Great price, great location, great guest experience. I was hesitant when I arrived & seen the buildingfrom the outside, not at all like the others Ive stayed. Inside, it took a minute for someone to realize I was there. Throughout my short stay, all the staff were phenomenal. Room was perfect for me, looked clean & smelled good. No chemical, perfumery or musty smells...always a plus! Sliding door to my balcony beneath a nice Sycamore tree. Loved the bathroom, classy & clean!! Individual wall thermostat, set & forget, so no waking up to hot or freezing room. Bed was comfy although a bit worn.

Stayed for a few nights and had an overall great experience. Rooms were cleaned well (especially with all COVID precautions and practices) and are pretty big, plus there was a little balcony in the room. Front desk service was very friendly and speedy (check in and check out only took a few minutes). Only improvement would be the sole elevator which was a bit of a far walk (all the way in the back corner)—especially if you walk from the front to the back to take the elevator then walk back to a front facing room in the hotel. Free parking on the property, easily accessible to the highways

Unauthorized charge made to my credit card ($250) and told not allowed to stay at this hotel again. Reported to Marriott headquarters and Better Business Bureau.

Didnt even have plastic drinking cups in the room. I had to go to the lobby and get a coffee cup.

In the heart of Rockville, a beautiful hotel stands tall among medical mall skyscrapers and even valleys of roads, decorated with new-age condominiums. It has a lovely interior and it serves a breakfast buffet that much needed in this period of rush hour. Although walking into the hotel is a beautiful sight, seeing the rooms are super exquisite. Please take a visit in this quaint, quiet part of town.

We were visiting family for a birthday/family reunion event. The Marriot Courtyard Rockville is conveniently located with easy access to BWI airport and Olney, MD via the MD 200 connector. With relatives in Olney and in Frederick, MD, the Courtyard location also has easy access to I-270. If visitors want to sightsee, which was the purpose of last years visit and stay at the Courtyard,or have business in Washington DC, the Shady Grove Metro subway station is minutes away and will get you downtown faster that driving.The hotel is modern with clean, sizeable and comfortable rooms. The staff is very pleasant and has a good knowledge of the surrounding area. They were helpful with recommendations of local places to dine and shop. Will definitely stay on our next visit.

Good basic hotel

The only thing I enjoyed about my stay here was the bistro. I stayed here on Valentine’s Day and was put in a room right next to renovation. I had to walk through hallways with construction and the loud noises didn’t allow me to get any sleep. The staff wasn’t friendly or accommodating at check-in but breakfast options in the bistro were outstanding. The morning server was kind and attentive. I wouldn’t recommend for a nice get away.

It’s all about the staff. Let’s face it, all Courtyard‘s are essentially the same everywhere. Same decorations, same bed, same eating area with little variation. This consistency is what makes it so attractive to business travelers like me: We know what to expect. The difference in the locations is always the staff. In this particular location the staff was excellent!

I chose this hotel because of its proximity to the Metro Station and I-270. The check-in process took no more than five minutes, and the front desk clerk was very helpful in directing me to my room. The room itself appeared to have been recently upgraded, and was clean and comfortable. The mattress and bedding were very pleasant, and I slept well - despite the fact this hotel is located near a noisy interstate.

Extended Stay America in Rockville has been like a second home to me and my family during these rough times with COVID19. All the staff are super friendly especially Ms.Hawa, Gurav, Mahdav, Chris, Ms.Katrina, and Ms.Esme! Thank you all for being so understanding and supportive during my past 7 months of being here!

Our stay was pleasant, the bed was very comfortable, the TV had smart features that we liked. The doors to the rooms however are heavy and VERY LOUD and impossible to close quietly. The food in the restaurant was tasty. The front desk staff was friendly and polite.

My room was ready when needed. The room was spacious and comfortable. The property is close to a hospital and firehouse so you may hear the odd emergency vehicle during the night. But the location is very central and the staff helpful. The Bistro is a little pricy but the food is good.

Quaint hotel, a bit dated. Currently undergoing massive room renovations so the hallways and elevators are cluttered and the floors are covered in plastic. Good news is that it’s not noisy. Convenient location and fairly easy to get in and out of. There are two workout rooms - small but adequate.

This hotel is the perfect location for our trips to the area to visit family. Have always had a positive experience. Staff has always been helpful, pleasant and positive.

I have been a loyal customer of the Marriott Hotel brand for over eight years and I have never been treated the way I have been treated today at the Courtyard Rockville. The staff refused to let me in the lobby to complete my check-in.I had a reservation for a 9-night stay at the Courtyard Rockville. Upon arrival at the hotel around 2pm to check in, the main entrance were locked. I pressed the intercom button to be let in the lobby. I told the gentleman at the reception that I had a reservation. He told me that he needed to verify my reservation before he could let me in and asked for my last name. I was very shocked because that was my first time hearing something like this. A proper way to welcome a guest is to first let him/her in and then verify his/her reservation. I asked him to trust my words and to let me in so I could complete my check in. He stated that it is the hotels policy to verify reservations before letting guests in the lobby. I found it very odd and surprising that Courtyard would ask its staff to not trust its customers words. While I was going through the back-and-forth with the reception desk, another gentleman came from inside the hotel and very arrogantly told me that I will not go in before they could verify my reservation. He never tried to de-escalate the situation nor did he politely try to make me understand the alleged policy. He told me I could cancel my reservation if I wanted to, which I did without hesitation and left the premise and cancelled my reservation.Im extremely disappointed. I have accumukated over 500 nights in Marriott hotels during the last 8 years and I never had such a bad welcome experience. I interpreted this incidence as the staff at Courtyard Rockville not wanted to trust me because Im black and they somehow thought it would be safer to verify my reservation before giving me access to the lobby. What if I did not have a reservation and wanted to book a room on the spot. Would they have still denied me access to the lobby? Or would they have completed my reservation while I was waiting outside? That is just not a good way to treat guests. I will never stay at the Courtyard Rockville ever again.

The upgrades being made to this hotel are wonderful and worth the visit. Beds are very comfortable. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Will stay again.

The staff was very kind and offered assistance. Rooms were clean and neat. I am a neat freak when it comes to the bathroom and the only thing that I did not like at all was that the complimentary shower gel and shampoo were in refillable containers maintained by the staff. Way too many hands touching something that I would prefer coming from unopened manufacturer sealed sample bottle.

We came from Virginia to visit a relative that is in Hospice care at Byron House. Thank You folks at Byron House for telling us about this wonderful facility. It was so inviting and so was the staff. Every public area was clean, polished, very well appointed and comfortable. The room was wonderful, again clean, polished, very well appointed and comfortable. All the basics were just at your finger tips....it showed that a lot of thought went into providing comfort. The Market Place, fabulous idea, we could purchase healthy foods and beverages for my 6 year old daughter....did not have to rely upon vending machines. The food at the Bistro was delicious. All the pricing from the room to meals were very reasonable. We will come again and will definitely refer! Our Sincere Thanks to everyone for providing such a pleasant experience. First things first; the people who work at this hotel are wonderful. They were professional and helpful and friendly.The biggest problem was that my room smelled like gym socks. I am guessing this is caused by past moisture on the carpet.I kept the fan on the entire visit of 5 nights, but it didnt help.The layout of the room was terrible. If I were to have wanted to watch TV it would have been quite uncomfortable. The TV was to the far left of the bed and way diagonal across the room from the loveseat/sofa. So, there is no way to sit actually facing the television. One would definitely end up with a sore neck if they tried to watch TV.The fitness center was tiny but because it was split into two rooms, it was usable.The food at the bistro was not very good and I find it annoying that they dont offer free coffee and tea in the morning, but I guess the trend is to nickle and dime customers nowadays.I do appreciate the switch to pump bottles in the shower, cutting down on the waste of the tiny individual shampoo bottles. I also appreciate that they use Paul Mitchel, a decent quality brand.

The Courtyard offers clean and spacious rooms with good internet. The lobby is comfortable and warm. The Bistro cafe offers Starbucks coffee and a limited selection of food. For a brief stay for a conference, this hotel is fine. The staff is courteous and friendly, and there is plenty of parking space.

The hotel is conveniently located right off 270. Its a quiet area. Not much within walking distance, but an easy drive to lots of Rockville activities. We stayed here because of a wedding. Very pleasant staff, nice clean rooms. It was nice to have a courtyard view and walk out patio. I failed to bring my earplugs, which is usually my standard for traveling. Teenagers across the hall were in and out of their room all night and I could hear more than I liked. My husband, however, had no problem sleeping through it. If youre a light sleeper, pack earplugs. Wed stay again if we had a specific reason (this was not a destination point for us).

The location is in a nice area with balconies in most rooms on the exterior. My only wish was that they would bring in those Internet TVs like the other Marriotts. Its a great hotel for business travel not so much for holiday as there is nothing nearby. It seems to have been renovated recently so the decor, furniture and fittings look new. It is spacious, the suite had a fridge but no microwave. They have a small bistro in the lobby but it has limited hours. The rooms along the inner wall have a better view (pool and patio area). The service is okay nothing special.

Rockville Courtyard is a lovely hotel not far from the Metro. It offers nice, clean rooms, a bistro for breakfast and dinner. It has a shuttle that can take you to the metro or businesses close by the hotel. The staff is warm and friendly and there to assist you. The price is great, especially compared to some of the hotels closer to DC. Minute from the metro without the congestion of the city. Highly recommend this hotel

Overall the facility and rooms were nice. However, the service at the Bistro was not up to par compared to other locations where I have stayed. My co-worker and I ate dinner there the night we arrived. It was not busy but we waited for about an hour to get our meals. On subsequent evenings I ordered wine at the bar and it seemed to take a really long time just to get a drink. There is definitely room for improvement.

I usually have an awesome, enjoyable stay at this Marriott Rockville location. The staff is sweet and courteous and will do everything within their power to assist you or correct an issue. Above and beyond service!

My team was in town for a week of business meetings, and not only did they provide a comfortable stay at a good rate for the team, they also saved us when our space reservation for an entire day fell through, leaving us out on the street with no options--they were able to accommodate a last-minute request for conference space. They got us set up so fast that we barely lost any productive time, and their rate was totally reasonable despite the fire drill.

The rooms here are nice and spacious. They DO NOT have a pool. (Web site said they did.) The shuttle is often unavailable, so be prepared to find your own ride. Also, they do not have any food menu items catered to small children.

Very accommodating staff. The hotel itself Is a remodeled old hotel and it suffers from some of the updates. The layout of the hotel itself is very awkward. A lot of kinks still need to be worked out to make it a more pleasurable experience.

We had a fantastic stay. The hotel is close enough to DC to allow my family to join while I was working. I highly recommend getting a suite! My suite blocked out the hallway noise. I liked the balcony but because it was excessively hot I only used it twice. The bartender was very nice. I walked in right before closing because my meetings ran late and she still served me. Overall, I would come back the next time Im in the Maryland/DC area.

The hotel was clean and convenient to our soccer venue. The staff was friendly and helpful, The lobby was well-appointed. Breakfast was available but was a bit pricey. There was no pool or much of an outdoor space.

Employee @ our evening meal was exceptional, even though he was very busy.I would highly suggest another person to help on busy mornings. I called down for breakfast pick up ten minutes before going down, had to wait in line for fifteen minutes, then had to wait while they started getting my order together, which was obvious she hadnt seen yet.

Absolutely would recommend this hotel! Staff was professional, friendly, and helpful the whole time. They did everything they could to make sure our stay was memorable. The décor was beautiful and very clean! The rooms were inviting and comfortable. I loved the large bottles of shampoo, conditioner, and body wash... they smelled wonderful! I also loved the sitting booths in the lobby/bistro area, they included your own tv, so you could sit and enjoy your food and drink, while watching a show. The courtyard area was also very pretty and relaxing! I was there for a wedding, and the staff did everything they could to make sure we were happy and well taken care of! They showed a genuine interest in why we were there, and were very helpful in every aspect of our stay!I cant say enough about how well we were treated there! It was a quick decision for weekend getaway to do work and relax. The staff was friendly and pleasant. The place was quite and had excellent internet connection. I was able to accomplish my task and get time to dip in the pool. There are plenty of restaurants in the area including a nice Safeway not too far from the hotel. The place was quite and reasonably priced.

Upon finding out it was our anniversary the desk clerk upgraded us to a suite at no cost. The staff was very friendly. The bed was one of the most comfortable Ive ever slept on at a hotel. Although its an older hotel with older, dated carpet the room itself was very clean. There is an actual courtyard with seating to enjoy a nightcap and we had a room with a balcony. Close to DC and great food! We will definitely stay there again!

Its an awesome hotel! The lobby was extremely clean and very modern. My girlfriend and I were very impressed. The room was great. The only thing we didnt like was that the mirror was outside of the bathroom. Other than that it was a great experience.

This property is very convenient to the I-270 Technology Corridor of Mongomery County, MD. It is ideally situated to Rockville and Gaithersburg. Downtown D.C., FDA, HIH, Walter Reed Medical Center are just some of the stops easily reached by the Washington Metro Red Line. The Shady Grove Metro station is just a couple of miles away making for a quick drive to the station with ample parking. The station is also easily reached by taxi or inexpensive local bus service.

I loved my stay at the Courtyard Rockville. My daughter had a great time in the pool. The room was quiet, clean, and spacious. The service was excellent. Id definitely recommend it!

The Courtyard is clean and pleasantly decorated. Unfortunately, the management has not trained the receptionists to appropriately recognize guests or inform them of where HVAC controls are located or where their room is located.

I was there for only 1 night so it was able to get thru the night and check out the next morning. I am a Platinum Rewards member and have stayed in very many Courtyards. They are usually a basic dependable hotel that I would recommend to others looking for this type of hotel however I would not recommend this particular location.Also - Marriotts bistro food service leaves a lot to be desired. Everything is prepared offsite and simply microwaved on the premises. I tried to order a hamburger and asked if it could be cooked to order and she said no that its all prepared and frozen off site so all she did was re-heat it. Im not sure who really wants to go out to dinner and eat microwaved frozen food. Marriott seriously needs to revisit this strategy if they want to have people eat in their on site restaurants. Also having to order breakfast at the counter and waiting for it to be prepared (reheated) is not a great strategy for business people who have places to be.

Nice place with a friendly and helpful staff. However if you are in a patio room on the first floor be prepared for a lot of noise generated by being next to a major intersection that has a major medical facility nearby (sirens).

We have stayed at this Courtyard in Rockville before when visiting our grandchildren who live nearby. It is convenient to their school and home and all highways. The hotel is clean and well situated. We notice many business travels use this hotel and there are many amenities. The rooms are spacious, clean and comfortable. It is our hotel of choice when we visit the Rockville area.

While the hotel internals were excellent, the best experience was the staff. We were there for a soccer tournament and they say me walk in with a cooler, and immediately asked if I wanted ice. They said when there is an area soccer tournament, the ice machines on the upper floors work overtime, and the quickest way to get ice is for them to fill the cooler from the kitchen. I liked how the paid attention to detail. The courtyard in the middle of the hotel was also really nice to relax in the cool early summer night. Courtyard furniture was comfortable and it just made for a nice, relaxing environment home away from home.
