My husband went there to have shoes repaired and it was a great experience. The guy that repairs is very knowledgeable and skilled. It was a great experience. Would go there for any repairs. Planning to get my purse repaired also.

Great place for leather projects and always helpful every time I go in the store.

I brought in several pairs of womens boots and hiking boots to have the soles reattached. Two were beyond saving and I appreciated their honesty in turning those down. On the other two pairs, the work didnt take long, the price was a really good value and much less than I expected, and both pairs of boots have held up wonderfully in the several months since the service was done. One pair was even dirty with dried mud and they returned them to me sparkling clean. Ill definitely be coming back as needed to extend the use of my boots through their repair service.

Twice now, I have taken my motorcycle jacket to S&T for repairs. The first repair was a zipper that lost its pull tab and the stitching was coming loose from the reflective piping. The second time I took the jacket in for repair, the stitching was coming out under both armpits. The job was done very quickly (under an hour on the the first repair), and I can hardly tell it was ever damaged. Great work!

MAN.... Talk about amazing customer service! Went in to get a scrap of leather for a sheath I wanted to make for a knife I made,(I had no clue what I was doing). Steve spent a ton of time explaining all of each individual item they had in stock he would recommend me using on my sheath. Not pushy at all, just VERY informative. Left ther feeling like I was going to be a pro at this. Couldnt recommend them enough!!!

Stitching tore on my Wildland boots that I use everyday for work and I brought them in to get fixed. I expected to be without boots for a couple of days but they sewed it back up within 5 minutes of me walking in. I will be coming back here for any issues I have with my boots down the line, and I will be referring friends and coworkers here for any boot repair needs. Exceptional work!

I am thoroughly impressed with the service, speed and excellent leather jacket repair provided here. I thought my jacket was a goner but they repaired it in less time than I could ever imagine and you cannot even tell the zipper was replaced. AWESOME!!!!!

My mom ruined a pair of her suede booties by throwing them in the washing machine, for god knows how long 🤦🏻‍♀️. So, I googled and found these guys and took them in to be repaired. Although it took almost 2 months to be repaired...they’re better than when she first bought them. They took their time to fix them so that they wouldn’t be as costly to me, which is appreciated greatly. Honestly though, if I knew what great work I was getting I wouldn’t have cared how much they costed...because in the end Mom was happy that she got her favorite pair of booties back, but a hybrid 2.0 version. Wow best find for leather goods or repairs

My vintage leather purse that I have used exclusively for the last 38 years has a braided strap and one of the strands gave way from decades of use. It obviously would never look the same after repair and I knew that. What I didn’t expect was a shoddy repair job that represented absolutely no pride of workmanship. Whoever tried to repair it didn’t even braid the two inches of the strap back to make it look right, it was just slopped together with half-hearted haste. (I actually cried) I was told they would “make it right.” Not interested.1/11/2019We both agreed that there would be a patch which would leave it altered from its original look. There was no mention of it being in a near non-repairable state. If this was the case then why was it accepted for repair?My purse was well cared for and oiled regularly, maybe too much, I am not sure. This did not happen “months ago” it was picked up on the 15th of December 2018, I left a review several weeks later giving the matter considerable thought. Too bad for the lapse in the owners memory on several points.To claim that the condition of the purse was at fault for the poor repair job is absurd. (photo of purse with repair removed)

They carry great FULL leather belts at affordable prices. I am also having my Harley Davidson leather saddle bags repaired, again, affordable price. Wish I would have checked this place out years ago! They are really worth a visit for anything leather.

I met Steve a few years ago outside of his work and started taking my riding boots to him to repair as I damaged them. He does wonderful work and he is super helpful to determine if a shoe is repairable.I was excited to learn that he and a business partner took over the shop when the old owner retired. I am so glad the shop is staying open as finding a shoe repair shop that will work on riding boots and other tack items at a reasonable price is very hard to find.

They really know their stuff! Genuine Cobblers work here. And they wont charge you if they cant fix it! Dont forget to drop some change in their beer money tip jar and see them smile...

I’ve had soles replaced on my boots and work done on two leather belts. The sole replacement was mediocre at best, and work on one of the belts was laughably bad. The help was friendly and polite but that’s really the most I can say for this business.

I tried to water proof some shoes. Turns out the stuff I used damaged the shoes. I took them to this shop. They were able to clean the shoes and even waterproof them for me. The guy were so nice and friendly. I will be going back to this shop again soon.

Had a really thick leather jacket that needed a new zipper. Zipper looks brand new. I cant tell the new stitching from the old stitching (if anything the new stitching looks even sturdier.Excellent place to get your leather products repaired and to pick up those important leather cleaning supplies. I was able to get professional consultation wherther my boots are able to be repaired and how to take care of the material. They do carry lots of cleaning/conditioning supplies. They drilled another hole in weightlifting belt for me, and also changed insoles are repaired straps on my dance shoes. Reasonable prices and knowledgeable staff

This is a busy little shop! And the guy who worked there knew what he was doing!!! Very impressed!! I wish I could have bought several of the leather purses!!!! He stretched grandmas new shoes because her neuropathy makes breaking new shoes in painful. He used the heat stretcher while we waited in the store. It helped!!

Brought shoes and boots in here many times to be repaired and resoled. Each time they do a great job. This last time was a pair of sandals, yes sandals. The strap between the toes was just by a string and they repaired them beautifully. The owner is a kick to talk to if they are not too busy. Great location to pick up leathercraft supplies from tools and leather hide, to kits and pre-made metal accessories.

Ive bought my leather working tools snd supplies from the for a number of years, and recently discoveted that the owner retired and sold the business to a former employee snd their current employee, both of whom have a couple of decades in the leatherworking business, and are working hard on building up an inventory of supplies and leather goods. The new owners are experts on all phases of leatherwork & repairs and leather care, and they are friendly and eager to help. Very glad that theyre still in business! :)

They are excellent and knowledgeable.

First time shoe repair and very disappointed. It took them 5 days to glue and reseal the cork and straps on my birkenstalks. Glue matter is spattered all over my leather straps and the glue did not hold well at all. Cork was not resales properly abd is still chipping away on one heal. Repair was cheap at $15. Definitely not worth the bother.

Never ever, ever, EVER will I go to Sanders Shoes Repair in Salem, Oregon again. I brought in three pairs of shoes; a pair of black boots to be re-healed and cleaned and two pair of heals to be re-healed. When I went to pick them up today, one week after the date they were scheduled to be finished, the boots and one pair of heals hadnt been touched and the other pair had been re-healed but the leather was frayed around it. The woman who helped me, who I later found out is the owner, made no apology and refused to refund me without strong insistence. After 20 minutes of arguing that not only do they need to refund me all of my money (I paid at the time I dropped them off) but that they ruined a pair of my shoes. I received a partial refund as they still charged me for the frayed shoes. How they are still in business baffles me. WORST SERVICE AND WORK (What they did) EVER!!!!

Im sorry to say that I will not go back. I should have listened to previous Web reviews. I took my Danner work boots back to them 3 times in a two week period to get the tread reglued. Finally had to go to Eds Boot Repair in Keizer to get them fixed right....my boots havent fallen apart after 18 months of steady use. Im not trying to be mean, I just have lost trust after two bad experiences. When a business keeps giving reasons why the cobbler cant fix and wont be in to work, I will go somewhere else where my time will be respected.

I sent my husband down to have a strap of leather repaired for holding his bullets, she said she was to busy, he said he didnt care how long it took, she said she was a professional and would not fix it, she was to busy. he was in awe that she was to good to help him and kept saying she was a professional! Really red! I will spread this news every where I can, I hope you end up eating your words Red!
