Best place I have ever had my hair cut..good tunes a free beer and a great cut with engaging conversations..I love it. Its a little pricey but worth it. I will never go any where but Fades. Glad I found them.

I’ve been to Fades Barbershop twice now and will continue to go back especially for my straight-edge beard trim. Evelynn is a great barber! They were voted Best in Round Rock in 2019 so why go anywhere else. Fades is a trendy place and there is a parental advisory warning on the door for the young ones.

Great💈shopping experience. The facilities were inviting, well lit, very clean. Staff were all very attentive and service oriented, theyll give you a beer while you wait! I got a fantastic haircut for $25. Ill be a repeat customer. Best to make an appointment, tho i was a walk in. I still got hooked up within half hour.

This was difficult because my stylist Nomey was friendly. But her skills as a barber with a high bald fade were terrible. There were spots she missed hair uneven, and just terrible. I had to shave it all off at home. I usually cut my own hair, but today decided to make a trip to have someone do it. Bad decision I guess. I called and let Amber know how I felt and she handled the situation perfectly. Ive been in the armed services a while this would definitely be a failed inspection had I not corrected it.

It would be super useful if they updated their hours on Google, not just a piece of paper on their door.Its not that hard, and its very frustrating to show up to a closed business that is the first thing that comes up under Open Now on a Sunday.Im sure the owner will just give a snark reply instead of actually doing this easy and simple thing though.

I took my mom for hair color and hair highlights on September last week. I did it with Evelynn. But the color not last for even one month. When I can called them they said they can’t do anything on that. Very poor service. Not going to come back again.Just want to mention that I not paid $100 for that ; I paid $200 for that service you can check it from your employee or on your system . It is from sep 29.Thanks

Moved to Texas a year ago and have been in search of a barber who does a quality job. Legitimately just had the best haircut Ive had because Renee took his time to provide me with high quality service. Excited to say i’ve found my new barber going forward.

Not walk in friendly at all. Very little barbers on staff hour minimum wait times. Lots of ppl leaving because of barbers missing the set appointment times.

Ive been looking for a reliable place to have my hair cut and... finally! Fades Barbershop did not disappoint. They had some good reviews so I booked a slot. The place is very hip, with a definite rock vibe that worked perfectly for me. Good music, and they have beer! Ha. Saskia cut my hair and did a great job. The staff were attentive, very personable and professional. I dont usually book ahead, but after such a great experience I know Ill be back.

I really like this place. Reasonably priced and theyre all pretty crazy so its a fun barbershop environment/experience. They also give you a free lone star so thats nice.

Do not make an appointment here unless you have plenty of time to waste. This place was awesome until Rachel left a few months ago. I have made 3 appointments in a row with Alexa, because she does do a good haircut, and every time she is cutting some other dudes hair when I arrive on time. Two times ago the woman at the counter thought I had switched my appointment and last time it was literally an hour after my appointment before I was sat down in the chair. Today I made an appointment for 1:00 pm. My thinking was that if I make the appointment earlier in the day, maybe she wont be so behind. Nope. She finished cutting the guy before me at 1:15 and then proceeded to talk with the owner, sweep up the floor, then walk to the back room. I finally left at 1:25 and I wont be going back. If you dont want to cut my hair then just tell me that and dont waste my time. Also today another guy sitting beside me had an appointment with another barber which wasnt kept and they told him to come back in the afternoon. The barber said we are short-staffed. You arent short-staffed, you overbook and dont keep appointments.

Went into the shop today to get my sons hair cut and Lacey did a fantastic job! The entire staff was super nice. The shop is very clean and super organized. I highly recommend them!!

Stopped in this morning for a haircut for myself and my 4yr old son. I had a great experience and will be back.Laura was our stylist and even though it was my first time there and she had never cut my hair before, she understood what I was looking for after seeing 1 or 2 pics from my previous barber. She did a great job and nailed it.Next up was my honey badger, I mean, son...Laura was patient and professional in taking care of him, and did a fabulous job of ensuring our awesome matching haircuts.The rest of the staff was welcoming and even had someone besides Laura ask if I wanted a beer. Fearing loss of my father of the year accolades, I politely declined, but it is just another nice service offering Fades has.Loved the decor, the music was great, and was in and out quickly (granted we did get there when they opened). Catch you on the flip side Fades!

This place is like going on vacation, except you leave looking better than when you got here. Amber is wonderful and crazy talented, such a good spirit. The owner is friendly and the place is welcoming. Everyone is loud and laughing and they serve beer. Music is loud and good.

The barber shop Is nice but pricey. The same cut other places is half the price. If you are in love with the environment I say go for it, but otherwise shop around

The business owner gets 5 stars for defending her business, but a 1 star for the way she handled a negative review and the fact I couldn’t get a haircut within a reasonable amount of time after the appointment was scheduled (+20 minutes past the scheduled time when I walked out). If she put as much time in to providing a great customer experience as she does defending her business, she’d likely be even more successful. Just my opinion.After everything, fades gets a 3. If you have time PLENTY of time and don’t mind an appointment not being an appointment, it’s a fine place to get a haircut, hopefully for years to come.

The first haircut I got that I didn’t have to cut or re-style when I got home, color was awesome too! I love the relaxed adult atmosphere, will definitely be back!

Max has been cutting my hair for about a year and a half, so when he moved here from a different hair place I had to follow him!

Have been consistently going to fades for the last 6 months. The haircuts are great and the atmosphere is cool. After every cut, I’ve asked for a rinse just to get the hair clippings out. The rinse has always been complemetary and I always tip well on the haircut. Today, the girl at the counter was not very friendly when I arrived. Also, when I went to pay, she charged me 7 bucks for the rinse. I told her it had always been complementary in the past. She said she had no choice but to charge me. Her demeanor was arrogant and she had no interest in listening to me. Poor customer service. Love the cut, very disappointed at the counter staff.

Love this place, free beer, fun atmosphere, and a great haircut every time. Amber is great, but I havent met anybody at this place I didnt like. I highly recommend for those with an affinity for that famous Austin weirdness, right here in Round Rock. Also read some of the negative reviews about the place. Might be time for a few of those people to go back to the mall. Negative doesnt mesh with my personal experience.

A locally owned business operated by a family that put their heart and soul into opening this place, one of them being a cosmetologist for over 20 years and is passionate about hair, it shows in her work. The environment is great. Employees are very nice. Stylists are very talented and experienced.

Ok so awesome atmosphere the girls were lovely had amazing conversation and couldn’t be more happy with this aspect. Although not happy with the cut I received it’s understandable I have very thick hair and it’s hard to cut but I have def received better cuts elsewhere but the girls were as friendly as can beSo this is the second review I’m leaving I left this 8 months ago and the owner said they wanted me to love my haircut and would fix it right away after 8 months several phone calls and emails I never received a response

Walked in expecting a decent cut given the name of the shop. The lady asked what I wanted and I explained what my normal barber does. She asked a few more questions (I was thinking I did not explain well enough). I said, hey let me show you a picture of my last cut. She responded, No, I know what you are wanting. So, she proceeded to cut my hair and the fade is terrible, she ignored any and everything I asked for. And when I walked back in and asked her to fix it, it just got worse from there. Not going back. Worst fade I have ever had. Save your time and money and go somewhere that will listen to you.

I used to hate getting my hair cut until I found this place. Everyone there is just fantastic, but I highly recommend Milos for literally any cut you could think of. Today he did a flawless fade on a guy right before my cut, which was a retro layered bob that perfectly compliments my face shape. I didnt even tell him what I wanted, I just said I needed it shaped while I grow it out for my wedding. And bam, perfection. I dont let anyone else touch my hair and neither should you.

Writing a review for my hubby (who cant type) and who had his first visit to Fades today. We are seniors and dont even know what a fade is, but he desperately needed a haircut and I was able to make an appt. for the same day. He saw Rachel and has not stopped talking about her, the shop, the people, his haircut all day. He loved Rachel and his whole experience. Got a senior discount and he said it was worth every penny. He has NEVER raved about getting a haircut before. We are moving to Hutto soon, but feel he will be making the drive back to Round Rock to see Rachel again. BTW, he looks great..so thanks from me, too, Rachel. Would definitely recommend.

I made an appointment and was taken care of quickly upon arriving. My barber was Lyra and she was a breath of fresh air! So friendly, relatable, and she made me feel comfortable in the environment. After my haircut, I asked for an eyebrow as well. Bella, the reception girl, took care of me for that. At first I was reluctant because it didn’t seem like she was supposed to be taking care of the actual hair, and I was right. While she did my eyebrows, I immediately felt like something was not right. Before this, I had actually explained a bad experience with an eyebrow wax and how I did not get them done for 3 months prior to my haircut at Fades because of it, which is the worst part. The product used to remove the hair was messy, and frankly ineffective. She finished and I saw absolutely no difference from before, so I asked her to clean them up a bit more. That was the worst request I could’ve made. When she was finished “cleaning them up” half of my left eyebrow was gone and my right eyebrow was completely misshaped. I noticed this, but decided to go home and check it out closer for myself. Upon getting home, I realized just how terrible my eyebrows looked, it took all of the good feelings I had from my amazing haircut. I called, spoke to Bella, and simply got a “sorry”. There wasn’t much else to it. 2 days passed, and I couldn’t let it go. I called the store wanting to speak to Tina. I was told she would get back to me that same day, so I waited. I never received a phone call, email, or text message. I gave all my information. As I speak, my eyebrows are still slowly growing back, and I have to see the terrible work everyday. I’m not one to leave reviews or complaints, but this weighed heavy on my mind, even today. I simply wanted a refund, but wasn’t given the opportunity for that either. It was clear to see that Fades didn’t care about my terrible experience and the huge mistake that was made. Fades, please don’t let people without a license or experience take care of customer’s hair, eyebrows, etc. Lyra, keep doing an amazing job! You were excellent.

Foul conversations and word usage. You just feel dirty by having to hear their conversations at this establishment. They do good fades but lack filters in regard to conversations and words.

Took my son in to get his haircut. The guy never even picked his hair out to make sure it was even. One side of his line was longer than the other one. Very nice guy as it relates to conversation. My son was just not happy at all.

I have been here a couple of times now and both times i have been less then impressed. Nothing about this place is a true barbershop, especially when the cutters say they arent a barber and are only allowed to shave with a guarded straight razor and that its a loophole. I have several missed spots on my head from a simple fade/buzz cut this time around and I paid the full 20 dollar price with out being edged up, my neck shaved, or a hot towel. Which is weird because everyone who went before me got it and paid 20. Majority of the staff members are stoned and are looking around with squinted eyes...Which wouldnt be a problem if they could cut hair. This not a true barbershop. At best this is a hipster sports clips. If the owner would like to own a barber shop and not a cost cutters, you should start by hiring some certified barbers. Just a thought.

Prepare to have a good conversation and an even better cut. Fades and Tina have been and will be my go to for as long as Round Rock will have me. If you are looking for a frilly, overpriced and subpar haircut only an infant step up from your kindergarten bowl cut, try a chain like sports clips.

Only ones allowed to shear my locks. Tina and her team are top-notch mane wranglers and I have made the drive from Austin to see them for years.

This place is awesome. Staff is friendly and funny. They pay attention to detail when cutting hair and dont leave those few long stragglers behind like some other places do (Supercuts). Ive never had to point out areas they missed because they are treating you like a customer and not just someone they need in and out of their chair. If you want a good haircut, this is the place.

I went in with my son today and someone said hello. We sat and waited as she and another employee finished their clients. Another customer walks in after us and he gets seated immediately. No big deal,maybe he had an appointment. When the other employee finished her client instead of saying I will be right with you she tells the other employee she leaving to the bank. No one acknowledges us for 20 minutes. As we got up to walk out the employee just looked and said nothing. I am so glad I did not give this place my business. Horrible customer service. I would never go back

Intro. Hesitant to set foot into a barber again after great hair reckoning of 16, I went in fail and came out Sinatra. I showed a picture and stumbled my way through knowing what I was talking about, luckily these ladies and gents are good and confident. Savannah recommended. Outro.

Made an appointment. Turned up on time. Waited 90 minutes with no service. Eventually got served; followed up with an email about the service - haven’t had a reply (been some weeks now so they’ve had time!). At the end of the day, a decent haircut though.

Weve been coming to the shop for at least a year and Amber is one of the best barbers to ever give my little man a fade. If you care about having a good taper and clean hair line shes the one to see!!
