Used the website to ship a pallet of tools from Florida to California. Website was simple to use and gave me an excellent rate. I printed all the paperwork supplied by the site and had everything ready for pickup. Driver showed up during the window and called a half hour ahead like requested. Was polite, pulled the pallet out of my grandparents garage and loaded it up. Showed up at my shop in great condition, no damage. Driver was polite and everything went very smoothly.

Use these guys if you want your 5 business day time freight, to take about 3 times as long to arrive. Oh, and use them as well if you want a run around story every time you call. Good luck.

Make sure they know you are in a residential area. Sometimes they place your order on a truck that is too big for your street. When that happens they will forget that you need a phone call from them to tell you that they arent coming, so you get to hang around during the 4 hour appointment window for nothing. They will eventually get you your stuff, just dont expect it on the day they promise nor a courtesy phone call should they not attempt the promised delivery. . . . . . ..

I dont have a good experience I sent a pallet with tools from San Antonio TX to Sacramento CA and they told me is going to be in Sacramento in four days a week later my chipping it was still in transit so my stuff arrive over in a week so I was always looking online so when my tools arrive to the facility in Sacramento I when next day to pickup and the guy at the office said your tools are here at the facility but is not in the system you cant take call tomorrow,so I called next day and next day after five days in the facility they called you can come and pick up your stuff is ready, for me is not professional when they hold the stuff for so many days in the facility

I used the weight quote tool on YRC’s website to come up with a shipping estimate of ~$300 to ship a single pallet. The driver that came to pick-up the pallet did not have a bill of lading for me to fill out (he rummaged around in his truck for at least 10 minutes) so he took my address, the address of the recipient, my reference number and said he’d fill one out when he got to the terminal. As a result, most of the info on what the package was, value, rate, dimensions, density were not correct. A representative from the terminal eventually got a hold of me with a shipping estimate of $947.16 to ship a 375lbs pallet from SLC, UT to Ringgold, GA (receiver agreed to a terminal pick-up to reduce cost). At this point the pallet was already en-route and I had no means of getting it back or negotiating a rate closer to the estimate. The final cost was brought down to $812 after many phone calls to establish what the NMFC was for the pallet.I do not understand the reason for the huge difference between the estimated cost and what they charged me. The representative at the terminal kept insisting that the error was on my part because I “failed to lock in the rate” I saw on the online estimate tool. Maybe so, but the difference between $300 and $812 is considerable and leads a new customer like myself to believe this is either a dishonest company or a company incapable of assessing shipping costs.I am a first and last time customer for YRC Freight. The hours I had invested in selling a product, packing it, arranging shipment, and finally arguing with the company have all been wasted. I estimate that this transaction cost me $600; if my review diverts your business elsewhere I would love to know. How this company has been around for this long and attracts new customers is a mystery. They are disorganized, unprofessional, and not deserving of my (or your) business.

I was given a 9am to 12 window. Got a call that day at 9:30am that they cant do it then. They said they can do it 1 to 5, so I agreed. I called them several times throughout the day and was told it was out for delivery and I should receive it no later than 4:30. After 30 minutes of being on hold I was told at 6:30pm (an hour and a half after the latest time given in their window) that they cancelled it and have to reschedule. They wasted an entire work day of mine and only offered an apology. With no way of accountability, dont be surprised if they screw you over too. If you can, demand a different carrier.

On Jan 27,2017 a YRC driver can to the CHP Academy to deliver 3 pallets of itemsand the driver went to the CHP Warehouse instead of coming to my location. My address is on the paperwork but it looks like someone was trying to erase or cross it out so it was not noticable and the driver told the warehouse person that he could not fit a 53 truck in our dock. We have had trucks pull into our dock before so I dont appreciate the driver not wanting to deliver to us. If the driver made an attempt then I would not beat upset. I hope in the future your drivers come to us and let us decide if he can fit in our dock. If I could I would post this with no star but this will not let me put a review without choosing a star.
