on if you look from root to tip, going from dark root to warm blonde, to darker copper brown. I have to be honest, and say that I am not ok with this. Id like blonde highlights to continue to ends, and have to get rid of this copper..long list, I know. Just cant afford to pay so much, then be unhappy. I know this is achievable, because you have nailed beautiful highlights many times for me..............Her response follows, verbatim: Honestly, Valerie, you have an issue every time I do your hair, and Im sorry you do. I will have your money in an envelope at the front desk for you to pick up today. You can find someone else to fix it. I dont charge you enough to be stressed out every time I do your hair. I have a full clientele, and I dont have time to fix your hair every time I do it, especially around the holidays. My response: I thought you might say that. And thats ok. But everyone deserves a professional result, and a right to say what they want. Ill pick up the money. Blessings to you and your family......................I did go later and get my money, which another girl quickly handed to me without a word.. I later contacted the salon owner, Diane, who said she was there when the text was sent, and fully agreed with it.. She also said that I would NEVER get my hair done for 65 dollars anywhere else..(The price they charge)..So I feel that as long as I was ok with the mediocre job, I could continue to go there, but as soon as I spoke up with any complaint, I was free to go elsewhere, they had plenty of other clients. The hostile attitude I got was completely uncalled for.The following is a list of local salons that do foil highlights for 65 dollars, and less.Rons Styling Center (Voted best of the best many years running)Natural solutionsState Street SalonGypsy Roots (Kind, excellent stylist)Cost Cutters**Beware of the hateful attitudes that lurk just below the surface at the Good Look. I will post pics ASAP., so you can judge for yourself.
