Ive been a customer of Anderson Insurance customer for 25 years. I had to file my first homeowner claim on April 25th of this year after a tree fell on the corner of my house. Ive had nothing but problems since then. I was assigned a claims agent who is chronically unresponsive. I have reached out using multiple methods (text, call, updates on case). I get no responses for days or even weeks at a time. I have escalated with the main office multiple times, and even asked for a different claim agent to be assigned. We are currently over 3 months in with no sign that our roof will be fixed any time soon. I cannot currently recommend this company based on my experience.

I am giving 2 stars because of Nationwide, not because of the Anderson branch. Clay and Leon Anderson are very nice agents to work with. Very personable and friendly. I am giving 2 stars because we purchased the homeowners and car insurance in December of 2016, we live 5 miles from the Atkins fire department with a fire protection class of 3. The next year, however, we somehow live 6 miles from the fire department with a fire protection class of 10w. This caused my premium to increase nearly 50%. I spoke with the Atkins fire department and they had not changed their protection class, it is the same. There was nothing that Anderson Insurance could do to change it back to a class 3. An increase like that caused our mortgage payment to go up 21%. This happened to us without any notice. It was very frustrating. We left Nationwide because of this action on us.
