At first they appeared helpful but after a few weeks of my case manager not even giving me a notice or whatever I got kicked out they told me they where gonna hold my stuff till I can get I arrive and they threw away all my documents from another country and I have no cloths nothing so yea great job to these liars and Ive heard so many other cases that are just bs and stuff from other people not mention medicine went missing from other people
As I am sure most people who go to a shelter do not own a vehicle I do it was absolutely no parking and they were not helpful at all to help me find a spot to park. As I was driving with a tornado warning my front passenger window fell out so there was no way that I could secure my vehicle and my belongings so I was unable to stay even if I was able to find a parking spot. I felt misled not by the shelter but by the woman who helped me get into the shelter she had told me that they work with the police and could possibly give them my plate number so I would not get a ticket and or towed this was clearly not the case as I was told I was on my own.
Great place that helped me get a place.
This place is a blessing and for the people who need it a great opportunity for getting your life together.
My brother lived there
This is a clean, great alternative for homeless in the area. They have a 90 day program to help get you back into the mainstream life, and provide 3 meals a day for everyone. The staff is very helpful and genuinely care about each individual.
God bless these people for what they are doing
This place saved my life. Im not kidding. I was a basket case when my family lost our old house; the Lifebridge staff was critical in helping me get back on track. If it werent for them I might not have found my current apartment or been able to connect with the mental health support systems that enable me to function in the face of anxiety and depression along with my lifelong issues with ASD.I only wish there were more facilities like Lifebridge to address the ongoing problem of homelessness in the Cape Ann area. There are plenty of people out there who need help and cant get it for one reason or another.
An oasis of hope and security for those unfortunate enough to end up homeless. The place is large enough to feel free in and the food and staff are exemplary. There are many programs available as well as outside programs. Just this past Sunday a group of world class musicians and classically trained singers performed new music for all the clients. Being in downtown Salem residents can take the trolley tour or visit the Peabody museum free of charge. All residents can stay up to 3 months or more, plenty of time to get their life back in order
The casemanagers dont care about the clients. They are supposed to be there to help people. During my time there. I witnessed them throwing people out in the cold knowing that they had no where to go. I witnessed the staff telling people that there were no available bed even though there was. Then there is the kitchen manager. During my time there she was witnessed taking bread out of the dumpster and bringing it inside to make sandwiched for the clients. The casemanagers think that just because the client(s) need a place to stay they can dictate their lives. They require clients to take 2 groups a week like they are children that cant decide what they want to do and not do.
Been here years ago and they helped me get my life in order so they deserve my 4 ★s! Thanks for helping me get my life in order, but it was because I wanted to get it in order and you opened the door for me. Many thanks to the staff and some of the friends I made there! Miss you all and thanks for being there for me!
This a sober living shelter. The staff is 4 stars.
I stayed at night while homeless.. rules are too strick, I couldnt be out past 9pm when it was my birthday.. so I couldnt hang out with friends... rooms too small... I felt paranoid.. the streets are better.
Me and my fiancé went in expecting help to be met with hostile staff. A few days later we ended up with beds to find out that the staff are greedy, selfish and always abrasive. They miscount peoples medicines intentionally so the staff can skim a few. They steal donations from the homeless and sell the good ones that come in bulk. An entire donation of jackets and bags was sold at their over priced thrift store. Daily when food donations come in the staff raid it for what they want and take it home. The worst ones are the case managers who are supposed to be helping you. They are lazy and incompetent. They never notified me or my fiancé we would be living with sex offenders. A week later someone we found out we were living with a 3 strike child molester. How in the world no one in Salem cares about this stuff is amazing. This place is corrupted to its core.
Great place when y have no food or just need help.with life.the staff are awesome especially.stephany I give this place a lot of love they helped me when I needed it most thank you
Always willing to help ppl
Great team. Good place for them who need help.
Volunteered at the thrift shop! They appreciate volunteers and it felt great to help!~middle schooler
Very nice. One of the better homeless shelters in the country.
I give this campus a five star. they have a good team
Great shelter free meals every day
Corrupt, exploitive, mismanaged, unfair, dehumanizing, senseless. You get a roof over your head and a dirty, bacteria-laden shower. Its better than being out on the street but dont expect much. If the staff dont aggravate you to the point of making you want to leave, your fellow residents will. Bunch of useless people milling around pretending that theyre doing something socially just at the expense of your dignity. Like everything else, its about money. The people that work there just want a job. Staff are undereducated. They hang around eating all the time treating the residents like dirt.
Great place to find whatever youre looking for
Its kol and icy and they dont share wealth or opportunities
I always find something even things Im not looking for its always a surprise and a treasure to me
The staff is rude and condescending to the people who they alledgedly serve..THE REASON THEY HAVE JOBS!!!!..POLICE AND STAFF FRATRANIZE OPENLY WHILE CONSUMING FREE MEALS MADE FOR THE HOMELESS
Best place for free food and help
I agree with James. Cold, uncaring, undereducated staff. Nepotism run rampid between direct care staff and director of case manager director. Like being in Jr. High of homelessness. Bedbugs out of control.Cold, and uncaring management. This place should be investigated for fraud and mismanagement of donations and funds.
Very caring helpful place
I dont like that you have to leave the building all day and be back by 8 p.m. for curfew when on the weekends you should be able to sleep in
Always helping us.
Nice staff. Clean
The staff are horrible human pieces of garbage
Hated it. Treated poorly.
This place is a bedbug ridden, stinking hole, run by mostly hate-intoxicated shrews who should not be in the social service business. Want to experience an emotional rape? This is the place to go.
The staff are cold and rude the residents are treated like animals when there is overflow you have to sleep sitting in a chair.
They are helpful
Sad State of Affairs going on There!!!!!
Fed the homeless .
Friendly people
Yes it is a good shelter!!!!!
Good staff they really do care about the people they serve.
It is the best place where you can be seen and visited. You can bring donations for those in need. Come and discover how beautiful it is to serve those who need it.
