When I called about a homeowners policy they were nice over the phone and asked me many questions including my social security number and the breeds of my dogs. They told me they would call the next day with a quote. They did not call me back. I called them again 3 weeks later and had to leave a voice mail message. They did not call me back. I called and left a message again 2 weeks later. They did not call me back. I found out today that because one of my dogs is a Stafford shire terrier mix, that Progressive will not issue me a homeowners policy. Ok, you cant insure me because of the dog I have. Couldnt you have told me that SIX WEEKS AGO? One star because they were polite on the phone, no more because they have have backwards communication skills. I will now be cancelling all policies with progressive for my cars and motorcycles. My business will go to someone who will insure all of my property and return my calls.

They do not know how to answer phone calls..
