Previously I was a patient at a different Wellspace with a different Dr. that I felt wasnt ideal. But since I have been a patient at the J Street office I have felt well cared for the front staff has always been friendly and patient, my Dr. Is excellent and I am very thankful for their service.

As a pretty new patient I am definitely not happy! Communication is non existent. Appointments being change and when brought up to the provider I found out they were there. It sounds like the staff is making changes without the provider knowing, which means I waited another month for nothing. Provider is on a time restraint due to company policy to see as many patient’s so their time in the exam room is felt with tension and anxiety to get to the next case waiting. Which means, any of my medical concerns have to be addressed one by one which equates to several visits for several months by time any of my issues could be worse, which puts my life at risk. Government health care shouldn’t mean half A... care. That mentality needs to change. You don’t know someone’s circumstances that leads them to have a Medi-Cal type insurance coverage, and if this continues the underserved will suffer even more than they have done for decades. Maybe if more malpractice suites are filed, the needs of our lower income folks will be served with more dignity and respect period!!

Very hard to get an appointment, rude and unprofessional. They don’t listen to what you’re saying and can’t wait to get rid of you. Will NOT RECOMMEND TO ANYONE.

I’m beyond angry because I was trying to make an appointment and after waiting forever on the phone line instead of picking it up someone hangs up on me. This place is beyond horrible and I’ve had several experiences like this. It doesn’t seem to matter which location you go to, they’re all the same and everyone is so rude. I shouldn’t have to go down to the office physically every time I need to make an appointment. This is beyond ridiculous.

I had a horrific experience with the old Dr. Bovanich(spelling?) He told me my condition which have had all my life wasnt real. Unfortunately at that time I only had med-cal since wasnt able to work. Finally after several years they finally brought in Dr. Samuelson! She is the best Dr I have ever had since moving to Sacramento. She takes the time to listen and a really follow up with you on your health issue. She also know more about my condition than the nuerologist in my area. The front desk especially Christina and Martina who are always helpful when signing in. Unfortunately I give the referral department an F! I now have Medicare and can go anywhere to see a Doctor. Now that I see Dr. Samuelson I will stay as long as she is there. However, when the day comes and she leaves, I will do the same!

I was told I had to register as a new patient with their Womens Health branch in order to get my birth control prescription renewed. I guess womens health is substantively different from regular health handled here. Cool. The earliest appointment for that is several weeks out. I know I can always go to Planned Parenthood to fill the gap in care, but there is definitely something really special about being told my PCP wont prescribe me birth control in 2018.

Expect to wait on phone for 60+ min.

I made an appointment on 7/10 to be seen by my newly appointed pcp. I have a chronic illness that has gone untreated for the past two years because my insurance deductible was too expensive to actually visit a doctor and receive treatment. Now that I am on medi-cal I was referred to this office. Not only did I wait over two hours to see my doctor (with an appointment!), I received no follow up on whether my referral finally went through. After two weeks, I call back the Drs office and they say referral is still pending and it can take a little while to go through. I wait two more weeks and still nothing, meanwhile I am having stools that are mostly blood and mucus and my disease is progressing. I call again (its been a month since the initial appointment at this time) and am told I need to call my insurance if I want to speed up the process. I call my insurance and they say no referral has been submitted at any time during the last 60 days. I am beyond frustrated and I am getting sicker and sicker. If I knew how to report this office for malpractice or neglectful care I would. It should not be this hard for me to get the care I desperately need.

Doctor Samuelson is a GREAT Doctor and makes me feel l comfortable . Pays attention to detail in every aspect of care. Staff and nurses very professional and courteous. Office and waiting rooms always clean.

I have been a behavioral health patient here for more than a year. While I thought it was an improvement over the last place I was seen, I have been off an important medication for three months and no one has been able to help me get it refilled. I have left messages for the behavioral health team on at least six separate occasions and the one person able to take calls (no one else in the entire clinic is able to take behavioral health calls) has denied getting any of my messages. My doctor has been out since January and there is no one who can refill the stronger psychotropic medications in her place. I am an educated, high-functioning member of society who happens to need medications and I cant get them refilled. How are the majority of mental health consumers with more debilitating conditions supposed to jump through all these hoops to get their needs met? While clinics like this should be a valuable asset to people in the community, I cant help but feeling there are a lot of people who are being shirked off by a program designed to help.

I feel so bad for anyone who needs medical help and has to come here. I’m so thankful I found a new job that pays more so I was able to get health insurance through them. This place is truly awful.

Cant say too much about this place yet,Ive only been here one time so far and the staff that I did see and come in contact with were friendly and nice from what i saw at the time. Is this place really that bad? I hope not because I just started going here after a very long time of searching & looking for mental health services.. So it was finally a huge relief for me to have found this place. I just hope it doesnt turn out to be more hassle than help. :/

Took 2 and half months to see a supposedly doctor. Gave me a brace that doesnt fit and prescribed me medicine that my insurance does not fill, and treated me like a number. Doctors wonder why patients dont trust them or dont want to go to the doctors office period. I would not recommend this office

Choose another primary care physician. Staying with these guys can be deadly. The staff is worthless and they dont get anything done. It takes an hour to reach a call center that can only send a message that wont be read. When you want to complain to someone higher up they never get back to you. This place is a death mill.

I took my Completely disabled brother into this clinic to see Nurse Practitioner Janet Aller after having a Horrible experience at the Wellspace clinic on Alhambra with Nurse Practitioner Sharon Young it was a TOTALLY WONDERFUL & MUCH APPRECIATED Visit!! She listened and was Very Attentive to what my brother needed and the staff was Great!! Im very understanding to All of the negative comments and reviews However when you receive Good Service I believe that recognition is Also something that should be giving which is why I am speaking Very Highly of this clinic & staff. They have no control of there location Unfortunately But the service of care they do and they do a Great Job!!

New Patient Appointment: Arrived about 20 min early to fill out paperwork. Taken in few minutes after the appointment time by an assistant. Took nearly 30 min to see a provider (nurse practitioner). So took about an hour to talk to the provider from the moment I checked in.Street parking available: $1.75/hour; each street has a different time limit.

If you are getting free medical then there should be no complaints. This is not the best clinic but they DO provide services necessary to help you. The staff is generally nice and neat peole. You just need to stay on top of things instead of expecting everything spoon fed to you. Everyone has got to work to get what they want done done. Be thankful and kind to one another. This is basic value in life.

Unprofessional staff. They need to hire someone who has knowledge of providing assistance to patients. They must change their staff.

I would give this place negative stars if possible. It seems as though there focus is not the patient, patients area de to jump through hoops to get things accomplished and the medical staff is very inept at there duties. Wouldnt be surprised if Medicare fraud was going on here.

Dr Patricia Samelson is very nice, shes my family Dr for 20 years, I love her so much, shes always solve my and my family 👪 members problem .God Bless her .Wellspace is nice and everyone nice over there 😉

It will take you about 1/2 a day to talk with them, their lines are always busy. They are rude and unprofessional.

Im not rating the ppl since they were nice.. got here at 9 but my appointment time was 9:30.. didnt actually get called in til 11 and so i made my meter longer thinking they needed extra time to examine me.. the nurse didnt do ANYTHING but ask me questions and refer me to a cardiologist.. which then why did i need to come here in the first place?! waste of time..

Even if you have medical this is a good place to go to get a quick tb ran when youre doctor cant awe you for month and you need it sooner.Also, the staff is very professional, helpful, friendly.

I came here a few years ago, waited for about an hour and a half, and the doctor that eventually saw me was drunk! He had stroooooong alchohol on his breath, and didnt even look at what I came in for. I know at these clinics you only get about 15 minutes with the DR. but he only gave me about 7. Terrible place! Only come here if you have absolutely no other option and your condition is not serious! Just a note on the history of this place, it was originally started as a last ditch resort for those who have bad drug problems to be seen by a Dr.

Better than wellspace on greenback. Ill travel from citrus heights everyday if I have to.

Dr. Lovejoy is the best doctor Ive ever had. He listens intently and doesnt simply rush one out of the office. Unfortunately, as I just learned, after holding (being the first caller in line) for ten minutes, hes no longer there. My guess would be because this clinic is so poorly run. The intake nurse is a lovely man and an asset to the clinic.My pharmacy told me Wellspace doesnt return their call for refills, this has occurred each time Ive needed a refill. For weeks no one would pick up the phone at all, it would just go round and round via voicemail. Ive walked in several times to find and observe some people working and others just sitting around chatting for literally hours.The intake nurse is a lovely man and an asset to the clinic. I want to adopt him into my family.

If you are seriously in need of medical attention, do not attend this facility. I picked up my pain medication from my doctor which I do every month, who told me to go to the front desk and schedule a follow up appointment 30 days from that date. When I attempted to do so, the receptionist told me dont worry about it, just do a walk in and we will accommodate you. The day I attempted to do my walk in, the same lady that told me to come back acted like I was a new patient and she never saw my face before. Oh hell yes I was mad!!! so we argued for a good 2-3 minutes non-stop but for me, a no win situation. The last words out of her mouth was, GO TO THE EMERGENCY ROOM!!!!!!! So thats where I ended up for six and a half hours just to get a shot in my ass, and told I need to go back to my doctor and work things out.

Had an appointment this morning Feb 22 which i made this app oct 2016, they cancel the app cauz the doc called aick and wanted me to reschedual for may 6th. Worse worse and discusting place

Dont expect to ever get in to see a doctor or youll be sadly disappointed. I made an appointment last June for the first available which was late August. Come the day of my appt and I get a call from Veronica saying the doctor wouldnt be available, could we reschedule - this time for late October. I just went there this morning and Veronica, again Oh, didnt you get the msg that the doctor wont be available? Next available is in January and she cant even schedule that far in advance. I came home and change my primary physician. Headsup, dont even bother with this clinic!

I had a terrible skin infection and had to wait 2 months to be seen. Once it was time to be seen, they reschedule. After I was seen they prescribed 6 different medications 6 different times that wasnt covered. It was a long and stressful process dealing with them. The doctors never returned any calls or corrected thier mistakes, I was forced to walk in and wait numerous times just for the same problem when all they had to do was take a simple look in thier system to see what was covered.

This place is a waste of time.

Not the best place. They are under staffed or something.they take long to call you then they do blood pressure and then they send you outside finally they call again and finish up what they were suppose to do in the first place.

Horrible! The staff really do not care about the patient. So its June, I went in around April for a physical for my job & they told me its going to take about 7 weeks for me to get the paper back so Im like okay .. came 7 weeks later and they lost my physical paper.. smh.

The so called doctor that you come here to see should be fired and have her license revoked.she talked down to us and didn’t want to help us at all.

When needed medical help right then they set an appointment 7 months later then when i miss the appointment because i had to go to jail they wanna call me a highincondrac for trying to make a new appointment and set me to see a strink

Needed daughters immunizations asap for school there supposed to do walk in immunizations thats a lie you will wait months. Not acceptable
