Navin’s began in 1968, bringing the bespoke tradition of London’s Savile Row to California. We design and tailor garments the traditional way. Every suit that leaves our showroom is made entirely by hand. They do not use patterns or templates in the construction of our garments; they take over fifty measurements and create a ensemble unique to the individual.
Got my custom suit from Navins and they are way better than any other stores I been to, really liked my new suit the fabric feels amazing.
Great selection of fabrics, fantastic service and amazing fit.
Peter, is the best! I can not explain the attention to detail and the personal experience that i have had with Navins. If you are planning on having a suit made PETER IS YOUR GUY! From the time i walked in the store to the first fitting I felt that I was in good hands. I have never commissioned a suit but he helped me through every detail and has exceeded all my expectations. Thank you Peter and your very brilliant Team!!!Richard Jensen
Beautiful new suit, very helpful, great guidance through the whole process
First of all, this review has nothing to do with the quality of the suits that come out of this shop. I wouldnt know what they are like, despite my fiance having been told he would have a fitting for his custom suit before Thanksgiving (were now a week away from Christmas). I will update this review if and when we actually get the suit. So, my fiance and I are getting married in February, and he decided that he wanted to buy a nice, custom suit (he had a specific vision in mind). We knew we wanted something really nice, but were both young and know nothing about suits so we needed to not only find somewhere higher end, but also somewhere trustworthy as well. So I researched online suits and tailors until we decided on Navins due mostly to their reviews and proximity. We arrive at the shop on Thursday, October 24th. Peter Navin and his assistant were wonderful! They were kind and helpful, and really helped us figure out what to get. Then after our deposit of almost $1,000, they sent us on or way saying the suit should be ready for an initial fitting before Thanksgiving.Well Thanksgiving came and went with no word from Navins, so my fiance called them on December 6th asking for an update. Peter responded with excuses as to why it wasnt yet finished: we are super busy (then dont promise it so quickly), there was someone who got bumped up on the priority list (ummm, were paying customers and have a wedding deadline... so no.), I cant find your paperwork (we already paid almost $1000 so you better have some paperwork from us), etc., etc. He then apologizes and says hell roll out the red carpet for us next time. My fiance is patient though, so he says he doesnt need a red carpet, just to be treated like the paying customer he is, and that he understands, but when can he come in to get it fit and finished? Peter is not sure, so he says hell give my fiance a call back tomorrow. Well tomorrow comes and goes, with no call. After the weekend, my fiance calls again on December 10th for another update. This time, its oh no, my assistant must have misplaced the card with your information, blah, blah, blah... My fiance, a little less patient this time, says thats ridiculous since he spoke to Peter HIMSELF 4 days previously. Peter once again promises hell call back in a couple days with a day and time my fiance will be able to come in to try on his suit, and once again promises to roll out the red carpet. Well 6 days later on December 16th, with no call YET AGAIN, my fiance calls furious. Our wedding is now in less than 2 months, and we have no idea if hell even have a suit. He expresses this frustration to Peter, with not nearly as much patience as he had had previously, only to have Peter constantly interrupting and talking over him with more excuses. So at this point I decide I want a first hand account. I call Mr. Navin and ask why the suit isnt ready, and why my fiance hasnt been receiving the phone calls hes been promised. This time, its because the phones have been a pain in the butt and no mention of why the suit isnt ready a month after we were told it would be. I began to tell him that phone issues are no excuse for any business to not be accountable to their customer, but then I was rudely interrupted. I calmly waited for him to finish before informing him that he interrupted me. His response: Thats what your fiance said, too. Well guess what, Mr. Navin? Interrupting is incredibly rude, condescending, and it shows that you dont care what your customer is saying. We finished the conversation with him apologizing and me saying wed be there next Monday (December 23rd) for my fiance to try his suit on, so it better be ready. Unfortunately, if Monday doesnt work out, my next step will have to be reporting my deposit as fraud to the credit card company so we can start from scratch and hopefully get a suit in time for our wedding.
VERY disappointed in my contact with Navin Tailor...I live out of state and just called in (because I dont live nearby) and the owner who answered the phone was INCREDIBLY rude to me. The man I spoke with told me I was wasting his time by calling in and that he didnt have time to talk to me, he hung up the phone the first time I called and he used foul and very unprofessional language when I called back. When I called again (assuming maybe this was just a specific employee who lacked communication skills) it was the same man who answered the first time, So I was wrong, this place is just ran by really unprofessional people. I heard several things in passing about this establishment so it was my first choice before this experience however I will go elsewhere because of this lack of professionalism.
