I can’t say enough about Kevin.Lucca Alla Moda was our 4th web host after NUMEROUS, FRUSTRATING TO THE POINT OF TEARS, experiences with other hosts. Our first web host took weeks to respond to simple requests to make small changes to the site or update information. After a phone conference during which he screamed at us, basically called us stupid and said we were the worst clients he had ever had, we pulled the plug on their company. Then he sued us for the balance of the contract and we had to settle on that. It was a nightmare we were glad to be rid of. I won’t bore you with all the details of our failed web experiences but trust me, you would not want to do business with these other web hosts (all of whom service accounts in this area)In contrast, Lucca Alla Moda has been a breath of fresh air. I initially met with Kevin in a conference room when we first decided to go with his services. After that, I felt I developed an enduring professional relationship with Kevin. For a time there, we were e-mailing almost daily. All services thereafter were delivered remotely, with most communication via email and, occasionally, by phone. Then my husband and I attended a Christmas party last year at the home of a Vanessa Baker, who is handling our Facebook page. I knew very few of the people at the party and it took me about half the evening to finally figure out that one of the guests was Kevin. It had been so long since we had sat across from one another that I didn’t immediately recognize him! We both had a laugh over that.Kevin is responsive (in a timely manner), always polite, flexible and so easy to work with. He has never displayed the aloof, I know what best for you attitude we had encountered with other web hosts. Kevin never makes you feel inadequate when you can’t figure out how to do something with your site. He uses a site program that is user friendly, which allows our staff to handle most of the daily or weekly updates and changes ourselves. He always says thank you and if I say thank you he will respond, You are very welcome! If he tells you he can do something by a specific deadline, he will meet it. If for some reason he can’t, he will explain the issue and alert you to a new deadline. When he developed our site, I wasn’t afraid to request details like a different font, size of font, emphasis on something in bold or moving text around. Unlike some of our previous web hosts, he didn’t try to argue with me about why the font, text or emphasis should NOT be changed. He just did it unless there was a tech reason that doing so would not be sound or up to standard protocol. I proofed everything and made numerous small corrections. He responded quickly and without complaint to every detail. By the time the project was winding down, we had everything just the way we wanted it and were very happy with the result. It was smooth, seamless and carried out in the most professional manner.As to the monthly agreement, we initially asked to be billed hourly. It just was inefficient as there were many 15-30 interventions, along with larger projects. Small bills were regularly coming in and after analyzing our monthly needs, the monthly service agreement seemed the most efficient way to go.In sum, I recommend Kevin without reservation and know you will have a wonderful experience if you choose Lucca Alla Moda!
