If you donate PLEASE READ ..... I emailed the Rome program with detailed information, asking for advisement on local prorgams that could help another individual (homeless and looking for shower facilities and washing clothing). I found Victoria Paolozzi (Rome program) to be cold and unfriendly in her reply, and she did not give the impression she was interested in assisting. The answer was Our website lists all of the services that we offer and another good resource is calling 211. That will provide you with a comprehensive list of services offered in the county. Best Regards. If this woman is paid she is overpaid. If she is a volunteer they need to find a friendlier one. If this program gets funding, I hope the parent programs check reviews frequently.I sent the exact same email to both Rescue Mission programs (Rome and Utica) and got a very well written reply from each that had a lot of information in it, along with an invitation to contact again with any other questions. If you donate to programs I recommend the Rescue Mission and Homeless Vets. I wont waste my money here. They should realize the ones they help (or dont help in this case) have friends and family that have abilities to donate.Very disappointed.

Actually...half-a-star. Was hurting for food. Paycheck & food stamps arent enough to hold over even a single person for an entire month. Went to Social Services office, and they directed me to Catholic Charities, across from City Hall, on West Dominick Street. They gave me a week supply of fruit. Only gave me a day supply of protein. And when youre hungry. Its protein ya need. Not fruit. Certainly nothing with sugar. I could care less if its Venison steaks. Some were walking out with entire wagons of food. I gotta small box. Wow.Guess I need a better job and do more fishing. Cant rely on anyone but yourself for survival.
