Excellent service

I had a tree struck by lightning that pretty much exploded and sent large pieces of trunk into my surrounding neighbors yards. The remaining trunk of the tree was severally splintered and was starting to lean towards my house. I did a quick Google search on my phone and called Smetters Tree Service. George understood my urgency and promised to be out as soon as possible. He arrived within the estimated time that he told me, before his crew was even available to get out, as they were on another job site. With his bucket lift truck he worked his way up the tree taking off limbs and proceeded to then take off sections of trunk working his way back down the tree. Within an hour he had it at ground level. Definitely a stress reliever getting it taken care of! George brought his crew back the next day to do a cleanup and had everything done very quickly and efficiently. My biggest concern was that when you have an emergency like that, you feel that you are over and barrel and you think that you will have to pay top dollar. I was quoted a very reasonable price, in fact much less than what I know other people have paid for similar jobs. Great job George and crew getting a dangerous tree taken care of before it could hit my house and being very fair on the price. As a side note, my neighbors were also impressed with their work and 1 of them even hired Smetters to remove a crabapple tree while they were doing my cleanup. And a couple more made sure to get business cards in case they ever needed tree removals.

George and his crew did a excellent job on the tree service at my home they took on a couple trees and turned the couple more or probably looks better. I would highly recommend these guys.

I would highly recommend using Smetters Tree Service! If I ever need service again I will be calling George.Excellent customer service! Had a huge limb fall from my tree and land on my house causing broken rafters, needed the tree out ASAP for roof repair. I called George and he came to take a look the same day, brought equipment the next day and got started. This tree was huge with a trunk diameter of 58 inches, and was also against my house. The job took some very large equipment and they laid plywood anywhere the equipment was placed to help with yard damage. The crew were professional, cleaned up all messes and George answered any questions I had.

The level of professionalism and everything about them is fantastic! They went well above and beyond, making sure that the trees they trimmed were to our satisfaction before moving on to the next tree. They arrived on time, and proceeded in a very professional manner. The pricing was great, and they even cleaned up so that you never knew they were there. I highly recommend this local business.

George gave us a great price for taking down 2 trees & grinding 3 stumps. Loved everything about this service. The men worked like a well oiled machine . Such efficiency Ive never seen in any workers before. Would recommend Smetters to anyone. Thanks guys!!

We had a tree go down and they were promptly on the job and took care of several trees for us. They did a wonderful and professional job. The only reason for 4 stars is that it took 2 months before they came back and ground the stumps. Based on the reviews, this experience seems to be the exception to the rule.

They performed great work with a very fair price. They had the correct equipment for the job and did exactly what they said they would do. They also left no mess and did a good job cleaning up.

They cut down a 50 year old maple of ours and they did not leave a trail. clean up was fantastic The price was so reasonable. I can not recommend this compay enough. We will definitely be using them again.

Contacted this company 3 weeks ago. I was told that they were booked for the rest of that week but they would get me the following week. I waited the entire following week and heard nothing, on Saturday called the company to see what happened and was told they got behind. I was then told that they would get me for sure Monday or Tuesday at the very latest waited the entire week and heard nothing. I still havent heard anything from them yet til this day. I was wanting the work done before the 4th of July and didnt even get a courtesy call back. Very unprofessional and disappointing.

We had a huge piece of tree fall in our yard late evening Saturday. We called George and he came out the next morning. He quoted us a fair price and went above and beyond. We will definitely be using this company again for all of our tree needs. Excellent work performed, great communication, fair price and true to his word. Highly recommend

Owner George of Smetter Tree Service promptly answered his phone and came within 3 days to give us an estimate to remove a 2+ story tall tree. He gave us a reasonable bid. We accepted and he came out 4 days later, exactly as promised. He did a perfect job with perfect cleanup. We highly recommend this company and will call again when we need tree services.

Very considerate. Put plywood down to prevent tire tracks in yard from trucks. Took down 3 trees, and piled it where we could get it to split later. Took branches with leaves and chipped them and hauled away.

I was told there would be someone out to quote on Tuesday and on Friday I called to see where they were at. Only to be shunned with too busy. But does not take but a minute or so to call back so I am not missing other opportunities to clean up storm damage.

WOW! These folks know what theyre doing and get the job done! I had several elms with damaged limbs, they removed 3 trees, pruned the other 4 and its night and day in my yard! What a difference! I also had them drop mulch for the garden and they kept it in a neat pile in the driveway. I cannot recommend them enough. My dad used them and also could not be happier. Thanks, George and crew!
