Nostalgia old and new. Latest being a slug of molten metal from the Detroit forest fire. Lots of baseball and pictures on the walls. Just the owner doing barber work since times are slow, his associate on a sabbatical.

Denny was great today. Open 7am till noon. My other barber was forced to retire and closed his shop just weeks before covid 19 struck.

This a Salem institution. Mike and Denny have been cutting hair here for years and 5 days a week they are at work about 7am and might still be there by noon if your lucky! No appointments, just show up. You might see the mayor here or a judge or friend you havent seen in years. This is the real deal in terms of a barber shop. Nothing fancy, they cut your hair and might share how the ball game went last night.

The very best place I have found in Salem for a haircut.Keep in mind they close around 2:30, though theyve stayed later and cut my hair when I wasnt aware of their hours.Cool, old school, like really original old school. Not trying to be anything. Just a real barbershop that has been in the same location for decades.
