This location is a commercial recycling site but will recycle residential/business paper and cardboard, which can be dropped off via the front lobby on E. Hudson. There is a bin at the gate on E. Hudson which will also take metals, however, if you are looking to get paid for scrap metal, best to go to a scrap yard, as this site location no longer pays for scrap metal.

One of the staff was very helpful. You can drop off your recyclable materials easily.

GFL is our recycling co. for the City of Royal Oak. This morning, for the first time since Ive lived here, I heard the truck on our street and realized that I did not put the bin out. They had finished our side of the street and were starting on the opposite side when I dragged it to the curb. I had the following conversation w/the recycling professional while standing at said curb, with my hand on the bin handle. When he was RIGHT ACROSS THE STREET - 6 feet away from me. Me: Sorry! I was late today. RP: I already did that side. Me: Um. Well, can you take it, please? RP: I told you. I already did that side. (moves one house down.) Me (in disbelief): Well, can I bring it OVER TO THAT SIDE, please? RP: Nope. Call the city. Who DOES that? SMH. Nice customer service, guys.

They continuously fail to pick up recycling on the scheduled date. Then you call them to schedule another pickup and they promise to send out another truck but it never comes.

I work for a business in warren this company has missed numerous pick ups and for the 3 months we were closed due to corona virus we still got billed and nothing was picked up i have been battling with them since 11/2019 to get our account right never get call back have sent emails and left messages and nothing but they still bill us now i get a call from a collection agency instead of gfl worst company ever maybe this will get someones attention and get a call back the business act# is 001718003 and matt our account rep is a joke

I went there to drop off paper and none of the staff was not wearing a face mask.

Got there to pick up a load. Waited there for about two hours. Its a cluster F inside the yard. Theres a bunch of yard tools trying to tell the trucks what to do. Was told they didnt have my load and to come back tomorrow. So Im trying to figure out from dispatch what they want me to do but some idiot who barely speaks English tells me I have to leave because they are closing the gate. His company screws up my load then kicks me out. Terrible place to go for loads. A bunch of work visas on a power trip. Hope my company never sends me there again.

So Ive been to a few recycle places (Lansing, Haslett, Troy). They have bins where you can put your paper, plastic, etc. I went to this place for the first time because it was closer. One of their patrons outside was showed me where the entrance was and told me to ask for a bin. ..but when I get in there and ask the guy for a bin, he asks me if I have everything separated. When I say no he then tells me to go home, separate everything and come back. Why couldnt that have been done on site? Im sticking with SOCCRA

I havent been there yet but based on the comments about this place I need to get in and get out. My company has me dispatched to go to this dump.

Other than the place being full of trucks and hard to get around, was loaded in 30 minutes and out of there.
