If your loved one is a regular patient and has a true mental health emergency requiring assistance, do not bother calling this place. I emailed, called multiple times during office hours and after hours, never got a response back, was sent straight to voicemail when pleading with the receptionist. They are looking for your insurance money, not looking out for their patient’s best interest.

I shouldve listened to the reviews. Dont go here for ketamine treatment. This is a SCAM. They may have the paperwork and are legally following the book, but they do not care about you, only your wallet.I paid $350 for an initial ketamine consultation, after answering deep personal questions about my past and medical history, the just doctor told me I would not qualify unless Ive been on 2 SSRIs before.Ive been on many medications, tried countless therapists, and have had bad experiences with traditional anti-depressants. Research shows they have a negligible difference with placebo. Im trying to treat emotional numb, why would I take a pill that just makes me more numb? They couldve disclosed this through their website. They couldve disclosed this through countless emails, forms, or phone calls we had before my appointment. But they waited to rob me of a weeks salary instead.I came here because Im desperate and little else has worked. I cannot work because my symptoms. Ive been homeless. This place is morally corrupt. Im nearly out of money. This place spits at the Hippocratic Oath. I might be out of a place to live again, and not able to eat because of the money theyve stolen from me. Their consultation fee is a hustle, designed to prey on the battered and bruised, to fatten their pockets by further abusing the traumatized victims of society.Dont associate with these charlatans. The staff is utterly apathetic as well. Except for one guy I talked to who was nice. At least try to pretend you care when working your working with clients. Theyre seeking PSYCHIATRIC HELP for a reason.

Ive been going about every 2 months for over year, and not once has my appointment started on time. Sometimes it starts as late as 25 min after the scheduled time. It seems they outsource the appointment scheduling to some call center that always causes confusion. My appointment today was cancelled without a single email or call even though I am the only party who shows up when I say I will. No treatment I received was in any way remarkable or one of a kind, which is why Id recommend going elsewhere for your needs.

I had my first appointment today and had a great experience. The receptionist was very welcoming and helpful. I saw Dr Rosse and he was very reassuring. I was extremely anxious about my appointment but he made me feel comfortable and seemed like he genuinely wants to help me feel better. He came up with a treatment plan and will see me again in a month. I also have an appointment with a therapist at the same office in two weeks He sent my prescription directly to the pharmacy which makes it much easier for me. I would definitely recommend this clinic.

Do yourself a favor, skip this practice. My psychiatric provider has left the group, the new psychiatric provider is attempting to force me to see a therapist within their group! I already had a 10-year established relationship with a therapist, and see no reason to spill my guts to another person. Ive spoken to the state of Maryland, and theyve told me medpsych cannot force me to see a therapist in their practice in order to seen by their mental health professionals. This place is a hot mess, getting ready to catch on fire.

Dr. Rosse is very approachable and professional he gets 5stars. My daughter is currently seeing Ms. Judith Walker and likes her so thats plus. My daughters have been helped by the professional at this practice and for that I am so thankful. The 3 stars is mainly for the administrative side of the practice. The negatives are online appointments need to be followed up with calls or they might not happen. You have to come in for some med prescription refills. You dont always get a person when you do call....mostly a recording. One of my daughters first appointment was double booked for the same therapist and the therapist was late by 30 minutes.😜.

This was one of the worst experiences of my life and such a shame for the reputation of mental health practices. Go anywhere but here, Im serious. Anyone who has had a bad experience as well or has any questions please feel free to reach out and email me.

Had a unfortunate experience in the practice. When I needed a refill of a medication I sent emails, spoke on the phone and had another type of medication instead of the medication I requested. For this reason I had an adverse reaction and ended up in the hospital. Sad for me because the practice doesn’t care about this. If you choose this practice be attentive and note that they don’t have a back up plan when your doctor cannot see you during a crises.

Dr. Singh is very competent and successfully guided me to a workable prescription for my depression. That being said, however, everything about doing business here has been aggravating. The office environment itself is unpleasant; the waiting room is miniscule; I waited months for a new patient appointment; I could never get anyone to answer the phone; responses by email were slow or nonexistent; the appointments churn through like a machine seemingly without compassion. I think this is just the nature of the beast so-to-speak and may be the best one can expect from a psych business that accepts insurance. But again, except for the direct and limited service I received from Dr. Singh, almost everything has been frustrating. Good luck to us all.

Every time Dr. Holcomb writes a prescription for my kid, who needs a Ritalin booster dose during the school day, he forgets that the instructions on the pill label must match exactly with the instructions he put on the county form for the school nurse. He has his staff send the scrips to the pharmacy at the end of the day, after the patients are gone, so I don’t find out until I show up to get the meds that he’s screwed it up again, but differently. If the form says noon but the bottle says 1pm, the school nurse is literally forbidden to touch the medication. This time around, he sent a version of the scrip to be pharmacy with both the 1pm (during school) dose and the 4pm (after school) dose on the same label. The nurse can’t follow those instructions to the letter, so she’s not allowed to follow them at all. He wrote that scrip in mid-August, then took off on vacation for weeks, and his staff wouldn’t tell me when he’d be back. No other doctor in the practice would call the pharmacy to fix it. I couldn’t get through weeks without being able to give my kid his afternoon meds, so I had to accept the scrip as was. Ritalin’s a controlled substance, so Dr. Holcomb can’t just send in a correct scrip for me to pick up. Until October, I’m stuck taking time off work every single school day to administer my kid’s 1pm dose in person. This is not sustainable if I want to stay employed. It’s an unfortunate reality that quality of care is not separable from competence at wrangling bureaucracy. Quality of care is not separable from quality of clerical staff, either. Dr. Holcomb can be a fine doctor for diagnostic and treatment purposes, but if he consistently makes it impossible for me to both hold down a job and make sure my child gets the treatment prescribed, his medical prowess becomes rapidly irrelevant. I can’t change the scrip because I’m not a doctor. I can’t change the school system’s policy, because I’m not the entire county government. I can’t change the federal laws regulating Ritalin because I’m not the entire legislative branch of the US government. All I can do is lose half my work day to getting the runaround on the phone from MedPsych staff, driving paperwork back and forth because nobody wants to fax the school forms, and sitting in the waiting room for hours until the doctor takes time to speak directly to me. On the phone, the practice’s customer service model seems to be Comcast, with an absolute separation between the person you can talk to and any of the people who can do or decide anything. I am actively looking to replace MedPsych in the range of practitioners my family uses.

This place was a mess right from the start. Unprofessional, completely disorganized, and for the icing on the cake, a major privacy violation that no one in the office cared the slightest about. So initially, when I called to schedule an intake, the receptionist was completely unhelpful. I was looking for a therapist who has experience treating my particular mental health issue (nothing exotic) - and the receptionist had no idea what of the therapists on staff had experience with it. But I figured whatever, Ill take who is available and if they werent a good fit, Id ask who in the practice might be better. Then, a few days before my appointment, I got a notification that my appointment was cancelled. Turns out that I had been sent an email and needed to respond to confirm the appointment, which would have been fine if someone had told me to keep an eye out for that. No one did, so the email went to the spam folder, and my appointment was cancelled. I called them as soon as I realized, and was able to reschedule. The whole thing was entirely avoidable, and cancelling an appointment with no warning is not exactly a helpful thing to do to someone with anxiety issues. The day of the appointment comes, and the therapist who does the intake is perfectly friendly, but completely unqualified to treat my mental health issues. I ask if any of her colleagues have the training and experience - and she had NO IDEA.Youre getting the picture. This entire practice is terribly disorganized and thoroughly unprofessional. A simple question of who here has experience treating [my common disorder]? was meant with vague mutterings and shrugs. But the last straw was when I was leaving my appointment, and realized after I had left that I was given the appointment summary of another patient. I had her name, date of birth, insurance information, her mental health issues, everything. Mistakes happen, even major HIPAA violations, but when I turned around and went to return the document and get the correct one, no one was the least bit concerned. When your practice has violated a patients privacy to this degree, it should be met with more than just a shrug. Im assured that my paperwork wasnt given to anyone else. Do I believe it? I suppose I have to.This practice is a mess. GO ELSEWHERE.

Being the only psychiatric facility to even answer phone calls, have availability, and accept insurance within 20 miles of my area is the primary reason 3 stars are awarded here. The office is older, extremely small and cramped, and makes you feel uncomfortable almost from the start. You can hear patients in discussion with their doctors from the waiting room, you can hear people using the restroom (literally hear their urine hitting the toilet bowl), and it would be difficult for the receptionist to care less than she already does. They will attempt to charge you for EVERY single thing- a cancelled appointment, a rescheduled appointment, a medicine refill outside of your scheduled appointment, etc. They know quite well that their policies are ridiculous as the kind receptionist is happy to pass you a “dispute form” to fill out if you’re fooled into thinking they care enough to clear the charge.Dr. Rosse is the only positive of this practice, as he takes the time during your initial appointment to talk, listen, and give suggestions and answers to your concerns.Overall, a perfect example of the state of American healthcare— difficult to obtain, practically useless once you do, and all about the money.

Dr. Rosse is the best Psychiatrist Ive ever seen. Ive had horrible experiences with other Psychiatrists and therapists in the past who were unprofessional and only cared about the time on the clock. Dr. Rosse takes his time to listen to your problems, issues youre facing and gives suggestions and support. Theres not a time I was ever treated bad like how others reviews on here show. Give them a chance and make up your own opinion, dont let these negative comments sway you from a visit to this decent hard working business thats trying to learn from their past mistakes.

This place has to be one of the most shady places I have ever gotten my meds from. I am surprised this place has not been shut down by the government.Do yourself a favor and try the best you can to find another psychologist to get your meds.Highly unprofessional will cancel your appointment last minute and then refuse to refill your medication in the mean time while you wait a month without your meds for an appointment to refill your prescription. The office administrators will give your the run around. The place cares about one thing making money not the well being of their patients.

I have been coming here to see Dr. Singh & Judith Walker LCSW-C for over 4 years. They have always been caring and professional. I look forward to seeing them. If you make an appointment, make sure you keep it, because that appoinment could have gone to someone who really needed to see them. If you have questions about your medicine, read up on them. If you would like to try something different, talk to your doctor about it. Keep the lines of communication open. They are not mind readers. The receptionist Cassie, is also very pleasant. I would recommend coming here, despite the negative reviews. Try these people for yourselves .

Edit:I’ve given them 2 stars instead of my initial 0 only because I think Veronica is a great therapist. As for Dr Singh... I liked her during my initial visit but every time I see her for an appointment she makes me wonder if she even actually cares about her patients. If things don’t improve with our visits I will continue to see Veronica and find a new psychiatrist elsewhere.Original review:Figure out your damn phone system. Everytime I call to schedule an appointment or anything it’s literally a 40 min wait and then after the 40 mins the system tries to make me leave a message or keep pressing the star button to keep holding. And after pressing the star button for another 20 mins it HANGS UP ON ME! What are you, a cable company ? It’s ridiculous. I rather go someplace where a human picks up and the wait times are 5 mins or less. RIDICULOUS.

Updated review: I decided to make my first appointment with Dr. Rosse (psychiatrist) at MedPsych in Rockville, as they were in-network with my insurance and nearby to my apartment at the time. I had several unremarkable appointments with Dr. Rosse, but I was able to get my prescriptions regularly filled to keep me functioning. Dr. Rosse is like most psychiatrists; cold, distant, and to the point.I decided it may be a good idea to have all of my mental health providers under one roof, so I made an appointment with Judith (therapist). Judith was by far the worst therapist I’ve ever interacted with. She let me cry/vent/ramble on for about 30 minutes. Then the first thing she said during my session was, “have you ever tried acupuncture?” This was super confusing and random to me. She abruptly ended our session when time was up, and didn’t offer any kind or parting words. I never rescheduled with Judith.About 6 months into being an active patient at MedPsych, I was called by the receptionist and informed that Dr. Rosse is NOT in-network with my insurance (contradictory to what I had been told before). I was told I would have to now see a different psychiatrist in the practice, Dr. Singh, who also happens to be the Medical Director. I was told that I would have to see Dr. Singh at 2pm on a weekday in the Frederick office. I voiced frustration, as I would have to take an entire day off work to make it to this appointment, but was encouraged that all appointments after this could be held in the Rockville office. So I took the day off and drove 45 minutes to Frederick to make my first appointment with Dr. Singh. As I was pulling into the parking lot, I received a call from the receptionist informing that my appointment needed to be cancelled, as Dr. Singh was having “car troubles” and would not be into the office that day. I broke into hysterics, as I was beyond frustrated with the major inconveniences they had called me. I asked if I could wait for an appointment later in the day: no. Could I see another psychiatrist since I had already arrived? No. Could I have a phone session with Dr. Singh? No. I asked if they could refill my prescriptions: no. I was told to “go to my nearest emergency room” for medication if I needed it.I was distraught, and wrote an email asking to be contacted about my serious and valid concerns. I was told that Dr. Singh would call me “when she has time” and she never did.An insulting excuse for mental health providers. Stay far, far away if you value your mental health.I would give this place 0 stars if it were an option. All staff are rude, unprofessional, condescending, and could care less about your mental well being.
