The team at Pauls Automotive replaced my alternator and flushed my transmission fluid on my 2013 Toyota Corolla. Tom was very helpful, friendly, and professional. They sent me an inspection report via text which was really useful and easy to understand. Their prices were on the higher end compared to what I shopped around for, but they did a good job so I didn’t mind paying a bit more. I’ll go back to Pauls Automotive next time I need work done.

The folks at Pauls Automotive did some great standard maintenance (smog, oil, tire rotation) on my Subaru, Frank was friendly and professional. Receiving their inspection report via text was incredibly helpful and reminded me that I had been intending to replace my cabin air filter for awhile. Wow!I entrusted somebody new (to me) for a whole laundry list of items needing attention on my vehicle. I was a bit embarrassed to bring it in after neglecting it for several years.I called and made an appointment a couple days in advance. When I brought the vehicle in, I was given immediate attention, thorough description of the process, estimated price,and final expected completion date. A couple hours into it, I received a very professional text that included photos and complete descriptions of the repairs needed. You can imagine my surprise when they cut the expected date in half, the text indicated the job was complete. When I picked it up, they went through the invoice line by line.Everyone was distancing properly, sanitizing customer areas, and wearing masks. The vehicle has not been in better shape.Very professional and a great job all the way around. Ill be back, you should go see them too. Thank you Pauls Automotive!

Wow! Pauls saved me $700 bucks! Big O misdiagnosed my car as a bad brake booster. I spoke with Mike and he knew of the issue I was having. So, I took the car in and Frank was able to diagnose and fix the issue. I am incredibly grateful. From now on Pauls will be my go to shop!

They do a really, I mean really great job. They will bend over backwards to help you. They arent cheap, but honestly, do you want someone cheap working on your car or truck? Think about it.

I stopped in to have a loose part that was hanging from underneath my car checked. Mike quickly put it up on the racks & ran to the back to get a pin it needed to reconnect the piece and had it down and ready to drive away within 5 minutes!!!! I went to Pauls Automotive because my check engine light was on. They were able to repair it at a reasonable cost. This place is small and gets really busy. They did get a little backed up and ended up needing to keep my car overnight. It was difficult being without my car for 2 days. In the end, the service was top notch and happy its all taken care of.

Mike, the owner, and Frank will make you feel right at home. They are very customer oriented, and really care to ensure that your vehicle is safe for your family. Fair pricing, great follow-up and communication. I cant say enough good about Pauls Automotive. The only folks I carry my personal or comapy car for maintenance and repairs.

I love Pauls! The staff is great, the prices are fair, and theyre always honest with you. When I brought my dying Subaru in, they gave me their honest assessment that it would be better to buy a new car than to fix this one. I had them check out the used car I was buying before the sale was final and they did it for free. The location is also super convenient -- if youre a Capitol/downtown Sac worker, you can just drop it off in the morning, walk to work, and then pick your car up on your way home. Big fan of these guys!

Really great service! Ill only be driving my car for another 9 months because it will need a new catalytic converter in order to pass smog at that time and the cost of the converter is more than the car. The guys at Pauls have been very honest with me about which of their recommended repairs are truly necessary to drive the car safely for this interval vs. which are less essential or primarily for comfort. Also, I live down the block from Pauls and they were super helpful when my battery died - jumped it so I could bring the car over for a battery recharge and also helped me navigate some issues with my garage door so we could safely get the car out. Overall, I think they give honest and knowledgeable advice and listen well to the needs of their customers. Highly recommended!

They worked on my 2007 Volvo XC90 with broken drive belt and radiator when no one else would, even after calling 3-4 other shops and they all said NO. They suggested to send to Volvo dealership instead. Ugh.My car now runs great (as can be) now. Thanx to Frank and Tom for being courteous and up front. Modern tech meets old school customer service for a great experience. Made my appointment online-confirmed promptly by email. Friendly and quick check in when I dropped off my car and because of the location was a short walk to my office. They send text updates that link to a detailed report and pictures. Found some extra issues, but didnt hard sell them! Gave me an estimate when I asked and the prices were not high. Definitely found my garage for all future service.

I took my 2002 Toyota to Pauls after a mobile mechanic ruled that my gear would not shift out of park because of transmission issues. I was very concerned that even though my car is 16 years old..it only had 168k miles on it. I was prepared for the worst. As soon as it was off the tow truck Mike was able to get it out of park immediately. But He did notice it was sticking a bit. Thankfully it wasnt the transmission...but there were other issues that needed to be fixed. My car now runs great & perfect again. I highly recommend Pauls Automotive for great service that was affordable for my budget.

I was super impressed with Paul’s Auto. First of all, I love that you can book an appointment online. I used to go to my car’s dealership for maintenance, but their hours were restrictive and I put off doing repairs because I wasn’t certain I could get my car in. The employees at Paul’s were extremely friendly, professional, clear, and communicative - they perform a complimentary inspection on your first appointment and send you a report digitally with the status of their inspection so you can make decisions about what to repair or not. At no time did I feel pressured into completing repairs, but I trusted and appreciated their judgment. Everyone I spoke to was knowledgeable and helpful.

2016 makes 23 years. 6 cars (at least) and the same 4 or 5 guys in the shop.Pauls retired, but the new owner was there when we were both single! Its a phenomenal experience to feel respected as a customer and these guys do that. They are honest and have been FAR more affordable than the dealership or chain places.Their schedule is full for a reason. Lucky me, Im part of the midtown OG who can get in!

I have been servicing my Lexus at Paul’s for more than two years and I have never been dissapointed. My car is at 160k miles and requiring several large maintenance services but Froylan and Michael always work with me to inform me and assist me with prioritizing services in accordance with what I can afford. I called for a quote to get a simple repair done to my honda. I need a power steering pump replaced and a hose. He quoted me $1277.00 just for a new pump, a flush and a 2yrs warranty included. Pshh. Replacing a new pump isnt an extensive job. I was quoted $320 by one shop. And Ive looked up how a pump is replaced which is a very simple repair. I havent been to this place and im telling you if you dont know what youre getting yourseld into you will be extremely overcharged and breaking the bank. I do not recommend going here to pay unless you have money to waste. Thats not ok to get over on people like that. Oh no.

Best shop in Sacramento. I worked with Mike to diagnose a brake issue that two other shops could not figure out. Mike is the real deal. I had (new) brake work done a few months back at a different shop and shortly after a crazy noise started coming from the drivers side front wheel. Other shops told me I had to replace the entirety of my front brakes to get rid of a strange metallic grind noise.Mike figured it out in the course of an hour while showing his new technician some tips. Great honest crew. I take my vehicle to them and always know they are going to take good care of me.

They looked at my car right away, told me the sad news and even put up with my questions.

Once again Mike and crew come through. My 1968 Camaro was making some noises and needed the clutch replaced. They fixed that problem and also fixed a few small problems I had on there own time. This shop has alot of years of knowledge awesome customer service and more than reasonable prices.
