I have had three dresses and a suit tailored here over the last few years. This business is professional and answers any questions you have with a quick phone call. They have always given a true estimate of time to complete the job and they always meet their deadline. Their work is quality and they are very knowledgeable when it comes to making the proper adjustments to get the fit you are looking for. Whatever the occasion may be, I come here because they are consistently dependable.

Not sure why this business only ranks at 3.8. They were awesome and had me ready for my event quickly and precisely. The atmosphere was welcoming and the work impeccable.

I had giant holes in both pockets of my favorite work jeans, so i took them to Linda Lee and she said she would have to completely replace the pockets. They definitely knew what they were talking about. Went back to find that the newly sewn pockets were better than the original ones.

They did a great job altering my dress! This is a family business. The daughter did my initial fitting and measurements and then also did the final try on once everything was done. The mother is the one who does the actual alterations. I had my bridesmaid dress taken in at the waist and hemmed for a wedding and they got it done in just two weeks! I wont name the price, but it was very affordable, especially compared to some other businesses. Ill definitely be back when I need another item altered.

The ladies did an amazing job on my wedding dress. I got real lucky with going to Lind Lees Alterations. Since moving around Sacramento I didnt have a seamstress. And got stressed out with the idea of going to a tailor for the first time with what is the most important piece of clothing I will own. I showed up there with multiple dress that I liked but wasnt sure what one could be fixed to fit me the way it needed. She took time to have me try them all on and showed me what could be done with each one. That helped me narrow it down. I loved the dress I picked but wasnt sure about a bra since it was a deep V cut she gave me a suggestion and the bra she showed me online was the one that worked. The daughter has been helpful and very patient. They even hemmed it twice for me cause after I came home and tried it on I was worried that the length I went with I may trip. I dont want to re-injure my ankle and they politely worked on my dress last minute. The did a beautiful job with my dress with all the lace and am so thankful for them. They have a customer for life!

I asked for full body measurements to send for someone else to make me a dress. They dont normally offer this service but they did so for me in a friendly and professional manner. When they were done, they didnt want to charge me! I practically had to force them to take my money! I will use them for all of my future alterations needs.

If you arent satisfied with their work, they will gladly redo it even worse for no additional charge!I brought my pea coat in to have two of its buttons moved so that the coat would fit me more tightly. I explained that I wanted the buttons moved laterally about an inch and a half. Days later I come back to get my coat, put it on, and as far as I could tell the buttons hadnt moved at all. I wasnt too bothered though, because maybe there was just a misunderstanding about how far I wanted the buttons moved (the owners are Chinese and dont speak English well), and they did offer to move the buttons again at no charge, which I accepted.I come back the next day, the buttons are moved to where I wanted them, so I left a satisfied customer. I was so happy with the way the coat fit that I didnt think to put my hands in the front pockets. Big mistake. You see, one of the buttons is right where a pocket is. The pocket is form by putting one layer of fabric over another. The button is only supposed to go through the outer layer. When they moved the button, they stitched it right through both layers of fabric, effectively wiring the pocket shut. Now I have a coat that fits great but has only one front pocket!Whether they were angry that they had to redo the job, or just plain careless, I dont know. But now Ill have to get the coat altered a third time just to fix their mistake. One thing is for sure, it wont be done by them. I will not be returning to this place ever again. Sewing a button shut is a mistake no competent tailor should ever make.If you still want to give them a try, despite my warning, then be prepared to go straight to the dry cleaner after you pick up your altered clothes. My pea coat was very clean and lint-free when I dropped it off. When I picked it up, it was completely covered in lint of all different colors, and smelled of smoke.

After being a loyal customer for about 18 years, on Saturday I had a pair of leggings with a 2.5 inch rip by the crotch on the seem. The primary alteration lady took a maximum of 8-seconds to stitch up the rip. I was told at the onset the cost would be $5.00 plus $5.00 to stitch for a total of $10.00. The additional $5.00 as a last minute request and the other $5.00 to stitch. I agreed to this, BECAUSE going to Linda Lee Alterations during the business week with McClatchy High School traffic is a nightmare !I feel that customer service in most business, large or small is paramount.Being a long long time customer, I was offended. I truly understand the value to make money and charge for services.Im self employed and bend over backwards for my clients, without charging an additional cost for a 8-second project !My girlfriend has referred me to another alteration location that is close by without the Freeport Blvd traffic and congestion during the week.I made an error by accepting the charge and with further thought I think this was absurd and I will not return.

It was a horrible experience. I dropped off my wedding dress to have minimal adjustments. Came to pick it up with my daughter and realized the adjustments werent correct. I explained it to them and the younger asian woman got upset cussed at me and told me to get the f!@# out of her store. She was acting crazy. Her mother yelled at her and told her to go in the back and she came back yelling again. I asked her for the plastic protective cover so she grabs it and throws it at my daughter. At this point, it is taking all of me to keep calm. I told her to stop cussing in front of my daughter and her mother literally had to pull her into the back and told her to stay there. I paid 280 for the worst service i have ever experienced. I literally left in tears. 3 days before my wedding and i dont know what to do with my dress. I am so offended by her behavior and heartbroken that my dress is ruined. The saddest part of it all is that my 14 year old saw the whole thing.

Disrespectful Linda LeeDecember 24, 2016, I requested Linda Lee’s Alterations hem and shorten the bejeweled straps on my new, yellow gown that I had been delivered to me a week prior from a store in China. I paid $100 for the work to be done. My fitting appointment was scheduled for January 5th. The event I was to attend was January 7, 2017.When I went back in for my fitting on January 5, 2017, while I was putting on the gown, I noticed makeup stains on the bodice, straps, along inside the neck line and spotted with something black in various locations inside the gown. The stains were black and smeared makeup stains. I brought this to Ms. Lee’s attention (assistant to the seamstress, her mother). I told her it looked like someone had worn my gown and stained it with makeup. Ms. Lee denied that she worn my gown and admitted at times she has worn patron’s clothing for alterations purposes. She didn’t explain how the stains got there while in her possession but did admit that they were makeup stains. She looked at the stains and showed them to her mother as well. Ms. Lee asked me if I had planned to take the garment to the cleaners. I said, “No. I did not plan to. It’s a new gown.” She then offered to clean the stains herself and that I should come back either the same day or the next day. I decided to come back the next day. I left the gown there at the shop and left. January 6th I called and spoke to her mother to let her know I couldn’t come in since I had to work. So, she said I could come in to pick up the gown at 10:30 the following day, January 7th. When I came in, the gown had been cleaned up, Ms. Lee pointed out where the stains had been, but the stain on the strap was hardly noticeable. I examined the garment and found the stains gone. The stain on the strap was still there, but negligible. When it was time for the work to be paid for I let her know that I felt that I needed compensation for what happened to my gown while in the possession of Linda Lee’s Alterations, I had to come back which was inconvenient. She said I would have to see things from her standpoint, that the gown was cleaned up and that there would be no compensation, she intimated that my eyesight was poor and that the stains were there prior to my bringing in the gown. I re-emphasized to her the gown was new, that there were no stains on the gown prior to my bringing it in for alterations, and that I would make a complaint. The alterations on the gown were done well, however. I am very happy about that. From my point of view, if Linda Lee’s Alterations is taking on patrons Linda Lee’s Alterations should be responsible and behave in a professional manner toward their patrons. The clothing left in their possession should be treated with care as it is not their personal possessions. The evidence was there that someone (if not Ms. Lee) had worn my gown and left makeup stains on it. It is my belief that someone wore the gown out on New Year’s Eve and racked it. To my great, great disappointment Linda Lee’s Alterations had no regard for me as a patron at all. They were so indifferent, they didn’t even check the garment to make sure it was fit to show me when I came in. I was greatly disrespected, and my intelligence insulted by intimating that I was the one who made my gown dirty and it was dirty before I came in. To cap it off, I was offered no compensation whatsoever for my inconvenience, disappointment and disrespect. I had to ask for it which was denied, that’s when I told her I would complain. What I would like is an apology and a monetary discount even if it is minimal. They owe me that. I was very disappointed in the way I was treated. I am offended.--Janice Kendricks 1/7/2017

Very unprofessional. Was driving around on a Sunday afternoon, looking for opened tailors. The sign on this establishment said closed on Sundays yet, I seen people inside. I tried to open the door it was locked. So I went back to my car, the lady came outside and called me to come back so I did. I had a question if they can fix a strap on a purse it had completely gotten unstiched and detached. Showed her and her husband the purse and they said they could fix it but that I should go to a shoe repair shop and if a shoe repair shop cant do it then to come back to them and that they will do it. And I said well Im already here cant you just do it. He said no to come back after I go to a shoe repair if the shoe repair cant do it. I was so confused as to why they couldnt do the job. Didnt see a point looking for a shoe repair and going back to them of it couldnt be done at the shoe repair. I felt as if they were refusing service to me.. so rude. Will not come here again ! Nor will I recommend this place to anyone !
