I went here on accident, dropped my car off when they were booked solid and they made it work. It was a roller coaster ride as the issue was more complicated than any of us thought. They offered a loaner car when the job took longer than expected and kept me updated as the work was completed. Ill be going back for future service.

Don’t trust these guys. They knew we were from out of town so charged us for an original Volvo axel at $650 ($900 after labor) but they installed an aftermarket (non-Volvo) axel that sells for $240. This was the day after Christmas, by the way. After driving home 450 miles the car started making strange jerks. A local Volvo mechanic recommended we replace the same axel we just paid $900 for. It turns out that the aftermarket axel did not fit correctly so created issues, otherwise we would have never discovered the problem. We drove the car back 450 miles and they tried to cover up by explaining that the $240 part was the same as the $650 part, but they still charged the full price. They replaced the axel with a Volvo part, but they had the car for 2 weeks. When we picked up the car there were 2 dents on the passenger side fender (side the axel was replaced) that were not there before. We didn’t see the dents until we were home and didn’t have time for them to fix it. I’ve now heard multiple stories of dishonesty on the part of the shop. Beware!

Recently had to bring my 06 V70R in to SVS for a catastrophic transmission failure repair. From the start Rick was very helpful with getting my car into the shop and getting in torn down to find out what happened. He even oversaw the unloading of my precious VR from the flat bed since I was unable to be there when it was dropped off. The tear down was as bad as we thought and it was going to be costly. I was presented with multiple options to rectify the issue and I was not pressured to go one way or the other. They advised me on my best course of action and I chose the right path based on my needs. The estimate they gave me vs. The final bill was actually dead on. I couldnt have asked for a better experience. Rick kept me updated throughout the 3 week repair job and SVS had my car ready for me when they said it would be. Even did me a solid and had the car detailed/ cleaned off all the transmission oil that covered the car from the failure at 60mph. ( It was Bad)I would highly recommend SVS to anyone who needs service. They have been my go to Volvo service center for the last 10+ years.

Ive used SVS Volvo for a few years, and usually for maintenance and service of my Volvo C30. I had major wear and tear on my vehicle that needed immediate attention. Rick was very professional and provided an accurate quote for service and parts. They made it very easy during this pandemic to get my car into the shop and provide a quote via text. Fantastic customer service. Came in with an overheating issue; the guys were fast to see me and diagnose the problem the day after labor day with no appointment. Ended up needing a new vehicle (repair wouldve been more than the car) and Robert the owner was quick to help me find something locally. He and Rick kept me very comfortable during a stressful situation, treating me like family. My only regret would be that they didnt get to work on my vehicle more as Im sure they can fix anything effectively.

These guys went the extra mile to diagnose a tricky electrical problem I had with a used XC60 that I had just purchased. They kept me appraised at every step even though it took longer than initially expected. Once they replaced the bad part it was like new! And they got it done quicker and cheaper than the estimate. If you have a Volvo you should take it here!

These guys are the best at fixing all the weird things on your volvo. They have decades of experience(and it shows), and dont try to run your wallet. They have true integrity. Will definitely go again next time I need a tune up.

We are from out of town and went to SVS for a pre purchase inspection. They were able to get us in that day! Their report was very clear and detailed. Their price was reasonable and well worth it - we ended up not purchasing that particular car. We would go here again if we lived in town.

Prepurchase inspection showed too many issues with the car in question, so they saved me a lot of money in the long run.

Honest people, great service - Went in with a mystery stall that my code reader was pointing at electrical and expensive. Turns out it was a loose hose clamp! Amazing that they figured it out so quick and didnt have to replace the items that were coding!

Had our Volvos serviced since 1986. Could not find a better place to service the Volvo. We had an oil change and spark plug replaced. Robert is the owner and a Volvo trained tech. He staff is all well trained.

I was passing through the Sacramento area and had a problem emerge with my Volvo V70 wagon.The staff quickly identified the issue and even had the necessary part on hand....awesome!!I was soon moving along with my beloved Volvo running smoothly; top notch.

Had my volvo towed there. (They knew and expected to arrive) didnt get a call back, i called after 4 days and was told i would get a call back after looking at the car, nothing, i call again in a few days and was told they are looking into finding the part needed. Another few days, no call back. I call again, ok so i dont feel like anyone is really concerened at all about helping me with a quote, diagnosis, a timeline, anything. Seemed to be a real hassle to deal with my car so i finally had my car towed back out of there and finally fixed, yes fixed for 1/4th of what i was eventually told the day i had it towed back out. Im sure there customers, & regulars who have great service, easy fixes etc...and i hate giving less than great reviews, but i had a bigger problem and not an easy fix. I am also a female, single, not mechanically experienced and just needed a little communication and/or a little guidence as to what my options may be.

The people at svs are true and honest. They fixed my Volvo at under the quote. They even washed it. Gave me advice to avoid future repairs. A maintenance schedule to keep it healthy. I want to add a sixth star. Well done. Don’t go anywhere else. I won’t.

I assumed it was the end of the road for my 2004 XC70 when the transmission began shifting really roughly. The guys at SVS knew of a common issue which could be repaired for considerably less than the cost of a new/used transmission. The solenoid bushings did the trick...back on the road headed for 140k!

I am a lover of Volvos and have owned several models over many years. With that being said, we all need to know our Volvo and what to watch for as they can tend to have some temperamental things and just like any car they require being maintained properly to last for years. I moved to the Granite Bay area about a year ago. Sacramentos Volvo Service (SVS) was highly recommended to me for servicing or any issues. They are, without a doubt, on top of their game. Honestly, I have to say that they are the most kind, honest, knowledgeable, reasonable and professional group of men I think Ive ever dealt with! Over all these years as a Volvo owner I now I am in great hands with them! All of the customers I noticed coming in and out also seemed to have a very nice rapport with the entire staff and many smiling faces! I am a true new fan of SVS and wouldnt consider taking my Volvos to any other shop after the excellent, positive experience I had with them. Five Stars in my book!

Excellent service and Trustworthy. The main mechanic (Omhar) found the mystery noise and located the problem. He even showed me what the previous guy was trying to charge me for and saved me over $900.00... I Highly Recommend SVS, especially the Master Tech Omhar Rodriguez. He brings the Honest, Non-gouging and straight-to-point answers that allow customers to make sound decisions and prioritize the work needed.
