I love Dr. Ali and his amazing team! I had my wisdom tooth removed and some extra work plus cleaning. I had a chipped tooth that needed repairing and it looks really good after the work. They made sure I was comfortable and pain free. The staff and office is amazing!

The people are always so friendly and the service is top notch. They always make me feel so welcomed and have truly turned the tide from me hating to go to the dentist. I’ve seen vast improvement in my dental hygiene and I credit it to this office - without their expertise and instruction, I wouldn’t be taking care of myself the same way. Even when I moved to San Antonio, I still went to About Smiles in Round Rock for my cleanings because when you find a home, you stay there. Thankful for everyone in this office and their amazing customer service!

This is the first time I have written a Google review for anyone but it is deserving. I had nothing but great experiences while going to see Dr. Lauren. Her team was great and she did a great job explaining everything that she was doing and listening to what I had to say. Becky made me feel right at home and was very gentle during my cleaning. She kept me calm during all of my appointment and answered all of my questions. After seeing many different dentists I can say that Dr. Lauren and her team are the best I have seen and I will continue to go there and would highly recommend them to anyone. Will be moving my entire family over to About Smiles.

Im a cash payer/ no insurance but they have a program that made it affordable FOR ME. Ive spent about $15,000 here over about two or three-years. And I never thought I would spend that kind of money on myself (cosmetically)But I trust these people at About Smiles (Dr. Hoover and Dr. Lauren) with my teeth, my smile, everything I owe to them theyre great !! I’ve never been to this office because of the person who answered the phone. Which was named Michelle. From the start she didn’t seem very helpful and was rude. I called asking if they take emergency appointments for my daughters tooth pain that kept her up all night. With an attitude she asks well it depends on what insurance your using. I stated I’m paying fully out of pocket. And she asks well what is going on and how old is she. I told her my daughters age and that it was her back tooth that was clearly a cavity. She immediately says “oh I can tell you for a FACT that it’s her wisdom teeth and she’s gonna need surgery”. I didn’t know you can diagnose the issue without further questions or actually seeing the patient when it clearly IS NOT her wisdom teeth. Her whole attitude and demeanor was off !!!!!

This dental office is really a friendly place. All the worker there are really nice and especially April the assistant is really patient and help me out with my temporary bridge.

Becky my dental hygienist was absolutely amazing. Actually made going to the dentist fun!This was my first time visiting a dentist in about 6-7 years. I had a lot of apprehension after having my wisdom teeth out and was dreading bad news for it being so long but it honestly wasn’t. They make you feel relaxed about everything and I know I will be coming back for 6mo-1year cleanings moving forward!

My 12 year old daughter was so nervous for her appointment she hates going to the dentist. We’ve moved and she needed a visit so we searched for a local practice. Alexis was great with getting us scheduled and explaining everything and when we got started Becky immediately made us feel so comfortable. We had a full exam, xrays and her cleaning and we needed a few fillings so we got those done too. When we left my daughter felt great and told her dad she’s not scared of the dentist anymore and she has a friend named Becky there now! Becky you truly have a passion for what you’re doing and your patients can feel it. Thank you for a great appointment and for taking such great care of my kiddo!! My children and I were so pleased with the experience! We drove 15 miles from our home just to try y’all out. It was worth it! Love the sonic toothbrushes too. About Smiles in Round Rock is a great dental practice on Gattis School Blvd. The front waiting room is very clean, has comfortable seating with a great color TV, they even have an aquarium and you can watch all the fishes swim to you and they think that youre going to feed them, its so funny. Alexia will give you a warm welcome, April will get you set up to see Dr. Anne Hagan who will help you with whatever your teeth require. Becky will clean and make your teeth sparkle. Jessica will help you with the billing of insurance if you have it or just take your payment. Go visit and meet the wonderful people. We had the pleasure of seeing Dr Hagan, she was absolutely amazing. Our 3 week old got her lip & tongue tie removed and Dr Hagan was so sweet the entire time she made sure we understood the procedure and any questions were answered. She cleared any doubt we had. She explained all after care very well she made sure before we left the office we understood everything that happened and what was going to happen along with what can happen. We absolutely loved and felt so welcome by everyone including the ones that didn’t attend us. Alexis, Jessica and Dr Hagan were so very sweet and friendly. The Round Rock location is the best Dentistry that we have visited.

Came in for a routine cleaning and x-rays, they where wonderful. Very friendly and explained everything before and after. Becky was helpful with my treatment and did a great job on my cleaning.

I am not from Austin TX, however I moved here about a year ago and it is hard to find a good dentist office. So I happened to find About Smiles Family & Cosmetic Dentistry down came my routine cleaning. As soon as I step into the office the staff was friendly,professional and very pleasing. All the staff and to include the Dr. genuinely care about the patients. I have had two visits and I have not had any issues, in fact they have actually taken care of my needs.Overall I am very pleased and satisfied with the service they provide. They definitely know how to conduct business keeping the patients needs as a priority.I absolutely recommend this office and I will keep them as my head dentist.Best dental office I have been and best service I have received.

Great and friendly staff! I had a dental emergency (broken tooth) and they were able to get me in quickly, and patch me up in the same visit. I’m fairly certain they worked through their lunch hour to fit me in. This was my first visit, but they are going to be my permanent dentist.

This place is absolutely fantastic! I had jaw pain and tooth pain and I went in via recommendation because the dentist I had gone to before was a total tool. But Dr. Hagan was such a sweetheart! She diagnosed the problem. I had a wisdom tooth trying to come in and was causing the pain I was having. She pulled the tooth and was very sweet during the procedure, she was not stern or anything, with Dr. Hagan it was all sugar and honey when it came to her attitude. I will for sure be back to this location for my check up! All the staff and dental assistants were very sweet as well 5 stars isn’t enough to rate this place!

I cant say enough good things about this office. I needed quite a bit of work done especially on my bottom teeth. It got to the point I couldnt even chew anymore and with a new baby things get expensive fast. Other dentist offices were not willing to work with me at all, but About Smiles was able to work with me to be able to get the work done that I so desperately needed. I broke a tooth this morning and had to scramble to find a Dentist office that would take my insurance and get me in today to surgically extract the root and patch me up.From the moment i walked into their door I felt that every staff member their complete understood what i needed and they were going to make sure to squeeze me into their busy day.The consult was quick because the Dentist listened to what i needed and wanted. She then quickly told me all my other options without imposing all the other options. Together we came up with a good course of actions to take today, and for the future of my dental care. The extraction was done with out any complications and with top notch bedside manner.After the surgical extraction i told the wife sweet heart, meet our new family dentist. We made appointments for the whole family as we have decided About Smiles are the kinda folks we can trust to take care of us as if we were members of their family.

If anyone received a bill saying it is 90 days old, call the office they will advise you that it was a billing glitch.I would have to agree with the rest of the post below, the staff is amazing. This review is pretty much about the billing. With a dual ins plan, I like to know they everyone will get it correct. After speaking with someone in regards to a strange letter received, I feel 100% better knowing this issue will work itself out. It was not the office, it was the commercial ins battling over who was primary. Payment was never received, and the office was very patient in explaining everything to me and what is expected from the insurances. I rate them a 5 and appreciate all info while this is being resolved.

I woke up in extreme pain and attempted to leave a voicemail with a dentist. I did not know I would reach a person. The next day the employee of About Smiles texted me complaining about how I disturbed her sleep. Poor service. Very unprofessional. Will not go here.

Dr. Hagan and her staff are amazing. She is extremely gentle (I’m a baby about numbing shots) and a perfectionist. I hated the way my front teeth looked due to stains, and she completely transformed my smile. The office is great with working with you and your schedule, and no one makes you feel rushed or not valued. I’ve even had to bring my newborn in due to sitter issues, and the accommodated me (thank you April for your help). If you need a dental office that isn’t trying to scam you on money, and preforms work you actually need while taking care of any wants you’d like this is the place for you. I had an awesome experience! First off, from the day I called to make my appointment, Jessica was so helpful! Walking in was even better. I only had my new patient exam today and everything was so well explained! I would definitely recommend to others.

Not one of my favorite places to have to go to. But the people here are awesome. I needed to have my first crown put in. They made me feel as comfortable as possible. I even got to watch them design the crown on the computer and watch it getting made in house. I highly recommend coming here!

About smiles had me suffer for months, lied to me and charged me $ 6,400.00 for poor work that has all had to be redone because @Smiles would not correct the botched job. Very painful for junk ! After I paid in advance they left me hanging for months before dentures were finally delivered. Don’t waste your time or money here, and I like everyone Except her. I would say this dentist is my worst enemy.

I avoided going to the dentist based on a bad experience (was not fully numb when procedures were done). I was referred to this office and the X-ray tech, hygienist, Dr. Hoover & Cathy were great. This was my first pain free dentist visit in a while. I am glad I have finally found a dental office where I do not feel nervous to get some work done, and I am actually given tips about cavity prevention. Thank you for your understanding and keep doing what youre doing! I will be back in six months *hopefully cavity free*. :]

Money grab. False diagnosis About needing a deep cleaning. The next day I went to another dentist that said I had excellent oral hygiene and did my normal regular cleaning. I only went to this dentist because I had just moved and hadn’t found a dentist yet.

The best dental experience I have since moving to the Austin area. Everyone is nice and friendly. Dental work is excellent.

I chose this dental office because of the great reviews. I first had a basic cleaning and it went well, although I was surprised by how much work they said I needed. My next appointment, I was supposed to get three crowns and four fillings, mostly on one side. I was told my appointment would take two hours. I sat waiting and numb for about one hour and I was also informed (for the first time) that they would only be doing temporary crowns and that I would have to come back to get the permanent ones. Three hours into my appointment I asked the dentist if I would be done within the next hour because I needed to pick up my kids from school (which I didnt think would ever be a problem since I hadnt planned on a four hour appointment!). They moved a little faster and said they wouldnt get to the third crown. The dental hygienist placed the temporary crowns so quickly that they were placed much too high. I was numb for several more hours because they had to inject me more than once since the appointment was so long. My lip got a painful cut on the side from rough pulling. That night my temporary crown fell out. I called them the next day to have them reseat it. At that appointment they also sanded down one of the fillings because it was also too high. The dentist ended up making it too shallow though because from then on, my bite was off and I started experiencing jaw pain. At this point, I was scheduled for my permanent crown visit about ten days later. During this time with my temporary crowns I experienced intense nerve pain. I had to take the full dose of pain medicine every day just to function (and this was over Christmas no less). It was absolutely horrible. For my third visit, they placed my top crown but then I was informed that the bottom crown wasnt made correctly so I got another temporary crown! I tried explaining how my bite was off, but my dentist said everything looked fine. They said I wouldnt be able to come back for another two weeks. I was furious at this point. I called them the next day and demanded an earlier appointment because I was still in so much pain. They said I couldnt because my new crown wouldnt be back from the lab, but then agreed to move up my appointment by a week. I assumed this meant they would make sure the crown would be made in time. For my fourth appointment I detailed all my concerns and frustrations. They then made a crown in office. Once they placed it, I realized it was a different type of crown then my top crown. I was never informed about this. That appointment took four hours as well, even though I was told it would take 1.5 hours. The dentist raised my crown a little to try to compensate for my now shallow bite. She said I could come back for another adjustment if necessary. At the end of my visit they said I should schedule another appointment to get my other work done. I was totally dumbfounded. I just went through serious pain and trouble and they wanted to get started with more work! I lied and said I would call them after looking at my schedule (with the intent to never go back). It has now been a full week since my last appointment. Luckily my nerve pain has gone away but I have intense cold pain that wont go away on my back tooth that had a filling, I cant chew on the side with my crowns because they still hurt, and I get headaches every day with intense pressure in my ear because my bite is still not right. I have been considerably disappointed in the quality of work of this dental office. Its true, the people are nice, but this was a ridiculous process to go through for basic dental work such as crowns and fillings. I am now preparing to go to another dentist to be evaluated and hopefully have the poor work adjusted. I do not recommend this dental office.

Had an opportunity to visit this dentist office because of a cracked tooth emergency. Called four other dentist offices in the Round Rock area with no response or recordings.It was the Monday before Christmas and the office in Austin referred me to the Round Rock office and I got an appointment at 11 a.m. The dentist pulled my cracked tooth and saved my Chrismas holiday with my family. Professional staff and super friendly. Cant praise them enough☺

This is re my first appointment. I Received a phone call message and text reminding me of appt., and recd call from the dental hygienist that would be taking care of me the afternoon before my visit to introduce herself to me and we went over what was expected (very cool). Upon arriving we went over paperwork. Going into room, my hygienist was thorough and explained what she observed (after a few x-rays). After the cleaning, my dentist came in and explained findings and gave alternatives. We started plans for a partial to be done, right afterwards. Everyone was very nice and made my visit a good experience.

I received a mailer for a cleaning, exam, full x-rays, and a Sonicare toothbrush for only $99. It seemed like a great deal, so I booked my appointment. When I arrived, the receptionist handed me a clipboard of paperwork and proceeded to tell me about all their monthly specials. I did not need any of these things whatsoever, but I was not able to get a word in to stop her. She had her routine and was not about to let me stop her. When she finally finished, I simply said I was not interested. She then started in again saying what a great deal they were and that I should consider purchasing them. I had been in the building for only minutes at this point! Then I was shown to an exam room. After some time had passed, I was told the x-ray machine was not working. I asked if I needed to reschedule my appointment and was told I needed to just sit and wait until they figured it out. Then I was told she was going to use a different machine and do them by hand. They were done multiple times because they did not come out right. I was then told the other machine was fixed and needed to get those type of x-rays. Then I was told they needed to use a 3rd machine to take individual pictures of each tooth surface throughout my entire mouth. I was honestly bewildered and confused by all this nonsense but figured it was all part of the $99 package I was there for. Then who I thought was the dentist, came in to do the exam. She proceeded to poke down into my gums with a periodontal probe at an angle to go into the gums versus simply checking them. At one point, she slipped and fell into me, scraping the probe across my gums into the soft tissue of my mouth. I winced in pain and tasted blood. I said that it hurt. She said, Oh, sorry. Really?! You cut my mouth and didnt seem to care until I mentioned it? She then told me that I needed a deep cleaning to remove buildup below the gum line and laser treatment to kill any bacteria because I had some small areas of plaque that will erode the underlying bone if they dont remove it. She said not only will my teeth completely fall out, but it will adversely affect my heart and could KILL me. I was shocked. I get my teeth cleaned every 6 months, brush multiple times a day, and floss nightly. This was the biggest load of BS I had ever heard. Youll never guess what a deep cleaning costs...around $2,000. Then another woman came in and stated she was the actual dentist. Apparently the other girl was not even a dentist! The actual dentist proceeded to look with the dental mirror and slipped, hitting one of my veneers pretty hard. She didnt apologize or anything. Is this everyones first day?! Then I was told they would not be doing my cleaning because I needed all my crowns replaced, my fillings re-done, an extraction, and a dental implant as well as the deep cleaning! Total cost....around $10,000. I asked how that would all be possible in less than a year since I was at the dentist for a checkup. She then started changing her story from one thing to the next. She said at the very minimum I needed to remove a molar and get an implant. It just kept getting more absurd. I got up and said I was done and was not getting ANYTHING done here whatsoever. I went to the front desk to check out and was told that the $99 deal was no longer valid because I did not get a cleaning. I was told I would just have to pay full price for all the different x-rays and pictures. I had absolutely had enough at this point. I said if I am paying for them, I want them to take with me. She refused. The woman running the office came over and said they will not be charging me for anything at all since I was so distraught by my experience and never got what I was there for. I have never seen an empty dental office like that. Now I know why. This place is scamming people and pressuring them to get procedures they do not need! DO NOT GO HERE! You will regret it!!!
