El Monte RV went above and beyond. The team was incredibly helpful and kind, the RV was clean and well managed, pick up and returns were easy. When I had a mishap with my RV (my fault), they were gratuitous and were in no way trying to get every last dollar out of me. They really seem like a family over there and made my whole RV experience that much better renting from them.

There were so many negative reviews, we were a bit hesitant to move forward with renting from them. I have to say, our experience was NOTHING like any of the negative reviews on here. Easy booking online, AAA discount etc., completely hassle free as far as that goes. The gentleman that checked us in could not have been more pleasant or professional. We were upgraded to a 2020 31 unit, which was exciting, we had a large campsite so we knew it wasnt going to be a problem. Everything was explained very clearly and the pre-inspection was thorough. Return was completely hassle free and the same friendly, professional gentleman checked us out as well. The place is VERY cool with tons of supercool antiques and classic cars + eclectic decor in the office. I would definitely rent from them again, if we dont get our own before the next trip. Very positive and pleasant experience.The ONLY complaint and its not a complaint against this particular facility, at all is that for a 2020 with relatively low miles, the RV was pretty beat up. These are rentals and definitely used so wear and tear is expected, no one should expect a pristine unit when renting. This is more a reflection of previous renters and their lack of care when using the unit, the disregard is really kind of shameful. We took care of it like it was our own and more people should so that more people can enjoy the RV experience.To reiterate, the service at the El Monte RV Rentals of Sacramento was top notch. I would recommend them without hesitation.

Rented an RV early October of this year and they were great! Upfront transparent pricing and nothing went wrong with the RV. They were extremely helpful and patient in showing me how to use the RV (this was my first time). I would definitely rent again!

Everything was fine except the fact that when you go inside to pick up RV there was a rude old lady there . She acted like she was doing us a favor by letting us rent. She was super rude and snotty to me. I loved the RV but the service was horrible. I won’t return there again I would rather take my money to a nicer business .

RVs are older than expected. Its hard to believe the 2019 model year our newer statement. Maybe we just got unlucky.

First time renting and driving a RV, easy online booking experience, AAA discount and no hassle on the return. In fact the returning agent fixed a loose side mirror at no charge, would rent from El Monte again.

The vehicle should have come with a roll of duct tape - fortunately we had some.The only positive thing we can say about the RV rented from El Monte RV is that the engine worked fine and we had no mechanical problems on our 2,000 plus journey from Sacramento to Colorado and back.The vehicle was filthy inside when we rented it and our trip was delayed for four hours as we cleaned to make it habitable. We were surprised that the vehicle was so worn – lots of frayed upholstery and cabinets badly worn.After driving for a short while, we realized that cabinet drawers and doors were flying open and we were not able to secure them as the mechanisms were broken - duct tape being the only solution to create a safe environment. And a later that day, a noise alerted us to a broken hatch above the driver passenger compartment. We were unable to secure as it was broken – duct tape being the only solution. On day one - lots of rattling noises while driving – culminating in the collapse of the shelf in the master bedroom and the shelf in the passenger side near the kitchen sink.The standards for RV rental did not meet our expectations. But we are appreciative that the vehicle got us to our destination and back and the mechanical aspects went well. For a rental fee of over $4,000 we expected better accommodations and standards of cleanliness.

The atmosphere is beyond cool always fun just looking at all the cool antiques and art on the walls and all the classic cars are amazing never gets boring and the people here are just wonderful.Ifeel honered to work here.

My experience was not good ! Before we got out of the lot the ladder was unsecured and hit my wife hard in the shoulder . The TV did not work ( they didn’t care ) . When we used the stove it filled the motor home with thick smoke which made it difficult to breath. ( they didn’t care ). When we returned the motor home full of gas the needle didn’t go all the way to full mark immediately, the manager said he would charge us for 17 gallons at 6$ per gallon. I felt this was a big hustle and waited until the gas gauge went up to full. They never told me this could happen they just wanted to charge me an extra 96 dollars in fuel. They knew this was a sham and got caught. I could never recommend this to even my worst enemy .

I dont know what the negative reviews are talking about... I have always had EXCELLENT service from the folks at El Monte, Sacramento. They have gone above and beyond to help me for our annual trip to Burning Man, several years in a row now. Treat them with respect and they return it to you... I will always try to rent from them if possible. Sounds to me like the negative reviews are coming from entitled, spoiled little children. Return the RV in as good as condition as when you rented it, and you shouldnt have a problem.

Was TERRIBLE!!! The one sales guy in the front was quick to argue, seemed like he was tweakin on drugs... The table was broke, vibration while going down the road having to yell just to talk!! And the worst part was the steering had play in it making it VERY UNSAFE TO DRIVE, and when we told them that wouldnt lower the cost at all and said we shouldve called roadside assistance.... I will never go there again unless its to ring the tweakers neck, only good thing there is the guy in the back Darnel, he was very courteous.....

Worst customer service ever. Tried to discuss a concern with a reservation and they were VERY rude and unaccommodating even though they were charging $8K for the rental. Wow. I will take my business elsewhere.
