What a fantastic day today (9/16/2021). I passed my private pilot check ride. What an accomplishment, but it came with a lot of stress and frustration. However, If you want to fly safe, fly right, and fly with standards, JetEXE Aviation is the perfect learning environment. The owner takes pride in his school and encourages perfection and professionalism from the staff.I had the pleasure of working with several CFIs during my training. Each CFI possessed unique qualities, which contributed to my success. However, Christopher Peter was my final CFI who stayed late and responded to my text messages regarding aviation concerns. Lastly, I could not end this review without thanking the mechanics for keeping the airplanes operational and safe for flying.Simply put, JetEXE Aviation is responsible for making a lifelong dream come true.Thank you,James
Wow, had my first solo flight on Wednesday! What an incredible experience! Antione, my instructor is superb, very experienced and very high standards, which I really appreciate! That makes me a better pilot. Excellent training school probably in the country.
CHRISTOPHER was absolutely awesome! He made someone’s first airplane experience in 8 years feel like he’s never missed a year. Very knowledgeable and felt SUPER COMFORTABLE in his hands! If you are even thinking at all about becoming a pilot I would highly recommend Christopher and JetEXE Aviation.
I gifted my boyfriend a flight lesson and the staff was amazing. Augustine the owner spoke with us and gave us a tour. Our pilot Christopher Peter is very knowledgeable and I was very satisfied with everything. I will be booking a session for my son soon. Don’t wait, try this place out soon!!
I bought for my husband’s birthday the introductory flight. Customer service was absolutely amazing. They made a tour through their facility and our pilot, Steven, was so knowledgeable and great to fly with! I definitely recommend this place and looking forward my husband get his flight certificate in the future 😍
My son earned his private pilot certificate today after training at this school.l give this flight school very high marks. Im a 767 captain at a major airline and sent my son here for his private pilot training. The skills you learn to become a private pilot are very important to be a good aviator. He was correctly trained how to fly.The school was very accommodating and friendly. The instructors here are very knowledgeable and come from experienced backgrounds. The aircraft are well maintained kept up to date with all required inspections. They have their own maintenance facility at the school as well.I would recommend this school if you want to learn how to fly.Its in a great location, at a great airport with friendly controllers, with welcoming staff and talented instructors. Hard to beat.
Great Flight School. I flew with Steven for a discovery flight, incredibly knowledgeable instructor not just on aircraft operations but the overall airline industry. Highly recommend anyone whose thinking of aviation regardless if it’s just a private pilot license or a career in commercial aviation.
A culture of excellence, professionalism, and enthusiasm. JetEXE is where aviation dreams come true.
I conducted most of my flight training at JetEXE and have been renting aircraft from them for about a year now. I have had a great experience with both. My flight instructor, Mason, was both professional and fun to fly with. He was very patient (and brave) letting me do nearly all the flying from our first lesson. The owner, Augustine, is very committed to safety and runs his own maintenance shop. The aircraft are always maintained on schedule, and there are rarely maintenance issues. With multiple models of each aircraft, I havent had a flight cancelled due to maintenance yet.
Great flight school, all instructors are very knowledgeable an convey their information to you well. Augustine is very hands on with his cfis, students an mechanics. The aircraft are maintained very well. Nothing but positive things to say. I recommend them to anyone looking to pursue an aviation career.
Got my ppl here. My flight instructor was great and the fleet was very nice and available. However, paying 160$ an hour for a c172 is way too high. They are from the late 90s, but youre definitely paying a premium for the fuel injection.
I am a 25 year, 5500 hour Commercial Helicopter Pilot and I decided to obtain my fixed wing private pilot certificate. I decided to train with JetExe at KSAC and my instructor was Robert Lemmon. The training Robert provided was excellent. He is patient, knowledgeable and very skilled and I count myself lucky that he was delayed in his Airline training due to COVID, consequently he is working at JetExe until COVID allows him to return to his training. The aircraft at JetExe are in excellent condition and the entire cadre of instructors are very helpful, friendly and gregarious. I would recommend this flight school to anyone wanting an airplane rating. As I was already a helicopter pilot, Robert had to adjust his teaching style to adjust to the aviation knowledge I had and that which was lacking for fixed wing aircraft. He was able to instruct seamlessly and brought me to the skill level necessary to earn my “fixed” wings. Thanks for everything JetExe.
I recently completed my private pilot license with JetEXE and would readily recommend this outfit to prospective students.Scheduling is straightforward but some initiative is required to get flight time booked out ahead a bit. The school has several excellent trainers and CFIs but that still doesnt allow for a laissez faire attitude towards it. The front-office staff, Venus and Chris especially, are extremely helpful and enthusiastic and both are fountains of knowledge and experience. The maintenance staff is always around if youve got a question or spot something during a pre-flight. Fleet availability is certainly as high as it is due to these hard working folks and Ive always appreciated that they take our occasional squawks seriously and keep us in the loop on what they found or fixed.I was fortunate enough to fly with several JetEXE CFIs over the course of my PPL (Brad, Cody, Justin, Ty, Rene, Mark) and while I had a primary instructor, I found the different viewpoints very valuable. Some of this was my choice and some of it was by necessity due to scheduling and the 141 program. Near the end of my initial training Ty came on board and has been a pleasure to fly with. One doesnt often happen across individuals of such quiet competence but Ty is one of them; great guy to fly with. Between Ty and Augustine one can gain a real appreciation for aviation and how its conducted safely in a multitude of flight regimes and situations. Its wonderful being around so many folks that know their craft and respect it.
I got this introduction flight as a present for my significant other who has always had a dream of flying a plane, not just being a passenger. I could not have been happier with the experience. I did not choose to go with during the flight due to being 8 months pregnant but my significant other could not stop talking about his experience! He is not one to show ANY excitement when he is happy, the most you can get is a grunt and a 2 word response but he would not stop talking about what they did on the plane, where they went, how great of a job he did flying, and how great of a teacher his pilot was. Of course now, he wants a plane and his pilots certification and im half thinking I started a very expensive hobby for him. Definitely will be coming back before the end of this 2020 year. And will be asking to fly with Anthony again!
This was the best experience ever. The flight instructor was really nice and friendly. They had great service, money was worth it, definitely gonna go back to get my pilots license
Awesome school..Agustine is very helpful and really knows his stuff. Staff is super helpful. Hat off to Nick Foremanfor awesome lessons
Best flight instruction in town!! I just passed my checkride and thanks to my instructor Mason and the rest of the staff, Im now a Private Pilot. Augustine and his staff have been amazing throughout my entire journey. Everybody at JetExe treats you like family. From the front desk, to the mechanics and all the instructors. Super friendly atmosphere and everyone is interested in making your training the best it can be. I cant forget to mention the aircraft are the best maintained training aircraft in town. Look up Repair Station Operators (Part 145) and if your flight school isnt one, walk away. Special shout out the Flight Instructors Kevin and Nick.
I recently earned my sport pilot certificate after training with these guys. My experience with them could not have been better. I worked with two instructors, Steven and Nic. Both instructors were extremely helpful and tought me everything I needed to know for my checkride and more. These guys really know what theyre doing. They know how to prepare you for any surprises that may come in a pilot checkride. All of the staff members at the school are very kind and helpful. When I decided to begin my training with this school I literally showed up in the front office one day not really knowing what to expect. That afternoon I was flying the traffic pattern at Sacramento Executive Airport. It was truly an amazing experience!
Sacha is wonderful! Patient and pleasant. This jet lesson is a wonderful and fun experience. My husband and I both liked this experience very much. Definitely recommend.
I booked an Introductory Flight Lesson and let me tell you the experience was incredible. The staff is very friendly and professional. Augustine and my pilot Mason welcomed me in. Highly recommend taking a flight course with JetEXE Aviation. You won’t regret it.
I normally don’t write reviews but after having an amazing experience at Jetexe flight training in Sacramento I was compelled to share it with others. After looking around at other flight schools, I found that Augustine (owner) was passionate about training and knew I found the right place. He is extremely knowledgeable but more importantly he’s an staunch advocate for pilot safety and sharing the magic of this amazing hobby / profession. I was sure I was too old to start pursuing this but they made it easy and worked without my busy schedule.I had the pleasure to train with several instructors (Cody, Sacha and Mason) each with their own style and approach to training; but absolutely amazing with the highest levels of professionalism and knowledge. They all knew their stuff, were supportive and helped me through everything. I never felt that was on my own to figure it out.Lastly what good would a flight school be without their support staff? Their maintenance team was absolutely top notch and kept their planes ready for lessons and the office staff was always professional, available and supportive of all our needs.Without question I would recommend the entire JetExe team for any flight training. Thanks everyone and look forward to continuing my education with them.
I took a Discovery Flight with my son and a friend who are both special need boys. JetEXE and their staff were so accommodating. They allowed us to sample the simulator, which is an awesome piece of technology. Our pilot explained step by step the proper procedures and all the flying safety requirements. He also took the time to let the boys enjoy feeling like they were part of the operation by doing small things like untying the aircraft and pointing out all the parts of the aircraft on walk around inspection. Anyone considering flying MUST consider JetEXE. And by the way, the first thing you realize upon arrival in the lobby is how clean and neat the place is. Even the repair shop was spotless. Do yourself a favor. Before you visit a hundred flight schools, visit JetEXE at Sacramento Executive Airport first. Our flight experience was great.
If you want to train in a bag of bolts that is held together with duct tape and zip ties Advanced Aviation Academy is NOT the place for you. Imagine smoothly applying power, rolling down the runway, rotating, climbing ... only to have your seat slide to the back of the airplane (do not laugh; it happened to me at another school). The airplanes at Advanced Aviation Academy are newer and well maintained. The owner of the business has a heart-felt concern for the safety of his students. You will pay a little more at Advanced Aviation Academy, but you’re safety is worth it. Online scheduling is easy and efficient. The font desk staff, Venus, Chris, and Cathleen, are friendly and helpful. The gem of the school is instructor Ty Powell. Ty has nearly 10,000 hours of flight time and is a professional instructor who is not instructing as a stepping stone to the airlines. Most instructors who are qualified to instruct instrument and commercial students are not interested in instructing new students, but Ty instructed me. Ty is good at communicating concepts. Ty has genuine empathy for his students and he does not demean students for not understanding or being able to perform maneuvers which are extremely rare qualities in flight instructors. If you can get Ty for your training, you are lucky.Chris BrocchiniRecent Private Pilot
I had a demo flight last week which is fantastic experience from pre flight check list to landing. My instructor, Mason even had me take control of the plane in the mid air. i am looking forward to my next flight.
I took an introductory flying lesson from Augustine! He was very professional, encouraging, knowledgeable and fun. The staff were all professional and courteous! It is very affordable and they have many options to choose from! I would recommend JetEXE if you just want to take a lesson for fun or get your license. I plan on returning!
Fantastic school. Staff is really friendly and treats everyone with compassion. Whichever pilot rating you are going for this is the school for you. I recommend coming in and talking to either Venus or Chris at the front desk about pricing and to look at the planes and simulators. Training is thorough and has operating procedures beyond what is taught at other schools which means safer pilots. This school has a maintenance facility which means low downtime for repairs and required inspections.
I am very impressed with the training I have received so far for my private pilots license. This is not your average flight school, dont come here if you are not willing to take your training seriously and work hard. You will be a better pilot if you do. At Jetexe, they take their motto of Creating Future Airline Captains seriously. I will be doing all of my training from private to CFI here.
My wife surprised me for my birthday and booked a flight with Augustine. What a blast. He was funny and made this one of the best days ever. Thank you Augustine.
Why is there not 6 stars here?? I had the most amazing experience working with the staff at JetExe, clean maintenance facility, clean aircraft. By far the most professional staff I have ever had the opportunity to work with, I would highly recommend them to anyone.
I recently got my PPL through @JetEXE aka Advanced International Aviation Academy. I had a pleasant experience, booking my lessons were seamless and the school went an extra mile in helping as i had less than three months between getting all my hours plus the check ride. My instructor was Jim Smith and i learned a lot from him. Ty and Augustine, thank you for the advice. Definitely a good school to get your flight training done, Will be returning for my IFR and CPL.
Hey fellowsI just wanted to share my the best experience at jetEXE aviation with you all, who is more interested to find a perfect place to earn skills for being a real pilot.I started my flight courses at ATP flight school on October 2017. The program by itself was about $70,000 and the only option that I had was to apply for loan from Wells Fargo. It took me almost 6 month to get done with all trainings hours for privet certificate and ended up with two times checkride failure...Too many delays on flight schedule, not a good educated instructor were two main reasons of my checkride failure.I went to the jetEXE for rest of training and I met Mr.Augustine. I told him my history and he just simply said “Don’t worry I will help you get your license in less than 10 hours flight “.He only asked for$500 down and for the rest of money I only had to pay after each flight and I just used that $500 for my last two flight. After talking to him I was introduced to my new instructor Mr. Jim smith and I began next day after. Now I am a private pilot and I can fly with no any issues, and this could not be done without their help. God bless you all and I really appreciate you.My dear instructor thanks for being so patient, I will never forget your name for rest of my life.Mr. Augustine, I really appreciate you and thank to all other instructors.
I am pilot who had been away from aviation for over 28 years. My pilot licences had expired and I came to Advanced International Aviation Academy / JetEXE to get recurrenttraining and reinstate my CFI /Flight Instructor ratings. I am also an Airline Transport rated pilot. I researched all of the schools in the Northern California area and was totally impressed with this school. The owner is a highly experienced ex- Air Force pilot, a retired Wing Commander from the Indian Airforce. Augustine’s approach, is to train future Airline Captains, not just private pilots. The training is highly structured and combines the requirements of military pilot training in the aspectof learning standard operating procedures, aircraft systems and limitations, and emergency procedures along with all of the other important topics . All of the instructors, even the experienced ones are required to go through an intense new-hire indoctrination and Instructional training to be brought up to the standards of the school and must be certified by the chief pilot to instruct under PART 141& 61. In addition to this, the airplanes are meticulously maintained in a FAA PART145 repair station. The maintenance crew are very helpful and knowledgeable. I have seen many schools in my time and nothing can touch or come close to the quality and standards of aircraft & training that’s happening right here in Sacramento at AIA Academy.Everyone at this school is very friendly and helpful. They will go out of their way to get your training done efficiently and fast or help you with any training needs. Chris & Venus run the front operations like a charm. They will even help you customize your training to suit your learning speed, schedules and abilities. Great training Fleet, facilities & Flight simulators. No school that I have been to or seen in over 35 years of aviation have such high quality equipment for training.Being that I had been away from aviation for such a long time, my general aviation knowledge was very low and it took me a few months of study to get the knowledge portion back up to speed. Augustine, the owner, knew exactly what I needed to get me back into shape flying. By prescribing me the right combination of ground training, use of SOPs for the flying part, assigning me the right flight instructor ( Ty), I was able to pass my CFII reinstatement check ride with only 5.2 hours of flight training over 4 evenings prior to the check ride, after not having flown a plane in over 28 years. This definitely would not have happened anywhere else.
Very friendly and Excellent in Service. The Best Place to fly out of KSAC!
Very surprised to see that none of these previous reviews are from students - If youre a student, please dont do what I did...I went to Jetexe a short while ago, interested in a aviation career. The owner, Augustine, was seemingly very generous with the time he spent speaking with me about the school and why he thought commercial aviation was suitable for me.He spoke poorly of other schools safety ratings, spoke of his excellent instructors, etc..Initially, he was very pushy and told me You either start today or youll never go through with it, which I declined. After much contemplation, I decided I was willing to give Jetexe a try for flight training.. That was a horrible mistake...I called to schedule with an instructor a few weeks after my initial meeting with Augustine, and I was told I needed to be there in-person for my first scheduling - I was also told to bring a check. After arrival, I was told I needed to put a down payment on my account before I could schedule with an instructor. I would of liked to put a few hundred down, but Augustine had a minimum of $1,000 and was persistent in me placing $5,000 on the account.I ended up putting down an obscene amount of money on my account after being told I could start training that week.I called many times throughout that week.. That week turned into multiple weeks, then months. I called about getting my deposit back, and was told it was non-refundable.At the time, the single instructor available had very limited availability and was focused on finishing his students then ending his flight training career.During this waiting period, I would head down to the flight school to study and ask questions. Augustine would sometimes invite me into his office to talk, or take me out the plane to go over the instruments. Little did I know I was being charged by Augustine for his training - I simply thought he was being generous. Sometimes it would be $150 for a rather short, 20 minute conversation.I ended up being tossed about between six different instructors during my time at Jetexe. Between each instructor was multiple months of twiddling my thumbs, it unmotivated me very quickly and it felt like I was going backwards more than I was progressing.Occasionally, I would go up with Augustine and he would provide training.. Little did I know, he was completely unqualified and I had to remove those flights from my logbook due to the fact that they were illegal. At one time, I had a decent instructor whom was quite knowledgeable.. Sadly he left after a short time due to the fact that the commute costed more than what he was getting paid.A lot of the instructors I did not feel comfortable with at all, one in particularly would be on his phone while I flying the aircraft.. Even during takeoff and landing. Many instructors would have no objective when we would fly, and would have to think of tasks for me on the spot. A lot of milk runs...During my last waiting period, I couldnt stand it anymore..I experienced multiple issues the 172, which was usually the only aircraft that was airworthy. I had two alternator failures, no lights on the panel, only one working VOR, etc.. The fact that they do in-house repairs worried me, and I did not feel safe. I always thought of how corners might be cut to save funds. There was always an excuse on why Augustine wasnt able to find an instructor, usually he would tell me Theyre just not good enough... I take that very hard to believe.I spoke with a few flight instructors at that school, as well as many students and realized I ended up making a huge mistake by attempting my flight training at Jetexe. After leaving the school, I promptly got my PPL elsewhere without issue.I really hope that my experience will help those of you whom are just starting out in aviation. Please dont make the mistake that I did.Do your research on what make a good flight school, trust your instincts, etc..Good luck!
Top of the line flight instructors and aircrafts. Great flight school.
I have recently began training at jetexe aviation here at Sacramento executive. Prior to flying at jetexe I was doing my flight training at another 141 school that unfortunately fell into hard times and whent bankrupt shortly after beginning my instrument training. Had this not happened I would never have found Jetexe, one of the best schools in terms of safety, value, and customer service. From day one the staff treated me not only as a pilot but as a customer as well. I could not recommend a better place than jetexe for flight training. Every aircraft is meticulously maintained to the highest standards. The CEO Augustine has a true passion for flight instruction and this shows in the flight instructors he hires.
Clean exciting
It is a super large place, with many airplanes and many nice people who help you and show you the facilities so that you can start your practices there, it is a super beautiful place and when the people there you see that they are super nice and very people. prepared that they are willing to help you achieve your goals as far as aviation is concerned, and the prices are quite good. The truth seems to me very affordable. It would be worth going there.
