This is an amazing place! Positive for kids to learn life skills as it has taught me and my siblings. Im proud of my family as we all live healthy lifestyles, and growing up in the studio with some amazing people to influence our lives. My dad (Sifu Dillman) always brings out the best in his students,staff and people he deals with. He sponsor so many organizations and events, and even provides scholarships for those needing to bettering their education. He is all about community involvement, family, and most of all seeing people reach their goals in life in and out of the school! I just trained here for the first time last night and I was blown away! Extreme is a beautiful place to train and the owners are super helpful. Everyone you train with has the same goal in mind, to learn and help others get better. I would recommend Extreme for anyone that loves mixed martial arts, trying to get in great shape, or anyone just looking to make new friends and get a new hobby.

Great environment for all who are interested in Martial Arts! The owner is really engaged with the students. The staff is very friendly and helpful. I have been here for 2 years and Im very happy with my progress! Choy Li Fut Kung Fu is no Joke and very effective self defense. I recommend this studio to anyone looking for traditional chinese Kung Fu!

I would like to start by saying most of the five star comments are fake, tap on there profile and youll see most of them has one review and that one review is for this place. I spent a year here and sadly, the money and the relations put into it went to waist. The owner may seem nice but he is a con artist. You can sign up and be able to have no problem getting yourself or your children to join, but if you want to leave or take a break from it, your going to have a hard time. My family wanted to take a break and so we did, we left and thought we had things handled, we were charged for a month we were not there, and these prices were not cheap. We ended up having to pay for a whole month we were not there. Then we got charged for another month and so we paid, the money was claimed through my father when this was happening, everything was situated after that with the owner and in paper. A whole year later we are charged again, it was not my father who it got claimed through it was my mother! Turns out the owner tried claiming it from my mom by having people from out of the country call our home phone, a phone number that was given to the owner originally, after attempting they ended up failing. I was in the area today and I wanted to say hi to my past instructors, (I had also never been a part of the money issue) I go in and greet the instructors but when I went to greet the owner, he was on the phone so I was courteous and waited, when he hung up he looked me dead in the eye and shook my hand, I said hi and he then responded with the remark I was no longer welcome on his campus in a rude and hurtful fashion, my family tried our hardest with him but this was the point where he crossed the line, I ended up leaving after he said that. This goes without saying if you want to be played by a con artist, go ahead and join this group, but if not, I highly recommend you dont join.

I’ve trained at many different schools, and I can say this place knows it’s stuff! I’m excited to say those who are interested in training, and not excuses this is the place for you. My personal trainer was detailed and was able to share some great knowledge of the type of martial arts I’m learning and the unique techniques that are realistic when applying them! Well worth checking if you have experience in martial arts and not scared of instructors being real and not paying for someone to boost your ego, This is the school for you! Amazing adult program. The private lessons are what I really enjoy! You learn hands down some amazing techniques.

My family has had a great experience here. My kid has learned so much about defending herself. I couldnt be more proud of her. Its exactly what I wanted for her before she starts in high school and college. The instructors give one on one lessons each week which she really enjoys. Also the exercise she gets during classes is very much needed in the age of cell phones and Netflix. The staff are friendly and take your training seriously. They make it clear that they want the best for you and your ability to protect yourself.

We have been part of the Extreme Martials Art’s family for many years now. This school has proven to be such a wonderful part of our lives. There are so many different group classes to choose from and they have always worked with our schedules for private lessons. All of the instructors are very knowledgeable in their arts. We have always felt cared for and supported. What an amazing investment of time and money!

Love this place! It has has had a positive effect on our granddaughter. Her being in karate has boosted her confidence way above my expectations. She is 5 and is on her second year here. The staff are all very nice and considerate to each and every student.

One of the best martial arts schools out there! Unlike many schools they treat you like family. The instructors really know their stuff and don’t rush through curriculum. I would definitely recommend Extreme to anyone who has a desire to learn a martial art!

My daughter has become more confident and physically fit since joining in Nov. The teachers are amazing. My daughter has now completed in 2 events, one event within the school and another against 3 other schools. All told she earned 5 gold 3 silvers 1 bronze medals against girls AND boys both older and more experienced. Her instructors Mrs Lee and Mr Dowdy had her mentally and physically prepared and it shows. Parents you have to practice at home with your kids. Be involved and put your phones down. This is a great school and extended family.

Absolutely love this business! My grandson has been going since he was 4 years old. He has learned discipline and respect and takes pride in learning new skills. The instructors from the group classes to the 1:1 lessons give such individualized attention to each student. I would highly recommend Extreme Martial Arts for anyone from child to adult.

Have visited Extreme Martial Arts and. I was extremely impressed! 3 of my grandchildren attend classes and I see how they have become poised, confident and proud individuals! I highly recommend EMAs for children as well as for adults.

Great place to learn a art, wether is traditional mixed martial arts, self defense, or fighting, there something for everyone. From my experience; Ive taken up BJJ, and Tai chi. What I love about this place is the atmosphere, go in and fall into a almost therapeutic environment. The instructor are always in a positive attitude, even if there beaten up from sparring. The students that stay around, or seasoned athletes are also great. Here to train, learn, and be able to repeat the process again, taking care of their team-mates.

Love this place! My oldest son and I started training more than 10 years ago. All of my kids have trained here over the years, and I continue to train with my youngest son. Great martial arts school. The staff really care about their students and families and it shows. They offer private lessons, group classes and opportunities for competition in tournaments which is critical for growth. I have known Sifu Dillman and his staff for over ten years. He expects commitment and effort out of his students and honestly holds them accountable. Sifu Dillman is amazing and takes martial arts serious. My daughter used to be very shy but since coming here her confidence has built up and she truly enjoys it. I started training here just less than a year ago by recommendation from my Sensei to get additional training for upcoming competition. Not only did they have classes for me but they include youth and beginners class for my 6yo. It was literally like walking into my home gym with the way I was excepted immediately and treated like family. Over the past (almost) year we have built a relationship with everyone there and I truly feel like family.Additionally my mom just had surgery for her Sciatica and Sifu Dillman took the time to explain the benefits Of Tia Chi especially with older adults. Mom(76) is all in! Thank you Extreme Martial Arts for everything!

I’ve been going to Jui jujitsu since they first started, and this school is legit, the instructors are top tier, and they really have a passion for their students. Awesome martial arts school. Genuinely caring about each student as an unique individual and makes custom work outs which are catered to each individuals goals and likes. Sifu Dillman always has a creative fun workout planned for me when I show up. I leave my training feeling like a million dollars and incredibly inspired. It is a very clean school and feels like family. So thankful I joined the Extreme Family this year.

Watch out for this gym. My first journey into martial arts was through these guys. I was young, inexperienced and didnt know what to look out for. I visited the premises, and was convinced to sign a one year contract, with the words you can cancel at any time I trained there for about a month, and was in a car accident with a drunk driver shortly after. I was unable to work or do anything physical whatsoever. I called their front desk, asked to cancel my membership while explaining my circumstances and they supposedly did so over the phone. Later on I received phone calls asking about money I owed them. I explained my circumstances again, and the phone call I had made a few months prior. I refused to pay as I was unable to train, went in to talk to them and was told there was nothing they could do even though I could cancel at any time for a legitimate reason at that. So basically they charged me for a year of training that I didnt even do. They put a bill, for services I never received, into collections, which to this day I refuse to pay out of principal. They are trying to charge me over 2000 dollars for a service I never even used. I would understand if I had paid for a physical item, or actual service, but they charged me for absolutely nothing.

They are a really good place, my sons have been going there for 8 years now the staff is amazing with them! Extreme Martial Arts Center helped my sons focus become strong men and have great integrity! Go EMAC!

The school is located in a nice area. The inside of the school is clean. The staff is friendly and very knowledgeable in martial arts They offer kung fu, Tai chi, and even jiu jitsu classes. They teach adult and kids classes. If you are looking to learn self defense or just trying to get in shape. Extreme Martial Arts is definitely worth checking out.

Brought my kids here to learn martial arts they learned nothing useful. Canceled contract with them but they kept my contract going and put my bill into collections after we quit. We paid in full and we were current but the kept charging us and then put us in collections.This place will sweet talk you but behind your back they are shaddy as *^%#!Do not go here unless you want to learn how to be in debt and have a negative impact credit score.

My daughter fell in love after the first lesson. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable and do a great job of empowering the kids.

I am about to do my first training on wednesday. I give it 3 stars only because I havent experienced the training yet, however the introductory if the class was very impressive, and it sound like exactly what Im looking for. Im confident that I will return to give it a 5 star rating!

Buyer BewareWe paid over $100 for a 4 week trial period. I brought my daughter in because she was being bullied and hit at school. I explained I wanted her to learn some self defense and some offensive moves. The woman who did the 1v1 lessons was nice at the first class. The weeks after, when we walked in, we felt like we were not welcome. Her demeanor had changed. As a result...my daughters confidence dropped even lower than before we signed up! It hurt more than it helped.Additionally...the Kung-Fu class where they teach the bo staff (sp) was a bad joke. It was obvious the instructor liked what he was doing, but he clearly was missing all the disapproving looks and chatter from the rest of the room. I kinda felt like I was in a South Park episode and Kenny was teaching martial arts.And one more thing...the pressure to sign up was absurd. I understand you need to pay your rent. But WOW.I am really glad we didnt sign a long term contract before the trial was up.I do not recommend this establishment.

My son was close to being expelled from school. He was a first grader that was always fighting. They thought him Kung Fu abd respect. He got better each year. All the teachers and staff have helped to get him where he is now. I couldnt be happier

Sifu Dillman and his instructors really care about teaching the life skills, respect and physical conditioning. My three children were young and ages 10, 8, 7. Extreme Martial Arts Center took the time to work with each of my kids separately. My kids have other events and sports and Boy Scouts, crazy busy schedules as most parents do with kids. Learning discipline and respect was important to me being a single father and raising 3 kids on my own. I am grateful for all the love, dedication and concern he shows and teaches at his Martial Arts Center. My kids learned self defense and many life skills they use today. I would recommend this Dojo to everyone.

This place has changed my life! Over 9 years ago my daughter and I walked in to the citrus heights studio looking for something we could do together. After talking with Sifu Dillman we signed up. That was the best decision we ever made. My daughter soaked up the knowledge like a sponge! Her grades went up, her attitude became more positive and home life improved dramatically. Sifu Dillman and his knowledable staff is very skilled and shows a lot of patience to all of their Kung Fu and Tai Chi students especially to those with limited experience in martial arts that may be somewhat timid at first. Im here at least twice a week, and I LOVE it! Ive lost at least 30lbs since I started! Sifu Dillman and the crew have taught me so much. EMAC hosts fun events throughout the year (BBQs and Fourth of July get-togethers), and they also attend some events hosted by the community.They are part of the Plum Blossom Federation, an International organization of Choy Li Fut Kung Fu schools.

Energizing and great atmosphere. Positive and catoring instructors. Extreme gave multiple aspects of martial arts. Between the kung fu, and the BJJ during the lunch break, I am given a multiple directional experience.

I have been training with team extreme for years. Sifu Dillman and his amazing staff are under paralelled in there knowledge of Chinese Kung Fu and Yang family Tai chi! If you wanna learn street defense or just get a great workout Extreme Martial Arts Center is the place to train!

I have read some really negative remarks and thought I should share my experience. No Im not getting anything FREE for my post here. Its just my familys experience !! I personally can say this about EMAC.It came to a point here recently where we were going to cancel. I was unable to continue with my Gson training. Sifu Dillman went above and beyond to help keep my Gson training. Sifu made special circumstance arrangements for the last 3 months and into the new year!! To that we are greatfull. The Staff and Sifu Dillman are so upbeat and friendly. My Grandson has been going for 3 yrs now. Couldnt imagine taking him anywhere else !!! They support everyone as if we are All One family and have strong community ties.

In my almost 15 years of experience with Extreme Martial Arts Centers Sifu Dillman and all of his qualified staff have taught nothing but the best Traditional Chinese Kung Fu, Traditional Chinese Lion Dance, Traditional Yang Family Tai Chi and Brazilian Jiu -Jitsu.They come from a long line of teachers and can trace their martial art family tree all the way to 1836.The teaching staff have always welcomed people with open arms and are more than capable of adapting to different teaching styles! Be it a 5 year old child who is constantly on the move or a 56 year old adult who had trouble moving around. No matter the situation you will be taught to the best of your ability!

I have been a member of EMAC for a number of years. When you train here, you’re not just a client, you’re family. Every negative review I’ve seen of EMAC has been from people who made a commitment and did not follow thru on their commitment.

Recommend not wasting your time here. This place is nothing more than a gimmick. My sons spent 18 months enrolled here through the many empty promises. Every time my wife and I showed concern they were not learning anything we were assured they are making excellent progress and to give it time (then they would advance them a belt or stripe giving false reassurance). It was difficult to actually addend the sessions due to the extremely small practice area mixed with overbooked sessions and lack of seating. Here are some of the other reasons we recommend avoiding this place like the plague:Belts:The belts follow no tradition order.The training does not follow and is not recognized by tradition karate, kung fu, krav maga, or other world recognized standards that I could find.The belts are not based on experience or capability but on length of time you attend. In other words, you could come here with years of experience but you will advance at the same rate as someone with zero experience.Fitness:They tout fitness and health. But the severely overbook the classes and the idea of fitness is static stretching for at least 15-20 minutes of a 1 hour class followed by running laps around a small mat as a group at nothing more than a swift walking pace. This is followed by contests like trying to make your peers laugh while remaining serious or watching the team leaders show you moves.Membership:What you really pay $300/mo for is a once-a-week 30 minute lesson with an older student on the payroll that has successfully made it through at least 3-4 years of paid lessons. They have no real qualifications, or recognized talent other than being around for a period of time. They do not challenge the students, they do not push them, and they do not push any real values or discipline. What I mean is it is nothing more than overpriced day care for what is actually taking place.Still on membership, be very very careful. First they lock you into a minimum of a 12 month commitment. They claim to use a billing company but this billing company is actually a collections agency that takes a sizable cut of the fees ensuring they can hide behind them for customer service and billing issues which happen quite often. This is supposedly a small local business but they hide behind this collections agency with the threat of negative credit reporting when you are ultimately dissatisfied.When you do eventually cancel they will charge you for 1 additional month of fees and welcome you to attend the additional sessions for that month, but will reschedule last minute, dirty looks, shunning, and overall make you clearly feel you do not belong because you have cancelled. By cancelling you are the outcast. Lazy, incompetent, you have dishonored them in some fashion. While you are there paying them, best friends, once you cancel, you are the enemy.Lastly I encourage you to pay close attention to their other reviews. At the time of writing this, many of the reviewers are employees or the owners themselves. Others are friends of the owner that help with their tournements and such or have received free membership in exchange for the positive feedback (they had a sign in the lobby for free swag in exchange)If this does not deter you, read your paperwork carefully, and good luck. They will compensate you for positive reviews at least.

Awesome in every way. Knowlegdable, experienced, caring staff who are patient and challenge students to excel. It does not matter if you are young, an adult, or elderly, students who train make genuine progress. I have witnessed people in their 70s and 80s come in the door bent over and walking unstable, and a year later they walk confidently standing straight up. Youngsters learn to seriously defend themselves...they demonstrate practical real-world skills to earn rank. The KungFu training is fast and exciting. TaiChi training builds balance with smooth power, regardless of age. Sifu Dillman and his instructor staff are a class act. This is the best martial arts school I have atttended anywhere. If you want mixed martial arts training, do an online search for Sifu Dillman’s son, Nick. Nick Dillman was trained here by Sifu Dillman. Nick teaches Brazian Jiu Jitsu - ground fighting. If you need self-defense training, this school is the real thing. Train in effective KungFu defense. Train to be fit. Regain lost balance, or gain balance you never had. There are no egos. Everyone is treated with equal respect and fairness. No matter who you are or where you are from, you will feel comfortable and safe, as well as challenged. If you put the work in, you will grow exponentially. I love this place and the people, staff and students alike. You get more than your money’s worth. I do.

Great school Mr dillman is a legit martial arts teacher very knowledgeable and very good at what he does I was honored to be one of his students and still practice the things he has taught me if your looking for a traditional martial arts teacher this is your school.
