Great class. Small sizes to maximize your time for learning in the class. Double A has your back and they want you to get your ccw and helps anyway they can.

Jack delivers your moneys worth. He is a very respected veteran of elite force with deep knowledge of self defense and weapons. I sat there for 4.5 hours but it felt like two hours. Jacks presentation was very methodical and full of substance as well as insight, that you would find highly valuable. More that what he delivers to you, I like how he did it - he grabs your attention and makes it very interactive as well as fun.

From the first phone call with Jack, I could tell that he was passionate about teaching this. He is humorous but also knows how to balance that with the importance of firearms knowledge. The class flew by without me checking the time because of how engaging he is. If anybody ever tries to question whether they should choose Jack at Double A Consultants or another instructor, Id call em crazy. Seriously though, 5 stars!

Like yourself I was looking around for the HQL class and stumbled across AA consultants doing a Google and yelp search. First of all Jack made learning about gun safety, ownership, proper maintenance and usage fun but also he was very thorough which was very important to me. Jack was a highly knowledgeable and engaging instructor. MD requires HQL training to purchase but Jacks course is far from a perfunctory exercise. His material went above and beyond the requirements with insights and real-world experience that brought it to life. For my wife and I it was four hours well spent.

Great teacher. I got my HQL and Im working on my conceal carry permit. If for no other reason than to become a better shooter, take a class with Double A. He will also walk you through the permitting process so that there are no problems.

Great training with a mix of new and old methodology about safety, responsible ownership, and down to earth teaching style. I learned a lot in a short amount of time but definitely worth it. I completed the HQL training today with Jack. I was pretty nervous at the start of the course and left feeling confident and empowered. Jack took the time to help me feel comfortable and answer all of my questions. During the live fire portion of the class, he helped me improve my accuracy and fluency in handling a firearm. Given the chance to take a course on firearm safety, I came out learning a lot more about the responsibilities of owning a handgun. From current laws and regulations to the inner workings of various firearms, I was able to learn a lot from this class.With a lot of misconceptions floating around about firearms, its important to get the facts straight and learn them the right way. This class helped to clear a lot of the misconceptions that I had regarding gun laws and gun safety, as well as the mindset for handling a firearm.I cannot recommend Double A Consultants enough. I came in with high hopes to learn everything I would need to know in regards to owning a firearm. I was mostly concerned on topics related to the laws, as they are very specific. Thankfully, it was all addressed when I took a class with Double A!The class was well paced, no superfluous information. I got to learn a couple of new things about firearms that I really did not know before. I walked away from the class confident in my knowledge about firearms, firearms safety and regulations. But most importantly, it was reinforced that gun safety must always be held as the top priority. That includes your safety!Glad I took the time to take the class. Im happy to say I learned something new.

Jack is a great guy, very knowledgeable and helpful, has a sense of humor, and makes things fun. HQL class is extremely worthwhile. Also, while there seem to be some cheaper options on the google, Jacks class includes a 1.5 hour marksmanship component in addition to the minimum hql requirement (firing a single round), which in retrospect doesnt seem like something that should be optional for a newbie anyway. Having not shot before, I honestly probably wouldnt feel confident enough to actually continue this hobby without the hands on instruction at the end. Plus you get a cool hat.
