I do want to acknowledge that my complaint actually referred to the other Hagen-Sinclair Research location and not specifically against the partner /President Cynthia Cross herself. Although there appeared to be a delay informing Ms. Cross, once she was made aware of the issue she called me right away. The issue has amicably been resolved and I am grateful with the results.
I reached out to the BBB for assistance with a company which was ignoring my calls and emails concerning a defective product. The BBB contacted the company within 24 hours of my filing a complaint and had it satisfactorily resolved that day. I routinely check the BBB website prior to doing business with a company and am always glad I did.
Called regarding a business in California that was suppose to reimburse me on a product I bought but instead of reimbursing me half so not to have to pay shipping and handling to return they charged me again for something not ordered. BBB returned my call promptly and suggested to text regarding their service, as is a new company, called Bugmd. So folks be careful if ordering from this company.
I had a complain against ebay and provided proof that ebay was at fault as the tracking number they provided as a proof of delivery was for a different postal code and sent & received before I placed my order. Before ebay replies, BBB closed the case claiming that ebay answered my concern!!
I contacted the BBB about a year ago to get some information. I then received all the info I needed, and my answer was that I would wait to sign up, I was not ready.I then received multiple calls from a woman named Stephanie from the BBB, my complaint is that she would call me almost every day, sometimes multiple times each day, bothering me to sign up. I even complained to upper level management and she stopped for a few months, but has recently started calling me daily again. I am no longer interested in the BBB, because of how unprofessional this organization is. And frankly I do not think I need them to be successful or validated, as a business.

I had a billing dispute. I tried multiple times to have it corrected. The company kept saying theyll take care of it. Well after 4 months, the company put me into collections. This is why i contacted the BBB. The BBB contacted them. I had a response from the company 1 month later. The issue is now resolved. Without the help of the BBB, id probably still be fighting this. The process was super simple. I filed the complaint online. If you have a dispute, give the BBB a call. Im extremely happy with the outcome.

For my business it is an essential tool for our customers and has been in the 15 years I have been working with Customers all over the north west. I highly recommend BBB to anyone who shops online. I made a complaint about a purchase on November 29th,2019 of which I never received items. Maternity Miracles which is the name of company was unwilling to refund my money. They were unresponsive after they received my payment .My bank tried contacting them, all to no avail.After filing a complaint with BBB on February, 3rd 2020, the company has finally refunded my money via Bank of America. I just received a notification from my bank. So I want to thank you for your help in this matter.God bless you immensely 🙏.
I came to OIC Tax with a substantial tax burden which I had no way of knowing what to do. I put my trust into their hands and thanks to their diligence and reassuring me to be patient I just received welcome news from the IRS my debt is resolved and my case is now closed! I received a letter in the mail telling me I owed money for an Ambulance ride I DIDNT take. I contacted the company that sent the letter and was told I needed to write in disputing the charge, which I did. My concern was that it was some kind of scam, so I went to the BBB website and filed a complaint. My issue was resolved the same day! Excellent work!

I wrote to the BBB to assist in resolving a complaint with a property manager in regards to a security deposit issue. I attached evidence, sent records and email conversations. The BBB got a response from the property management company, asked me if I accepted or rejected the review and then promptly closed the complaint even though I rejected the response from the property management company. I then responded to an email from the BBB and informed them that this issue was unresolved and the response that was received from the property management company was unrelated. After waiting another week I got a response back that there was nothing that they could do because it had to do with an old property management company, which is false. This was a waste of my time and I no longer have trust that the BBB is a competent organization that will help resolve issues.
I want to thank the Better Business Bureau for interceding for me regarding my complaint with John L. Sullivan in Yuba City, CA. I was getting no where with this car dealership in resolving my compliant until the BBB got involved. Once they came in on my side, John L. This process was just a waste of time. Submitting my complaint to the BBB did not change anything, not was it even helpful. If I could speak with someone it would have helpful and if they could have spoken to the company on my behalf. What is the point of forwarding the (very character limited) letter to the business? I mean, I already spoke with them and they did not change their mind, they basically said the same thing in response. I accepted the resolved because there wast anything else to do.Furthermore: BBB should increase (or not have any limit) to the description and result seeking box. I had to cut down my store so many times because it didnt fit. I mean I can write more on this review in comparison.also, have room for multiple attachments not just one
We were asked to write a response to a complaint sent to the BBB even though we are not a business. We spent a fair amount of time formulating our thoughts and then typing it into the response form. The system failed to record our response and deleted the text before we could save it. While the BBB contact person was very apologetic, this kind of treatment does not instill any sort of confidence or desire to participate next time.

Certainly not to help the consumer.I filed my complaint and waited a few weeks, then sent some emails to the person in charge of my case and finally I received this incredible answer -We regret to inform you that due to the company’s failure to respond, we have closed your complaint.What? Because the company failed to respond? So listen up fraudulent companies: All you have to do is ignore them and you win! BBB does nothing to help the consumer, so in essence they are part of the fraud.

The BBB helped my mothers case within the time frame out lined in their application. There was a response in 2 days, the merchant contacted my mother to resolve the matter the same day, and resolution was made! The BBB followed up the merchant to ensure the matter was complete, and they contacted my mother to make sure she was satisfied with the out come before final closure.This is a lot of follow up and accountability for a business to do, to keep merchants accountable for the service they advertise, that they will provide to the consumer upon their patronage. I recommend the use of the BBB when ever possible.
This BBB. IS A JOKE. Dont expect help if the business has A + rating because they only serve the business. Spoke with Alicia today she is closing file even though the business did not do as promised. As long as they are getting paid by the business they dont care. Tjis business has 2 stars on BBB. WEBSITE AND OVER 30 COMPLAINTS involving unethical marketing and preying on elderly. The business makes sales calls and when I told them on do not call registry they claim some charity affiliation that doesnt exist.In response to your reply, No one at the BBB. ever told me, and i spoke with 4 people, that you take these claims seriously or that you would be evaluating their sales practices. You never expressed any appreciation for anything I did. Actually I was told the case was closed and sent me an email saying happy you have resolved the complaint You are worse than k=designers. BBB. of Sacramento is unethical, LIARS. NOTHING WAS RESOLVED. You and K-Designers DO NOT act in good faith.. As I told the woman at BBB. k-designers didnt return my call or send the gift certificate as they promised. It has been over 2 weeks. I was told by the BBB. sometimes you must hound them to call back because they are running business . So the BBB. thinks its good business to have to hound them to do what they committed to do?What I really expected from the BBB. is to hold them accountable, and since they failed, their BBB. A+ rating should be affected but it has not . I can only assume its because they PAY YOU. A conflict of interest. BBB. is a scam . Is the money worth your integrity? Apparently so.On yelp the BBB. Sac have horrible reviews with less than 2 stars.

I was given a call from the Better Business Bureau for information about joining them. I was told that I would not be charged any fees for applying, and they would only charge my card if I accepted their membership. The next day they charged my credit card. I never accept any membership and made it clear that I was still think about joining them, and did not want to be charged anything .
This is the second time I have contacted the BBB over problems with my Health Insurance carrier over the past couple of years. I am confident I would still be without my overdue refund check had I not contacted the BBB.The Better Business Bureau is the best for helping the little guy deal with problems with the big corporations. When all my efforts to resolve an issue are met with unending chaos and lack of follow-up/ resolution, I turn to the BBB. They are the best solution in order to stop wasting time spinning in the corporate customer chaos. Most of these large companies do not like the negative attention of having a spotlight shone on their lack of efficiency and questionable ethics: They promptly cough up the money once you file an issue with the BBB (& its free)!I greatly appreciate the BBB for their help and service in assisting me to get some justice!

Ordered item on line and selected 2 day shipping (with an extra charge). When the item arrived 6 days after the order was placed called them for a refund. They informed me that the 2 day shipping was after the usual 5 days to get it out of their warehouse!Immediately filed complaint with the BBB, their website is terrific and easy to follow. Their correspondence, via e-mail, is quick. Within a week they had contacted the business, and the business agreed to refund to charge. Kudos to BBB!!!!!!!

They are the worst. I dont care how much proof you have, they never side with the buyer. I wish someone would sue them for being an unfair business. I look at the 1 star reviews, and still you see BBB making excuses for them siding with the business. Their reasons are really lame. Like Tamara Pedersen. because the business said!! Said? There is a reason why your rating keeps dropping. Well if the business said so, it must be true. I ordered a vape pen. It didnt work, I fought with the company and they sent another faulty one. BBB decided in favor of the business because they sent out another. Thats all they were entitled to do. It didnt matter if the 2nd one was faulty. Quit saying you are unbiased. All these people have proven that to be false. Just because you say the sky is purple doesnt make it so. The proof is in the pudding. Every Time I have filed a complaint about a company justifiably, you have always sided with the business. With pictures and all the proof, you can not say you dont side with the business.
Like most review sites, consumers should know that BBB gives positive ratings based on how much a business pays them. Many would call this type of business a racket and not completely honest.Case in point, as long as we paid BBB to be Accredited, we had an A+ rating. After four years, when we decided we werent gaining benefit for the $500 a year subscription, we let them know we were canceling.BBB didnt like the loss of income, so they downgraded the company to No rating even though there were no changes, and no complaints filed by consumers. We asked them about it and they apologized (a year ago) and said they would remedy the situation if we submitted a formal request. We did, but our business still shows the same on their website.Its not just a gripe about our status with BBB, but to educate people that BBB shouldnt be totally relied on for ratings. And a reminder that the best way to review a business is by word-of-mouth and first-hand experience.

Pretty dissapoimted with BBB. Opened a complaint against a company and provided all factual evidence to back up my complaint. The other company did not provide any data and said they were correct. BBB agreed with the other company and closed my complaint. Wasted my time doing this as I later found out that BBB will side with the business if they do not want to agree with the customers complaint.Again no point of using BBB at all.
Just a glorified review website. They do not have any real power, do not be fooled. Not a government owned business. They just want you to think that if you dont follow their instructions, then your business will crumble.

Ive used the BBB services at least three times now, always ending with favorable results. Lately, the BBB even reopened a case at my request, which ended up resolving the case in my favor. There is no shortage of dishonest, unaccountable business owners out there who are unwilling to do the right thing for unsatisfied customers. Because of this fact, Im grateful that the BBB exists, attempting to hold these business owners accountable. I highly recommend using the BBB towards resolution when dealing with uncooperative businesses and their owners.

BBB helped us get our overpayment of installation costs refunded in full. It was great to have them assist in the communication with the retail company we had a dispute with as we did not want to have to talk to them directly any longer. A friend of ours told us to get in touch with BBB about our problems with the retailer. Glad we listened to them.We recommend BBB to anyone who has a dispute with a public retail company to assist in resolving the dispute. It is free and is as good as any lawyer!
I have used BBBs services a few times now and am so grateful for their assistance. My most recent complaint was towards a threading service. I contacted their corporate office and they seemed dismissive and did not regard my complaint in a very appreciative manner. Once the BBB contacted them, I dont know what the BBB told them but the threading corporate office even offered a refund and a courtesy service. The BBB serves as a third party, a sort of mediator between customers and businesses. They are prompt in their communication and really make their presence. Thank you BBB I highly recommend them!
I was scammed by a website that offered to look up contact information for $1.45. Once they had my credit card information they signed me up for a monthly service (without my knowledge) and started charging me $25 a month. The BBB intervened on my behalf and, as a result, I was able to get most of my money refunded. Awesome service! I will never make another online purchase without checking the BBB site first.
I had a complaint about a business in NE California, I referred the matter to the Better Business Bureau. Within a very short time after I filed the complainant, I received a communication from the BBB and later that day spoke with an agent, a Richard Luong, personable and diligent. The matter was resolved to my satisfaction.Communications with BBB are very fast and efficient, and it appears that they are on the job 7 days a week.This is a low impact way to resolve consumer issues, both for the consumer and the business in question.After many decades of dealing with one bureaucracy or another, my experience with the BBB was a real breath of fresh air.Thank YouJohn Van Gelder
My problem was with a publisher who continued to send their publication to me after my paid subscription had expired and then tried to force me to pay for those issues which I had not authorized. I gathered up all of my correspondence and other evidence and sent it to my local BBB office with a cover letter explaining my problem. About a week later, I received a letter from the local BBB office which contained a quoted excerpt from correspondence sent to them in answer to my complaint. In that quote, the named publisher explained that they had removed all records from their accounts receivable books resulting in a statement that I did not owe them any more money. They also hinted to an apology for the incident. I am very grateful for the people of the local BBB for their assistance in solving this wrongdoing on the part of; lets call it a less than honest publisher.

Horrible, illegal actions, am taking them to Attorney General, if you have problems with them that are detrimental in numerous ways, dont be surprised. Look up how to file a complaint about them on the web. You will see how bad they really area. An absolute harmful waste of time, siding with the businesses, they do NOT support consumers. Just check out who some of their sponsors are i.e., Moving and Storage companies. They also try to get you to reveal personal information about yourself and post it on-line which is illegal. Please dont waste your time with these incompetent people who misrepresent themselves and their mission. Wow! Very bad! My complaint was against Elk Grove Moving and Storage who dropped my piano and will not honor the claim even after hiring a piano expert as instructed per EG Moving & Storage owner Mike Long. That costs me $85. PLUS $20 in requested paperwork to BBB (Bad Business Bureau!) They are definitely in cahoots with businesses as the other reviews state.

My BBB complaint is still in process but, so far, it has been a good experience. The BBB contacted me about my complaint within 24 hours after filing it. They included the process that would be followed and an approximate timeline in their response. I am so glad we have an option like the BBB when we feel we have been taken advantage of by a business.
I was advised by BBB that I could not offer my experience with a business (Im the form of a BBB business review) necause the response to my complaint was not respomded to.( I did respond, and and looked for the next respo se each day when suddenly my response was deleted and the entire matter closed. 21 days after wroting my complaint, and about 4 days after my response. The website says disputes typically are closed after 30 days, ) I was also told by th BBB in an all that I could not resubmit my complaint because it was a duplicate. Is the goal of mediation to mediate disputes or to defend big businesses lack of integrity doing business? I haveade every attempt to seek mediation in a reasonable and fair way. Leaving me aessage to call and start over? What for? You didnt bother to mediate any dispute the first time, in fact, there is nobody to mediate this dispute so I guess Im out of luck. Thanks for nothing BBB, HUGE WASTE OF TIME - BBB MEDIATION PROCESS IS NOT INTENDED TO RESOLVE DISPUTES IN A FAIR AMD TIMELY MANMER- IT APPEARS TO BE A DAMAHE CONTROL TRIAGE TO PREVENT... There is no mediation process that is available, there wasnt for my dispute. Not when I asked for mediation.. In fact I was told I could not even leave a review of my experience. For future comsumers to reference.Absolutely not intended for comsumer education or protection, but fully supportive and so Great for corporate cost reduction!My local BBB will not help me and I have no clue why not. My concerns are repeatedly sent out of state, and despite my request to keep complaint resolution local and near me, and near the place of business I am having problems with. I asked the BBB serving the West Sac area, how I may submit a review of the business in question, with the BBB. I was told NO, that I couldnt submit a review with the BBB because I had not completed the complaint process. (???)The BBB serves BUSINESSES FIRST, and if the business you have a dispute with doesnt care aboutYour business- the BBB is not going to be an objective judge of any facts or concerns you offer them . We wasted so much negative energy and time trying to determine what we did wrong and to whom did we do it to. All because the BBB does not verify emailed complaints before a business is emailed the A complaint has been filed against you with the BBB . . letter.

Sacramento BBB helped us resolve an issue with Sacramento Bee. We believe their involvement helped Sac Bee to finally cancel our subscription and close our account. The BBB states they investigated our issue and it was resolved when a refund of $55 was received; however, we have no record of a refund of any kind. We do not recall the events of this so called case, nor any correspondence with the BBB. Furthermore, the BBB has not informed us who the complainant is. The BBB claims they have made a decision and it is final--this is absurd.
The Better Business Bureau here in Northeast California helped me resolve a dispute with a local business. If not for the intervention of the BBB and Ashley Mauch, I do not think I would have gotten a refund and my property returned.I really appreciate the help of Ahsley Mauch and the BBB. Its nice to know that there is someone out there who stands up for the little guy.

The BBB helped so Nissan of Folsom Keep $1451 because the check was never sent had they read the response from Nissan of Folsom. It clearly said the check was for pick up but I was never notified the check was even there.
