I was extremely happy with the service. I went with this company because they had such good reviews and I was please with there professional attitudes. I will use them again. I thought the price was reasonable for a 500 ft drive. Thank you Rob and Anita .

The receptionist right off the bat was very friendly and got back to me right away on everything that was going on. The crew came and did the work when I was at work and came home to such a nicer driveway. I’m no expert but seems to be just like they quote not watered downed quality material. I had them seal coat and fill cracks on a driveway that I don’t think has been done in 10 + years as well as removal of all the grass along side and in the drive. There were some lines of splatter you can see where they may have gotten material out to move it around and some cracks that are still pretty deep but I imagine you can only do so much with the condition it’s in. It is a night and day difference and will definitely be using your company again in the future.

As others have reviewed, Anita will schedule a quote but I dont believe it hold any power to get the field staff to follow through and the owner will only step in when you have already your poor review.Myself on the third no show no call Im going to a different companyI recommend you dont waste three or more days waiting on this company but please dont ignore these reviews

Receptionist is very friendly. Driveway seal coat looks good. Had it done while at work all went well except for the crack repairs. Not what I thought i was paying for. Question how it looked and why some cracks were missed dont look very good and there are holes in the crack sealer. Kinda defeats the purpose of the repair. When I expressed my concern was told that was the expectation of the cracks?? Not my expectations for sure and I paid cash .

I would recommend this company. Very responsive and prompt finishing my driveway. Finished job looks great.

There were dropped balls between scheduling and crews, crews and supply providers, company and the consumer most notably not being informed when crew appointments had to be cancelled. The final project’s quality and the willingness to come back until I was happy way out weighed the inconvenience.I would recommend S&J and will use them in the future.

Just had S&J come out and do our drive. The price was a little higher than the last time we had it done by someone else and I was unsure why. After they were done, I now know why. The drive looks almost brand new. Great communication. Flexible scheduling. Highly recommended. I won’t be quoting this out next time, I’ll just be making one phone call to S&J.

I called 5 different businesses to get estimates to seal coat my driveway last week of June, S & J was out in a day for an estimate and actually came and got the job done before the other 4 could even give me a call back, Job completed on July 1st. I was looking for a good Sealcoating company which stays behind its job and finally I found it. Your guys did great job. My driveway looks like new. This company is so busy because they doing excellent job. When guys did Sealcoating and filling cracks some cracks was missing to fill but I called and they back the same day and fixed issues. Like I said they stayed behind it’s job. I had bad experience in the past with another Sealcoating companies but S & J Coating are the best . I’m planning using them for Sealcoating and crack filling for many years. Thank you guys very much for great job.

They came out did a bid. I told them yes . waited for a call.i called her she said no one told her. So then I made appotment with them for Saturday the 21st . No one showed up and no call.

I used S&J for snow removal (plowing my driveway & shoveling my sidewalk/walkway/front porch) for 2 years. This company is awesome with GREAT service!! Steve and his team are incredible and affordable, VERY AFFORDABLE!! To speak on how great their service is, they would shovel a path from my front porch all the way to the grass in my front yard; so my little Yorkie dog could come out the front door and go potty in the winter. My Yorkie had her own path all the way from the front door to halfway in the middle of my yard/grass. Here is another example of their great service: One day after they already came and shoveled for me, the illiterate City of Rockford plows, came down my street and threw 6 feet worth of snow at the end of my driveway!! Completely uncaring that my neighbors and I already had clear shoveled driveways. Anyway, I could NOT get out my driveway without getting stuck. I quickly called Steve. Steve & his team came all the way back to my house and re-shoveled the end of my driveway so I could leave for work. This company is ONE OF A KIND!!! You may be comfortable with who you have shoveling for you now, BUT believe me DROP THEM AND HIRE S&J. They will go above and beyond for their customers. They have helped me so much; like I explained above and they NEVER ONCE asked for extra money. Not to mention, I needed my driveway shoveled by 7am every morning & they made sure it was ALWAYS shoveled on time for me to leave out of my garage (without getting stuck) and go to work. I have NEVER had to call them for being late or to complain about their service. I sadly had to move away to Chicago this week (03/05/2019) but If I EVER move back to Rockford, S&J will ALWAYS be the company to shovel for me. I REFUSE to give anyone else my money. This is how much of an impression this company has left with me!!!

Have used other area sealcoating companies in the area. S&J has been amazing to work with. The level of professionalism from the intro phone call, through the quote process, scheduling and final service has been unparalleled. The gentlemen who arrived to compete the work were focused on a clean results. I heard I had a neighbor came over and tried to chitchat and the gentlemen remained focused and would not fall for the false distraction. When I arrived home, I went through with a very critical eye and there was not a single drop on the house, garage or sidewalk (which I have had in the past). Every surface was evenly coated ( had missing spots along the edges with past service providers). I spoke with two ladies in the office to set up service and they were so down to earth and friendly. Then the actual service! Back to back positive experiences. I would definitely recommend S&J Sealcoating.Since I am on a rant, I have had neighbors ask me about the warranty on the sealcoating. The one thing I say back is if you have your snowblower set to zero clearance and have not maintained a smooth edge on the snowblower (or have a shovel that has been bent), no sealcoating will hold up to your negligence. So that is my side rant.

For all of the good Google reviews, I have to say I’m not very impressed. I paid extra for crack filling, and it seems that only half of the cracks on my driveway were filled. In addition, the application of the seal coat was fairly sloppy. Seems like whomever did it was in a huge rush. It’s OK I guess, but I’ve had much better driveway seal coating done before.Edit 5/17/2018 - This is an addendum to my initial review for services rendered. Steve had his crew re-do the sealcoating of my driveway and it turned out much better. It speaks volumes that this company stands behind their works and will respond to customer concerns.

I was quoted an amount and bill was more. I have called 4 times letting them know I have cracks that didn’t get sealed and has spots throughout drive from tar that is too thin. I have yet to have someone out or have problem corrected. I get my drive sealed every year and tried this company because of high reviews. Very disappointed!!
