Very knowledgeable staff. Very friendly and willing to go the extra mile to find that part for you! If they dont have it they will order it and you will get it the next day or within a couple of days, I say that because most places will tell you a week to 3 weeks! They will explain to you how to get the job done correctly if you are an amateur without making you feel like and amateur! I recommend Berkeley appliance to everyone that needs an appliance part over any other place.

Amazing service parts person not only correctly diagnosed our 8 year old Whirlpool dryers problem but sold us an under $20 part and told my husband how to install it. He was absolutely, positively 100% correct on all counts and I was able to cancel the service call appointment we had scheduled. Will never call anywhere else in the future.

I set an appointment over a week ago for a repair to my dryer. I shared information about what was happening with my dryer. The appointment was book. On the day of the appointment, I get a call from the technician who tells me he cant help me with the repairs AND he doesnt work on appliance located on the 2nd floor of a home. WHAT!!!! This should have been communicated to me when I made the appointment, NOT after I called off, to wait within a 4 hour window for him to show up! NOT COOL!!!!

Weve used Berkley Appliance for a number of jobs--big and small-- at our house and at a rental house. Theyre responsive, do great work, and their prices are fair. Most recently we had them look at the control panel on our electric range. They could have sold us on an expensive repair, but suggested we just get a new range. Ended up paying a reasonable price for the service call--and the advice. Very impressed.

Hired them for a whirlpool stove repair. They were very professional and very reasonable. They ordered the part and came back to finalize repair when promised. I do recommend.

Had them out to repair My washer, tech was very helpful and honest in telling me it didn’t need repair he just needed to calibrate it and it should be fine. I appreciate the fact they didn’t just replace a part that wasn’t broken and charge me for it. Patrick the technician was very helpful and knowledgeable and I appreciated his honesty. Would recommend them and will call them for all future work we need!

I was waiting on a part that I ordered online that was delayed, so I checked with Berkley Appliance who not only had it in stock, but it was cheaper than online and they were able to help me wire it correctly before I left. Awesome service overall.

Was told they would be there at noon. Did not show up untill almost 3 pm. Tech looked lost and confused trying to find the leak. Took him almost 2 hours to find the leak just to say they have to order the part.

Amazing customer service!!!! They had the rubber things ( I think called dogs) that I needed to fix my washing machine agitator. I came in with questions on how to take it apart. The guy there told me to bring it in.. he replaced it for me!!! He was extremely helpful! My whole experience was wonderful. Cheap, friendly, & very helpful. He didn’t have to take it apart and replace the part I bought, but he did! I wish I had the names of the lady & gentleman who helped me, they are awesome! 👍 highly recommend them!

I loved being able to schedule a visit for my washer over their website, the times offered were reasonable- Patrick showed up in the earlier half of the estimated time, was in/out within 40 min. Most of the time was spent discussing the issue where he gave me more of an educational background on what it was that was wrong.I really appreciated him talking to me in an honest manner and being realistic as well as cost conscious for what needed to be done. Very professional, courteous and I am more than happy to use them in the future to diagnose issues even if it’s a $59 service call (also reasonable.. I mean taking time out to to come and diagnose- you’re paying for experience/knowledge and that’s worth something)Previously used them to fix my gas stove/oven 10 years ago that’s still working well. Definitely support a local business!

We’ve been a customer for many many years. Berkley Appliance has trouble shot with us over the phone MANY times. They have nailed it right, first time, every time. Always great customer service.

Positives;-Tech was friendly and says he had 20 years experience. He was understanding when i said i would fix myself.-It cost $59 to have the tech come to my house and diagnose the issue. This is cheaper than some of the other repair shops around and is locally owned.Negatives;The diagnosis process mostly consisted of the tech googling the issue. Something I had already done well before I called in the experts. The issues he found were the exact same that I tried to fix. He did call his expert but he wasnt able to figure it out either. While he was there I did some more searching and found a similar situation to what i was having and how they solved it. I suggested that solution and he said thats probably what it was. He said he confirmed it but that no one regularly has that part number and it would take time to get in stock. (it turns out the company changed the part number which I confirmed with the manufacturer).I was then quoted $350 to fix it ($140 for the part $210 for labor and visit). A quick search allowed me find a video on how exactly to replace the part.If this fixes the issue the total time to repair will be 5-10 mins. Now i just need the part to come in (which I found to be around $80-100)

I had Berkley Appliance Repair come out to fix my Washer because the Washers agitator was not rotating. It was easy to contact a live person to schedule the repair. Patrick, the repair person, came out to the house within the time window I was given and he was able to fix my washer within 20 minutes and for less than $150.00 total. Additionally Patrick is a nice guy. Based on my positive experience with Berkley repair I would recommend them to family and friends.

Called yesterday to have broken washing machine looked at. Jason came today, right on time.He was friendly, knowledgeable, patient, and very helpful...answered all my questions. Cost was VERY reasonable. Could not be more satisfied with everything, from the time I first called to the time Jason finished. Outstanding! Impressive!

If youre looking for an honest local business, Im afraid that Berkley Appliance is simply not it.They quoted me $200 for a dishwasher installation over the phone plus an additional $59 service call charge to look at a problem with my fridge. These prices already seemed a bit expensive to me, but being a Berkley resident I wanted to support a local shop. What I ended up having to pay them instead was $250 for the installation of the dishwasher, $89 for the service call on the dishwasher, $25 for the service call on the fridge and an additional $59 for the 15 minutes of labor to fix it. In total, thats $423 for about an hour and a half of just labor.The technician, Justin, simply said that I must have heard wrong when I tried to dispute the service call charges compared to what I was told over the phone. He was also telling me that somehow this particular dishwasher installation job was uniquely difficult and necessitated the additional charge, but looking back I honestly dont believe that. An old dishwasher was pulled out, and a new one put in, using the existing hook-ups with maybe a new water line (included in original quote).Im not sure if their phone department is giving idealistic and incomplete quotes, or maybe the tech saw an opportunity to rip off a relatively new naive home owner. Regardless, this was a bit of a lesson for me, and hopefully for you as well.

Great and quick service. My refrigerator was leaking, called Berkley Appliance and they came a few hours later. The workman quickly identified the problem, told me the price, and got the parts from his van. I am very impressed at how quickly they came to my house and fixed the issue. They have the best customer service. I called today looking for a part I couldnt find anywhere. Other places Ive called seemed so impatient and annoyed. When calling here I recieved the exact opposite. The lady that answered was very friendly and helpful. I went to them in the past and remember recieving the same service. The parts I needed on both visits are very uncommon. Pleased to say they had exactly what I needed both visits.

My Whirpool washer stopped spinning last week. I called Berkley appliances and scheduled my appointment with a very friendly lady customer service rep. We had to reschedule the appointment due to severe winter storm and emergency road conditions. But the first available business day Justin arrived, checked the washer and replaced a switch . The service was fast and professional at the fair price. I would recommend Berkley appliances.

My repairman, Paul, arrived on time and figured out a difficult problem. I had another company try and they failed to diagnose my washer. But Paul from Berkley kept at it and when he was stumped he phoned a friend and got the job done! Case closed and minimal damage. Just the $59 service charge and no parts needed! I called around for my mother to see if we could get her whirlpool washer repaired or if it was even worth repairing as in if most of the parts were high priced 3 or 4 hundred dollars it would not be worth paying. well the lady who answered the phone was not very friendly and simple went by her script of 65$ to come out plus parts and job fee to install the parts. so it seemed like they could repair the washer and dryer without and issues after it was diagnosed. we had the model number lhw0050pq4 and serial number ready to give berkley; they had no interest in it even though i said i could give it to them. it seems this company just wants to collect there 65$ show up fee. as in they charge 65$ just to come look at your washer and it does not go towards anything else. (I get charged less for a full price office visit at the doctors office.) i found out after they told us they could not fix the washer that berkely only sources parts from 4 places even though the internet is abundant with parts. berkley claimed only the four sources they get parts from were reliable, which is ridiculous. needless to say half of the parts for the washer were not available, which they could have took a few minutes to look up the washer by the model number and told us that up front; we would have never had them come out in the first place. they are also biased to ge and whirlpool since they are not chinese companies even thought most of the parts for those brands are made in you guessed it china or not the usa. plus everyone needs to make a living. and samsung is korean. also on the internet samsung and lg get the best ratings surpassing whirlpool and ge. my mom said that paul was friendly and evan who i talked to get more information on why they could not repair it was as well. too bad they are just into taking your money, even from a retired senior citizen.

I will never deal with this place again. Their technician Justin thinks hes an expert on everything and diagnoses issues without even looking at the appliance. He told consumers that both my appliances were unrepairable. They can save themselves the trouble of even putting him a car as he is just as useless in diagnosing issues from the office. I called consumers and requested another company. Their technician actually took the time to review both appliances and get his hands dirty. Amazingly, he said that both issues are easily remedied and ordered the necessary parts. Both my wife and I are satisfied. Take my advice and find another company or if you must use this company, ask for someone other than Justin; youll thank me later.

Chose this place, based on Google reviews, when our clothes washer went on the fritz. Repairman, Paul, was here a couple of hours later, quickly diagnosed problem as a bad pump and gave us the cost. He didnt have the part on his truck, so he went back to the office and returned within 10 minutes. He installed the part, explained what he had done, and took his leave. He was courteous and pleasant, and seemed to have done this sort of things hundreds of times before. What we were expecting to turn into a long, painful process was cheerfully resolved in just a few hours. This is our go to place for appliance repairs for now on.

Waking up one morning to find my kitchen floor soaked, I found a leak in the tube that goes to my refrigerator Icemaker. I went to this store and they sold me the right tubing and a fitting at a reasonable price and offered advice as to what to do.If I had asked them to come out, they could have done it for me, but the owner assured me You can do this. My floor is now dry, and I have Ice.As for the complaints about charging 40 bucks to push in a part, The workman didnt charge you for pushing in the part. He charged you for the expertise of knowing which part to push. Hes not your family, who might do stuff for free. Hes got his own family. I can respect that.The workman is worthy of his hire.Many thanks to this company
