How do you expect people who work during the week to be able to shop your stores. NOT OPEN ON SATURDAYS?????RIDICULOUS!!!!!!
The staff is very friendly and helpful when I was there I lost my drivers license and when I call him there was look like a emergency they have on they call me back again, finally I found it, oh my god they was so great.
The Staff is nice.. They seem to have everything, but can be kinda pricey.
They definitely can use more staff so that you can get in and out a little bit quicker because at times it takes quite a while just to get hospital supplies or wound care items. Other than that, they do a good job! 😷
Please DO NOT use Binson’s for any ordering of special equipment such as wheelchairs, beds, bathroom safety equipment. I have never experienced such poor customer service. When you need equipment like this it is obviously a serious situation; not like you’re ordering a pair of pants. First they put you on hold for a long time ie one hour, you give them info expecting a call back. No one calls. You call again only to be put on hold. This next representative was helpful. Took my credit card and emailed me invoice. (His script came in to them for Medicare but they did not reimburse me. ) I called her the next day to confirm delivery. No response. No one from delivery called either to confirm and I was told they would between 9:30-10:00am. Called main number again, put on hold and spoke to a third representative who recognized my complete panic. Said she talked to Supervisor and my items were on the truck. John called me at a Noon said he would be there by 6:00pm. He arrived and one of the items was missing. He had an incorrect invoice. My husband could not come home from hospital without this third item. He said he would deliver the item the next morning only to show up with something that wasn’t what I ordered and didn’t work. John was trying to be helpful. My son had to drive 20 miles to purchase it at another company one hour before they released my husband. No one from Binson’s has called to apologize, provide reimbursement- nothing. The entire process was a debacle. Do not use them.
I am not sure why I put off getting my CPAP. Well, looking back at when I took the sleep test, it was almost a year before I said, ok, I am getting it. Not really sure why I drug my feet on getting it. But here we are.I am giving only three stars, and here is why. When I called to set up the appointment to get it, I would talk to the operator, and she would transfer me to the store. Unfortunately, it would ring and ring and ring and then hang up on you. Super annoying. I then had to call back, and it happened two more times. Finally, the fourth time the receptionist said she was going to transfer me to a different place.She said they could set up the appointment for the Royal Oak location.I got my appointment set up.So the lady who helped me out, and I am sorry I forgot her name, I tried looking at all the paperwork that I got. The person name who generated my paperwork is not the same person that helped me.She was accommodating in explaining everything to me. Answered all my questions and recommended getting baby wipes to wipe down the mask every morning. she also pointed out that I needed to get distilled water.Other than the phone issue trying to set up everything. My actual appointment was a very positive experience.
I called Binsons respiratory Department on 01/25/2021 and spoke to Robert at the Royal Oak, MI location. I informed him that I have a travel Cpap that was giving me an error message. I had already contacted the manufacturer as this is not an insurance covered item. In speaking to the manufacturer customer relations they informed me my equipment was under the 3 year warranty and that all the store had to do was a warranty exchange. In speaking to Robert, he was first very abrasive and derogatory in attitude and tone. I informed him of what was shared with me by the manufacturer he stated he never heard of that and he was not going to give me anything . He also stated the my warrany had expired which was not true. I then contacted Binson Corporate office to report Roberts disrespectful tone and his lack of professionalism displayed within this call. I was assured that my concerns would be addressed. I then received a follow up call from Robert and asked if I an come in 01/28/2021 for an appointment to do my manufacturer warranty exchange. I confirmed the appoitment when arriving there was a podium with a sign to sign in. After 10 min and not being approached, I went to another department and they said he may be in with another customer. He was not, he and his co-worker were having a personal conversation as I could hear them due to proximity. The receptionist went to tell him I was there, his response was, who is it and what do they want? His collegue came to tell me that I can come back to his office. I was presented with a open box with all items listed on the box as contents not present in the box . As I addressed him regarding my concerns about missing items, he said that this is a swap he is not obligated to give me everything packaged in the box. As he raised his voice and huffed and puffed he grabbed an item that should have been included in the box out of his desk and tossed it to me. I brought to his attention again two other items that were not present. He reminded me again that I was not entilted to the items but he will do me a favor and proceeded to go to inventory and bring me 2 more items and toss them across the desk to me. I am apauled that he is allowed to represent the Binsons brand and customer service. Im fully disappointed on the level of service received and resolve that I can no longer utilize the company if this is the representation of expected culture of service that is allowed to be dispalyed.
Staff is rude on the phone and they do not even know which products they carry, just give you brand names but not the actual models or types of product. Then they hang up on you. Definitely wont be buying from here.
Worst experience I have ever had. I went in to ask a simple question about a Nasal gel for use with CPAP machine and no one can apparently help me. I was told to sign in and and then employees just stared at me. Younger blonde women behind the orthotics & prosthetics desk was super rude when questions were asked. I’m sorry that I’m unfamiliar with how your store works, excuse me for asking for help. If you want a HORRIBLE experience then please go to Binsons on Woodward in Royal Oak. I’d rather drive miles out of my way to go elsewhere.
I needed a thumbspica brace my insurance was giving me the Blues the ladies stepped right in and helped me out. I would give them a 10 if I could.
The only reason they do not get 5 stars is because they are not great at getting back to you in a timely manner. You kind of have to keep calling them - which is absolutely annoying. However, whenever I have called with a question or gone in, the staff has been more than helpful. They take their time with you so that the purchase you make is the right one. I was stopped from buying the wrong product and measured for accurate sizing for a knee brace just yesterday. Overall a good experience both yesterday and the other 3 times I have been in over the last month.
The staff does the very best they can for the customer. Unfortunately, I would assume management doesnt make sure there is adequate staffing to handle the business they have within some departments. If you need to call with equipment problems, plan on waiting on hold for minimum of 30 minutes, that has been my experience.
Tried calling to see if they were open on Saturdays but couldnt. Checked on line about being open on Saturdays,. Yelp and Google said until 1:00. But they were closed. Telephone number does have an option to just check hours. Lost my business for now.

Hope to never have to return again. For months I had purchased supplies needed for a family member with a doctors order that included a diagnoses code. Was told last week when I went in for a refill that the diagnoses code was not correct and supplies would not be covered. Apparently staff are not knowledgeable about appropriate insurance billing.
I absolutely LOVE Binsons in Royal Oak. I am helping to take care of my sister who recently had to have a colostomy. We have been struggling with getting the proper supplies and a myriad of other issues. When I went it to Binsons to purchase more supplies, a woman named DEBBIE assisted me. I was very emotional and sort of crying and she was very kind at talking me through what was needed, and tried to help me the best she could. She even gave me some samples. I felt so much better after leaving there. Customer Service at its finest...and I should know...I run a lab! Thank you!!!Just wanted to add that we are using Binsons, Royal Oak, monthly for my sisters colostomy needs. They have our order ready and Im out the door in just a few minutes. Every staff member I have dealt with, have been wonderful! Thank you again!!!!

Its been weeks now waiting on a hospital bed for someone thats not mobile. When I called they said they received the order on the 25th of November. They said that day (10 days later) they needed to fax a paper to the doctor for Insurance. At that point they faxed it but really... Its still not here and took us calling over and over for them to even get to that step. Its a joke. Then they say her insurance dont cover diapers. So after looking in her benefits book from insurance it says they are 100% covered. They dont care to find out. They deliver a broken potty to this same lady that she cant even use yet. 🤦 This place is not trying to do anything and dont really care that she really needs this hospital bed like weeks ago now.
I rarely review but our experience with this business was absolutely horrible. Terrible customer service, poor communication and unbelievable upcharging for products. I found the identical wheelchair online for several hundred dollars less than they wanted to absurdly charge. The best decision I made was finally walking out of the store before agreeing to purchase anything.
I called a different location to see if they accept my insurance and gave them the information and they said yes. I went to this location to pick up a leg scooter and they told me my insurance did not cover it basically without even looking at my card just asking the name of the insurance. The lady was not helpful at all and really act like she really did not want to help. I called my insurance company to confirm and they told me they are in network and its covered at 100%. Recommended by my doctor to have no weight bearing on my foot so she caused me more unnecessary walking and stress. Good customer service is so hard to find these days.
Garbage experience. Show up to pick up a piece of equipment, and its out of stock. Understandable, it happens. They tell me to swing by tomorrow when their driver delivers more stock. Check in before driving over, and our driver didnt show up, which never happens! and theyre not sure when theyll get a fresh supply.Beaumont Medical is up the road. Much smoother experience. Highly recommend.
Michelle and Rick at Binsons were very helpful, pleasant, friendly and knowledgeable to me and my sister yesterday. They both went above to help my sister with her Cam Boot it was at the end of the day we just barely made it there. It is good to see employees who enjoy their job smiling and laughing with you be Bless. I loved their Hospitality I truly have not seen that in a long time give them a Raise Binsons.
I never write reviews so this must had to be bad. Horrible just horrible customer service. The women that work inside the boutique do not know how to do their job. How did they get even a job there 🤦🏽♀️ the manager Davina ordered me the wrong size support hose. I had to wait like 5 months to get the correct size. Idk how she does that. When Ive been ordering from them the correct size for years. They never answer the phone nor return voicemail calls. Or they call back days or so later. I had to call corporate to reach them. This will be the last year I deal with them.

I was looking for a blood pressure monitor for my mother and all the other stores were closed or didnt carry it. The staff at Binsons were very friendly, knowledgeable and helped me get what I was looking for.

Simply the worst customer service I have ever dealt with. I have been trying to get a doctor proscribed appointment with them for 6 weeks. I call and am put on hold to no avail. The rare times I speak to someone, they promise a follow up that never happens. DO NOT USE THEM!!!
I wish i could give less than one star. Never have i dealt with such an incompetent business. OVER a year to get a CPap billed correctly because they never received the faxes. I wish this was a one incident thing but its happened time after time. As soon as my insurance allowed we switched to hart medical. Super fast and so nice to work with. RUN from binsons. They are truly the worst.

Waiting for more than 30 minutes for the purchase of gift certificates. The staffs told me no one can help but the manager. However, the manager kept hiding in his office. What could we do?
Stopped at Lady Binson’s Boutique after delivering my son. The older female was rude. She didn’t greet me, but rather told me to sit down and wait and asked what kind of insurance I had.This place was the closest from the hospital and was on the way home. Had I known the poor customer service I would receive, I would have gladly driven to a farther location.
The worse customer service ever and rude! I could not believe how I was treated. The two people I encountered acted like they were doing me a favor. Really? A customer and I am putting you out? They never faxed my doctor requesting the additional information they needed to fill the prescription. When I made a follow up call to the Royal Oak Binsons phone number it was redirected to a main office downriver somewhere. The lady on the phone was equally as rude when I told her about the fax not sent after 2 days. She said, theres 20 or more people ahead of you and you need to understand we are extremely busy and will get to it. We are doing our best with our limited staff! She could not find my prescription in the system. My prescription is lost and I have to get another one. Without a doubt I will not go back to Binsons. Unfortunately It appears to be all about Binsons owners making a profit and not serving their customers by providing enough help. I actually feel sorry for the staff working under such busy and stressful working conditions.

Returned some equipment bought recently for my mother-in-law. Unfortunately, she passed before being able to use it. The man at the counter managed to insult and demean 3 customers (including myself) within 30 seconds. From the other reviews Ive read, this is typical customer service from this company. I will never darken those doors again and will actively encourage others to follow suit. If you dislike your job so, please find something youre suited for.
Was really worried when reading those bad reviews. This is my second visit here and the staffs are nice. They do require more details in the prescription each time. But I just called my doctors office and get confirmation. They seem busy all the time. So if you are in a hurry for your equipment, I would suggest you visit the office and make the communication more efficient.
This location is unhelpful. No one seems able to answer questions, and the respiratory department is apparently unreachable and no one will speak to you about them. We came in, signed in, and were left for 45 minutes without acknowledgement by any employees, with the exception of everyone saying they arent Respiratory and couldnt help. The same Respiratory employees also dont answer the phone or return phone calls.
After an unsatisfactory visit 0n 13 December 2013 regarding compression socks where the Asst Mgr was of no help, the lady at the womens boutique was able to resolve the problem on her own. Kudos to Miss D for a job well done. Binsons is now back in our good graces thanks to her. Thank you.
Ive had nothing but exceptional service from the Royal Oak Binsons. Had to switch over once MedEquip went under - and am very pleased with the friendly customer service Kelly provided. She gave me her email address when I picked up my CPAP and each time Ive emailed she has responded super quick.

Horrible business ethics. My physician prescribed a roll-a-bout (knee stroller) for my broken foot. The prescription was for 90 days, in which insurance does not cover. On January 11th, I went into Binsons Home Health Care Center, 30475 Woodward Ave, Royal Oak, MI 48073 to rent the roll-a-bout. I paid a required security deposit of $75 then I also paid for one month upfront, which was another $75. On Monday February 20, I turned in the roll-a-bout and they refused to prorate the security deposit stating I was late returning the roll-a-bout. This is poor business ethics. I was not late. Charging someone for 3 weeks of a rental product that they are not using and turned in is ludicrous. Also, the inside of this place is filthy!
On hold for almost 2 hours (1:48:38, to be exact) today. No one ever answered my call. Have had the same experience in previous attempts to speak with the staff there. NOT GOOD CUSTOMER SERVICE!! ZERO STARS!!
Avoid this place. I keep getting suckered in because it is close to home. I always regret because I could have driven another 15 minutes to somewhere with better service and it would have actually saved time.
Great place for medical supplies. I was able to walk in with a prescription and out with my supplies. Other places wanted me to drop off the prescription and come back later to pick up my supplies.

Would never recommend. My wait time on the phone was consistent with other reviewers, typically 15 minutes. I was told I would get a call back regarding the prescription for my type of brace later that evening (after waiting in the store), and didnt receive a call back until 3 days later. The markups here are terrible. They are basically scamming your insurance company. The same exact model brace I received at Binsons priced for $300.00 (billed to my insurance) I could have gotten online for $32 + 5.99 shipping. Excluding shipping charges, this is about an 850% markup. I do understand that companies need to make money but 850% seems a tad bit excessive. In the future I will take the scenic route to Wright & Filippis in Ferndale.
Binsons has the worst phone system I have ever encountered. I have waited an enormous amount of time just to get to a department in Royal Oak. It is absolutely the worst. You first go to a central phone board and wait which takes for ever and then you get transferred to the store and wait and then you wait to go to the department you want.
Zero stars. I got fitted for orthopedic inserts and could never get waited on to pick them up. I moved out of state and they turned my bill into a collection agency. I NEVER GOT THE ITEM AS I COULD NOT GET WAITED ON. Every time I call to discuss the matter, I get a voice mail. How is this possible? Dont go there.
Wow. Talk about rude customer service. Girls at orthotics desk giving dirty looks when you come to the counter asking questions. Only one person working respiratory and wait time ridulous. Communication awful. They make you feel like an inconvenience, isn’t this their job? Customer service classes definitely needed. Organization is seriously lacking. This seems to be a pattern with Binsons as a whole. Centerline office is no better.

That was my first and last time dealing with this place, they don’t care if the patient in need for that medical supplies urgently. My mother had a surgery and she was bleeding all the times, the doctor sent out the prescription to Binson on 05/31/2017 and it was all about the antibiotic gauze only, they made it a big deal every time I should call and ask for that order and they sent the prescription back to the doctor in order to add circle notes on their form which was already in the prescription and if I didn’t call they will keep the prescription there and they made me call the doctor office couple times and to make sure that was done again. As of today 06/12/2017 I didn’t get it. So don’t waste your time dealing with that place. As I said 1st and last time.
This company is great at sales prevention. I was in the area and needed some filters for a CPAP. He Rx from my Dr. in PA had to be faxed, so they had the order in their hand. This was managed with an amount of difficulty. They were called back to alert them to the fact that the order was coming and to inform them of what I needed. I was told that they couldnt service me, until the order came through. I went to Walmart and bought the material to make the filters. Theyre working just fine. Ill be staying in the area for quite some time. Guess who will NOT be filling my CPAP needs.
Robert went above and beyond to take care of my order. I came in unannounced and he fit me in and after p a paperwork and waiting for faxes from my doctor, I was out in less than an hour.
The stores (Binsons Royal Oak) customer service is horrible. The fax machine is often not working properly which makes it impossible to get prescriptions filled in a timely manner. Unfortunately, this is the only place in the area that can fill my prescriptions. If there were another place, I would stop all business with Binsons.

Long holds on the phone - 15 mins minimum - I am going into day 4 trying to get a travel wheelchair that is needed for my mother on Medicare. This is beyond ridiculous - I had to tell both parties to pick up the phone and talk to each other instead of sending papers to each other and the other saying,what was it like I would know. Shipment never arrives in a timely matter, like there is no concern for the patients health, and even when correcting the issue still waiting 10 days for my stuff to arrive.
