Sears service is absolutely the WORST! They used to be reliable but now they have outsourced the customer service to offshore. When you call to get a status report, they dont know anything but are quick to offer a $49/month whole house warranty. We called Sears to request a repair for our electric clothes dryer that quit running. The repair technician came the next day and said it needed a motor and it would probably be in next week. Well, we called 12 times over a 5 week period and got an offshore runaround from people you couldnt understand on the phone. They mentioned a replacement dryer and a callback on Friday. Friday came and went without a callback. Calling them on Saturday, same runaround. They had used a stalling tactic to avoid honoring the agreement which said we would get a replacement if they couldnt repair ours in 4 weeks. The motor finally came after 5 weeks. It was installed and were good now. By the way, I checked and the motor was available from appliance parts sources, so they could have got it from them and we would not have had to dry our clothes on a clothes line for 4 weeks. If youre considering Sears, good luck and you maybe should buy from Lowes or Best Buy.

They never repaired my washer. They said the part was on back order (which it wasnt) and charged me $275 to get a better deal as a member. I have never been reimbursed and when I called my home warranty company, they fixed the problem using the same mysterious part in two days. Sears is the worst company in the US. I wouldnt buy a screwdriver from them, let alone a major appliance.

Technician thought replacing compressor would solve the non cooling issue. It did not! Paid $600 for a part that didn’t fix problem. Called to schedule a tech to come back and must wait a week for another appointment. Couldn’t talk to anyone in charge so I was given an email address. Wrote email asking for a refund for part and it’s been 48 hours and haven’t received a response. Lousy customer service!

The repair went well and the warranted compressor was replaced, the fact that the scheduler stated the labor cost would be between $275-400 and tech charged $592 was outrageous for a 2 hour repair.

Our microwave/oven combination quit working, so we called in a warranty claim. The technician came out looked at the oven and ordered three parts. And when I say looked at the oven I mean open the door got the serial number close the door and ordered three parts. Did not inspect. The parts came in 3 to 4 days later, so we called and the next scheduled appointment was 2 to 3 weeks down the away. So two weeks go bye and two gentlemen showed up to do the repair. It took them about two hours along with my suggestions on how to get the oven out to even look at it. In the process of talking with them I found out that one gentleman was a lawnmower repair man, and the other is a refrigerator repair man. They “repaired“ the oven micro combo by replacing the parts that had been ordered. They then told me they checked the oven and microwave and everything was working perfectly! They started to leave and we’re actually in the driveway about to pull out, when I tried to heat up my cup of coffee in the microwave… As flames started to shoot out the front of the microwave… I turned it off and ran outside to get them before they left. They came back in and said goodness I can’t believe it did that we really need to have a microwave repair man do this as we’re not qualified to work on microwaves. So another technician we’re scheduled to come out and take a look at the oven/microwave. He showed up on time, looked at the oven and ordered four parts this time. The same three that were ordered before and one additional part. He then stated that he could not come back for three weeks even though the parts would be here in four days. He said we could probably get it done sooner but we might end up with the same two guys again. So the appointment was set for today between eight and 12. The technician had told me he would be here at 8o’clock in case there were other parts he would need to order, he really wanted to make sure to get it completed. So at 10o’clock I’ll call in to the service department to see where the technician is. They tell me that there was a part that is still on order and hadn’t come in although I have received no notification via email text or phone call or anything else to let me know, of course I’ve taken a day off from work today. It’s pretty sad when a customer is not even worth a phone call to call or email or anything, That an appointment will need to be rescheduled! So two months into trying to get our microwave oven fixed I’m told to just sit in white and they will call and let me know when it’s time to reschedule the appointment whenever they get the part in… To be continued

An absolute scam! Technician came out to my apartment to look at why my dryer wasn’t starting a cycle. Didn’t take it apart or anything to actually diagnose a problem ... just pressed the start button and stated very vaguely that there was something wrong with one of the five safety measures. Quoted me a cost of $400 to fix the dryer. My boyfriend opened up the dryer, figured out the problem in minutes, and was able to fix it for the cost of a $30 part. I paid $69 for them to do absolutely no diagnosing of the actual problem. Complete waste of money and time.

Service Tech Michael was great! Unfortunately, the washing machine pump he had on his truck was in worse shape that the one on the machine, Took another appointment to get another pump - 9 more days to wait on another appointment. Fortunately, I was able to call A&E Appliance Repair direct and get the appointment moved up 2 days - Sears 4myhome would not change it at all! Thats what you get w/ offshore service excuse me, NO service!

Despite continued problems with your parts shipping, identification, research and communications, your service technician, Kevin has been excellent as a repairman and as an advocate for me, your customer. He has gone far and above the minimum to insure I have taken care of. Special kudos to him.I am having growing disappointment with the your overall department, though. I was told by phone staff that my mower, a Craftsman Pro Zero Turn, would not be repaired and they would only offer $1500 toward the purchase of another Sears mower. Had I accepted this, I would be out a good mower or swindled out of what is stated in your service contract. I purchased the extended contract at the time I purchased my mower back in 2008 and have kept it current for over 8 years at a significant cost. The contract clearly states in the fine print that there is no monetary limit associated with replacement of a Lawn Tractor! I have been with an un-usable mower since September as Kevin has fought to locate and obtain the correct parts for repair when it could have been replaced and multiple rentals averted. I have also been told that your provision for reimbursement for loss of use is normally $50 every 2 weeks, and that it could not be filed until the service ticket was closed! Now that I have filed for it, I will only be receiving $150! Not too impressive for over 6 months!Am I satisfied with your service? From an administrative standpoint, NO. From the face of your actually repairman - Absolutely.Monty Reid

Sears stood me up twice, both times I had to call to find out why the tech wasnt there during the scheduled window where he was supposed to be. The third time, he was late and again I had to call to find out that Sears couldnt get the tech to my house during the window of time they had promised. Mind you, I dont live at the location where the service was needed so this was a huge inconvenience.Sears also doesnt accept credit card payment via phone/internet and requires the physical card to be on site at the location of service. Is this 1995??? Again I dont live at the site, so each time (when they actually showed) I had to drive over to provide my card.I will never purchase a Sears product again.

After my appointment was canceled without a reason, two times, the repairman finally shows up, and installs my new garbage disposal. He didnt have the proper equipment to install it, and left, after repeatedly calling for help, and being disconnected several times. I had no water or use of my sink, until my husband came home from work, after buying the proper pipes, had to install it the rest of the way. He worked well into the night, since his job keeps him at work until after 9;00 PM. That is just not right, you should have sent a person here, on time, to properly install it, we should not have had to do it ourselves! I had to call costumer service more than 5 times, just to get someone here, that also is not right! I am not happy with this service at all!!
