I went in for a Brazilian blow out, because it was my birthday. I booked the appointment ahead of time. When I came to the appointment the hair stylist was not happy at all that she had this kind of appointment.The salon is very beautiful and clean. The quality of the blow out is very nice, and the price of the blowout $350 is right for this kind of service.Regardless of how the hairstylist was I still enjoyed my experience here

I am writing this review after 2 months of getting haircut. As hair is growing out I am seeing how shabbily it was cut...if I was going to get this result I would have had someone cut it at home. the day of haircut after I came home, I saw both sides werent leveled but it was subtle to where I thought no one would notice...but its grown out very unevenly and I have never had this problem before. I was also disappointed that they didnt have a first time customer discount and sad about the fact that it wasnt worth the money. I went here for the first time because of the ratings but will not be going here again.

Ive been a grateful client of Annies for almost 10 yrs., and several of my best friends are now also Annie fanatics! At seldom times she was out of town when I needed a last-minute cut, owner Theresa filled in beautifully. The owner, Peter (Theresas hubby,) deeply cares about both his staff and their clients, and the energy between all of them makes my time there lovely and relaxing. Hoping the new location brings them even greater success!!

Kim is great! She has given both of our sons haircuts and they loved it. Neither of them had a melt down with her either. (At other places, our oldest has been terrified.) The prices are very reasonable and all the people there are friendly and helpful.

Been getting my hair cut at VP SALON for 12 years. Annie does a wonderful cut, very pleasant not overly chatty, smart - cuts hair to my face, makes suggestions but not bossy, I have balding area, tactfully suggested I keep hair longer in back. But she knows I dont / wont spend a lot of time fixing hair in mornings. This is a family hair care shop. Everyone is very friendly, they enjoy their jobs, making people look good and feel good.

Kim is great! I have been going to Kim for 6 years now and I have never been disappointed. Everyone is always complementing my hair whether is a new haircut or new color. She always knows exactly what Im talking about when I am explaining a hairstyle and she can copy exactly what she sees on a picture. I have recommended Kim to all my family and they love her too.

Everyone is great. They spend time and listen to you. They are knowledgeable in everything.There isnt anything they cant do.

My 6 year old daughter is about to have her 4th heart surgery in a few days. I asked her what is something cool that you want to do before we go to the hospital ... she replied with I want pink, purple and blue hair. Of course I said yes.Not only was everyone so kind, sweet and caring to her, they did an amazing job!!! We both are so happy with the way it turned out. I love this place and will get both of our hair done here from now on.I highly recommend VP salon!

Took my son to this salon over the weekend and totally regret ever walking in the front door. My son has fine hair that shows every single cut of the scissors if it isnt done correctly. So Tony starts cutting his hair without ever wetting it down at all and he just didnt understand what my son was trying to tell him about how he wanted his hair done. He made my son feel like he just wanted him out of the chair as soon as possible. I have never seen such a horrible haircut from a professional stylist in my life, made me wonder if he even had a license to do haircuts. We ended up leaving with my son absolutely furious and ready to have his head shaved because of the horrible job done on his hair. So I ended up paying for the haircut and having to go somewhere else to fix it. Was so mad that it wasnt worth it to argue about paying for the cut. All in all I spent $20 for a crappy haircut and then another $20 to fix the crappy cut. DO NOT GO HERE or prepare to go somewhere else to fix the cut you get.

I personally have not had my hair done here, but my best friend has and tonight we stopped by to address an issue.Her appointment was with Toni and she had brought in a picture to help demonstrate the color job she was seeking. After he spent 4 to 5 hours (according to Toni) and she spent $250, she walked out with the worst color job Ive ever seen. She looks like a walking highlight horror story that you hear about, but never experience yourself. I cannot believe that any prideful stylist would allow a client to walk out looking the way she did. It looks as though he tried to add blond highlights, knowing it wouldnt take, but hoping it would give her the color as such was in the picture. Theres also a clear line where the coloring starts (several inches below the root) and it looks as though he put the color in his hand and ran his hand through her hair. I will be posting a picture on here later.This evening we stopped by to address the issue. I joined her for moral support as she was hesitant about bringing forth the issue. Naturally, she requested a refund because only an idiot would allow someone who already ruined their hair once, to do it again. After requesting a refund, Toni refused and claimed refunds are not given. He informed her that her hair was too dark for the coloring job she wanted. If he had known this, as any registered and trained stylist would, he should have informed her of this before doing the job. Perhaps he could have made a suggestion. Otherwise, instead of allowing her to leave with an orange mess he should have said something like You know this didnt turn out how I thought it would, but if you come back by tomorrow Ill correct. And that would have prevented this whole issue.After being asked for his license number (for the situation to be reported the Texas Department of Licensing and Registration), he refused to give it. As I was showing him the picture of what she asked for as well as a pic of what she actually received he took my cell away from me and when I went to grab it back, he jerked it away for me until I demanded for him to return my cell to me. Instead of focusing on my friend and being more concerned about an unhappy client who paid $250 for a hideous coloring, he was more focused on me and why I was there with her. When someone is this defensive and argumentative, why wouldnt my friend have someone else there to support her? At one point, when my friend politely explained her displeasure while also informing Toni that she did appreciate the time he spent on hair, I sighed, which seemed to have set Toni off as he told me to leave, go sit down, go away, etc. To which I informed him that he needed to focus on her and not me.Supposedly shell receive a call from the owner regarding the issue. We shall see. I will leave an update on here as well.Toni was rude, disrespectful, and had no regard for a client who trusted him and paid good money for a bad job. Myself...I didnt appreciate him grabbing my phone and jerking it from me. Dont touch my personal property and dont disrespect and duly deserved unsatisfied client.

High Five (stars)!Thanks to the favorable reviews I found on Yelp, I had to try out this place. Being new to Austin, I didnt mind traveling up north than taking my chances at a nearby barbershop (called Great Haircuts---not kidding!).If you are Asian, this is definitely one of the places to go to in Austin. Kim took her time cutting my hair which I appreciate. Having had cut her sons hair for many years, I knew I was at the right place. She is also one of the few barbers I know who actually listens to the customer when a request is made to have a haircut look a certain way. (I find it extremely frustrating when you show a picture of what you want your hair to look like and they cut it as if they didnt even look at it!)For 18 dollar haircut plus a 3 dollar tip, its a steal!

They do a great job with waxing. Shes fast, efficient and talented.
