Beautiful venue and most of the staff was great, especially Victoria, the bartender. But overall I think things could’ve been a little more professional and ran slightly more efficiently.

Beautiful venue, but hot. Very limited shade and food barely warm. Cocktail hour was great. People/servers were constantly making sure you had a drink and appetizers to eat.

Rooms at the inn were just ok. There was dust and mildew on window sill.The wedding lawn area and reception venue were very nice.

Nice to have a venue there, location, space. But some of the servers were not attentive or helpful, some are.

I just walk by it everyday as it is so beautiful. I have never been inside or stayed there. I can only imagine that it would make a fairy tale wedding and i wish that my fiance and i could just afford the elope venue. Oh well, it is fun to dream.

The venue coordinators and catering staff at Vizcaya are top notch when it comes to serving their clients and creating seamless events. The historic property and neighborhood offer gorgeous backdrops for photos. Guests can stay in the bed and breakfast which makes hosting an event at Vizcaya even more convenient and relaxing. You feel like you have the whole property to yourself!

I had my wedding at Vizcaya in January of 2017. Gorgeous venue, super helpful and knowledgeable staff, excellent service.Three years later and people still talk about the crab cakes, the stained glass, the outdoor patio, and the ease of our weddings. It was all possible at Vizcaya and I would definitely recommend them to anyone!

Beautiful venue. We attended a wedding here. They have a beautiful courtyard area for a wedding. A lovely patio area for cocktail hour. Plenty of room inside for a seated dinner and dancing. The location is on a busy street. The surrounding neighborhood is nice though. My wife and I enjoyed an evening walk. The room was cozy. The bed was amazing. Best night sleep Ive had in a long time. The bathroom was big: big, soaking tub with a separate dual head shower for two. I thought the staff, with the exception of Lauren, wasnt very inviting. Overall, I think I would stay there again.

Horrific!! I checked in to the place, see booking confirmation below. I signed the paperwork and was given a key. I was in the room for about 2 hours when the manager unlocked my door and tried to get in the room. I told them that I was in the room. An hour later the manager unlocks the door and comes in the room again. I said you know someone is already in the room why would you unlock the door and try to let yourself in. He could have knocked and asked to check my booking information instead of just allowing himself in the room. I had to put on clothes because I was getting ready to take a shower! He said I didnt have a booking for this room, which is absolutely untrue, how else would I get a key. I told them regardless of the info you can not just let yourself into a room repeatedly without knocking first and allowing me to answer the door. I told him I was going to leave and he said thats fine. Completely unprofessional.

Great place to stay. Quaint but also high-quality. Would prefer that weekday breakfast start a little earlier for business travelers, but this isnt really a business hotel.

Veronica was amazing to work with. She made a beautiful wedding reception for my aunt which we were stunned by. Im happily thankful for our family working w iDesign Events to make this all happen. She recommended this beautiful event center and we are just really happy with the service and all the beautiful decor at Vizcaya.

As a wedding venue, this spot is nice. The staff were very nice but the food was just, ok. The late afternoon wedding was outside in the sun, and was extremely and I comfortably HOT. Knowing that this was an evening wedding, most people knew to dress for a black tie event. However, everybody was complaining of the heat. Also, We were seated near the back and couldnt even hear the officiant.

The venue was much larger than I had expected. Its beautiful. I wouldnt do a wedding for more than 100 guests. The staff were nice. It was pretty easy to find and to park.

Beautiful is an understatement. Its tucked away in a great neighborhood, with old fashioned architecture. It feels like a southern plantation house. The rooms are very accommodating and relatively quiet for an old building. Beds were comfy and warm. Bathrooms are updated and feels like home. The gardens are stunning and well kept. Roses, fruit trees, so much to add beauty to the area. Theres a private courtyard behind the main rooms where you can socialize and share a drink with friends. Overall very, very happy with our stay. We will be returning the next visit to Sacramento.

We had such a wonder time at our wedding. All of the staff at Vizcaya are experts at their job, and so profession. I was not worried about a single detail that day, which was wonderful. Caitlin, our coordinator, was so wonderful through out our entire planning process. Caitlin went above and beyond on multiple occasions to make our day happen. That night felt magical. We received so many compliments on the venue that night. Thank you to the staff of Vizcaya.

Very nice place. Went to my nieces wedding here. The attendants were very nice and helpful. The food was excellent. Only reason for 4 stars was the music at the reception was wayyyyyy too loud.

My husband and I were married here almost two weeks ago and we just cant say enough good things about The Vizcaya and its staff! From start to finish we had such a positive experience. Aubrey was our coordinator and she is so great! She was available whenever we needed her to answer questions and give us recommendations. Everyone was so accomodating also, anything we asked was done without any issue.The day of the wedding went so smooth, other than an issue with the zipper on my dress (which Aubrey and Liz handled like pros!) we couldnt have pictured a more perfect day! Besides the excellent service, the actual venue itself is beautiful, it has been newly remodeled and is classic and elegant. The huge windows and gorgeous stained glass ceilings are what got me!The food is awesome too! Everything was delicious and they have pretty big selection to choose from. We added late night street tacos and everybody LOVED it! Booking The Vizcaya is the best decision we could have made, We would recommend it to anyone!

I attended a wedding here. It was hosted outside. I didnt see that they had a parking lot. Venue was small, but intimate. The wedding was held outdoors on a November evening. It was very cold, and the venue didnt have enough heaters in my opinion.

Attended a wedding reception at Vizcaya. Lots of scenery for photo ops. The banquet room was kept cool; A/C worked much better than an event I attended here about 8 years ago. Staff was professional and courteous.

Visited here for work holiday party. Its a beautiful venue inside and out. It is perfect for a gathering of around 100 people or less. The only slightly concerning issue is that the outdoor balcony only has a small opening with a stone step path to access the rest of the patio and could be a tripping hazard.

We attended a friends wedding. Beautiful venue with amazing staff that worked until late and were amazingly friendly and helpful. Our only complaint is that the county has made parking difficult; they now require meters or very limited street parking until 10:0pm most nights. Plan ahead and be aware.

Vizcaya is an elegant place. I enjoyed celebrating my best friend wedding there. But there was a mishap with a young women who I beleive was a housekeeper she made advances towards her now husband and I thank god he did not try and make any acknowledgement to them, his best man try to tell her stop but I don’t think she understood English.She almost ruin the festivities! I hope this has not happen to anyone else.

I was there with friends who are deciding if this would be the venue for their wedding. At first it did not look big enough for our party, but then once we went inside we found out that this lot is tucked behind beautiful trees, making it appear much smaller than it actually is. The interior is gorgeous, kind of like a tiny White House. The catering, venue itself, and staff made everything feel very welcoming, especially the price because we were thinking a lot higher. After we left we were thinking it was either going to be this place or one other one, I think hes kind of leaning towards this place.

It was honestly a really good place to stay! We enjoyed everything! The place was really clean and neat.

We didnt end up booking the Vizcaya as our venue, but I wanted to leave a comment about Lauren. She is so great! She was very prompt when setting up a tour and super friendly. Out of all 10 venues we toured in the Sacramento area Lauren is the only one who followed up with me after the tour and multiple times afterwards.

This cute boutique hotel is merely a few footsteps away from the beautiful Union Square. Great location! Shopping, restaurants, transportation- everything you could want in the heart of Sacramento, CA is here! Very friendly staff, clean rooms, very comfortable beds, room a bit small like they advertised but big enough to be comfortable and not claustrophobic like I was expecting. For the price you cannot beat the location and quality of this hotel! Well be coming back here for sure!

Horrific Experience! Do not stay at this place!I stayed at Vizcaya for Bed and Breakfast, so I have no comment for their event services, but only the stays.1. No wifi. You cannot open any browser with the wifi, its so poor that it takes half an hour to send one photo. I do not recommend this place for business stays.2. Someone tried to use a key to open my door at 3AM. I was terrified and woke up in horror by the key turning noise. I had to turn on all the lights before that person stop turning the key.3. In my city, Do not disturb sign = Please do not enter my room no matter what. I hung the sign on the outside door knob, but someone still came into my room, gave me new towels and made my bed.4. I really appreciate that the staff made my bed, but left lipstick mark, oil stain, and unknown liquid stain on the bed sheet (See pictures). It really just grossed me out.5. There is no front desk staff during the night time at Vizcaya, I wasnt able to tell my horror stories to anyone.6. Vizcaya is a vintage style facility, but the table in my room is so vintage that it looks like bought from a thrift shop. The table is covered with scratch marks and sticky food and beverage stains (See picture).I booked the facility because of the good Google reviews. I cannot believe the reviews anymore. Thank you Vizcaya for such a horrific experience and unrestful nights.

Vizcaya is a beautiful venue and has a very humble and willing staff they are always happy to help and it was a great experience being there. The only thing that I would not change but improve is that the facility roof and overall appearance needed a serious uplift. Overall it was a awesome experience and I would be soon to return if to stay in sacramento again.

Arrived late but the inn keeper was gracious and kind while settling me into my room for the night. The food was absolutely excellent at breakfast and the coffee hot. My company had an event at the pavilion next door in the morning. It was well hosted, the food was amazing, the space was lovely, and the staff was attentive, efficient, and kind. I would come back in an instant.

The staff is amazing. It is extremely clean, and the food is beyond your standard venue food. The food is delicious! Some of our DJ staff call it their favorite restaurant :) Vizcaya is the perfect place for a gorgeous wedding.

The venue was beautiful! The fountains outside are gorgeous and the courtyard in the back was well kept and beautiful. The banquet hall is large can hold our entire family.

A friend wanted to take pics at this location. We took pics in front of the waterfall. The groundskeeper told us we could take pics in the other parts of the building. It was absolutely stunning!

The folks at Vizcaya did an excellent with a wedding I was a part of. The venue was wonderful, space was great, staff were awesome. Would absolutely recommend giving these guys a look.

Beautiful venue, great rates, professional staff, provided all my linens, a wedding planner to work with us from day one all the way to the last second of the wedding, delicious catering, flexible and open to my now husband and Is ideas and was able to provide a bunch of decor to us for very little/for free so we didnt have to rent a lot of things from other vendors! The Vizcaya staff and our coordinator Caitlin went above and beyond what we asked for and we couldnt have had a more perfect wedding! Thank you, Vizcaya!
