We rented tent, chairs and a dance floor from Ribald for my sons wedding last week. I could not have been more impressed with their professionalism. They were prompt, courteous and careful all through the process. We literally had no issues with the rental and I would highly recommend them if you are looking.

They went above and beyond to make our wedding day perfect!Hiring Ribald Events was a huge stress relief! They were able to handle all of our venue decor, rentals, flower arrangements. They worked with my husband and I one on one to ensure we would get everything we wanted for our day while staying in our budget.
I chose Ribald for my wedding flowers and décor because they provided gorgeous bouquets and decorations for my sister’s wedding a few years before, and I am very glad I stuck with them! Shawna and Allison were very attentive and responsive to our needs. A couple specific incidents were demonstrative of their professionalism and genuine care for my event. I had to make several changes to the reception table décor and linens in the final few weeks, and they were very careful to respond to each change and confirm all the details with me. They also coordinated with my photographer to time the floral preview with my bridal portraits, so that I could leave the preview with a fresh beautiful bouquet to use at the photography session. Finally, the day before the wedding, they discovered that the anemone flowers (which were the central flowers to every floral piece) had not arrived from the supplier in good condition. At no cost to us, they ordered emergency replacements, and even drove out to the airport that morning to pick them up and ensure every floral was delivered, on time and perfect! On top of it all, Ribald worked seamlessly with our caterer, and communicated well with us and the owner of the reception hall. I was extremely pleased with the final results and I was showered with compliments from my family and friends! I would highly recommend this group!
We are using Ribald as the florist for my wedding. I had my flower preview today and I walked away completely encouraged and excited about my wedding! Shawna went above and beyond to make sure that I was happy with the flowers. She was also very patient with me to figure out the exact look I was going for. I am from out-of-town, so I appreciate the staffs willingness to work with us. I was beyond thrilled by all the hard work done by Ribald already and my wedding is still over a month away! I have worked in the floral industry for 30 years and I have NEVER seen such beautiful work! My boyfriend sent me flowers last week and Ribald Events did an awesome job on the dozen roses I received. Its five days after they arrived and they just get more beautiful by the day. Ive never had flowers last so long. This florist goes out of its way to make their customers beyond happy.
There are so many decisions when it comes to a wedding and one of the best we made was hiring Ribald. We are returning customers as Shawna handled my daughters wedding 7 years ago and it was so great, I didnt even consider going anywhere else.I feel my daughter made Shawnas job more difficult because she was so indecisive about what she wanted, but Shawna did a great job of pulling out of her what made her happy and the result was beautiful. They came and set everything up and took it back down and even delivered the flowers for the hair to the salon. I could not be more pleased! Thank you, Ribald!
Shawna, Scott and the whole Ribald team were extremely helpful in planning our Annual Meeting in March. Shawna was great to work with and help come up centerpiece ideas and to make sure we had exactly what we wanted for the event and that it would be on budget. The day of the event Scott and his crew made life easy and helped get the room set up, so that I could focus on other jobs that day. Ribald Events will be one of the first places I call for any future events.

They were so easy to work with. My wedding venue was just minutes away from them. They work so well with whatever budget you have. My flowers looked amazing and I got so many compliments on the whole layouts of the wedding/ table deco
We were excited to work with Ribald at first because they offered both flowers and a selection of rentals for our upcoming wedding. The consultation meeting went pretty well, longer than anticipated (1.5 hrs), but we felt good about what was discussed. During the meeting we were told by Shawna that she would have a proposal together of all pricing from what we talked about in 1.5 weeks. At the time that seemed like a lot since I’ve gotten this from other florists in a matter of days. But we said no problem and awaited that day. 1.5 weeks comes and goes without a word. I followed up after 2 weeks with an email and a call. No response. Finally I got an email from Shawna saying she’d have the proposal by that Thursday. Mind you, there was no apology for being behind; no excuse for why. It was more like I was asking for something that hadn’t already been requested. That Thursday comes and goes, and we are at 3.5 weeks now. I reach out by email and phone again and still can’t get a hold of Shawna. She finally calls me back (on a blocked number) and leaves a voicemail because I don’t answer #s I don’t know. Again no regard for why it’s taking so long. Just a message saying to give her a call back at the office line (which I can never reach her on) so we can chat about the quote. So at this point we have absolutely no interest in working with Ribald for our wedding day because they simply can’t be trusted to communicate and stick to their word. I’d be very cautious when considering them for your big event.
The team at Ribald is very responsive, has a wide variety of options, and was always accommodating when I changed my mind on design decisions. Would highly recommend!
Ribald Events was absolutely wonderful for my wedding! It was absolutely gorgeous and exactly what I wanted. This was even more impressive given the fact that I was horribly indecisive and not sure what I wanted and they just helped me figure it out. They are amazing!!!!!
I wanted to send flowers to some friends in Rock Hill and after I placed my order on line they called me. They explained everything they were going to do each step of the way. I am pretty sure they called me at least 5 to 6 times just to make sure my order was right and it was what I wanted. They even called me after the flowers were delivered just to tell me they were. I wanted them to send me a picture and she called me to tell me her phone messed up and she couldnt. They were extra nice and very special to work with. God Bless them!
I needed flowers for my mothers burial which was scheduled for a Monday. I called Shawna at Ribald on the Friday before. I specifically gave her date, time and cemetery. Flowers were delivered Saturday instead. I ordered Roses for each person plus a spray. On Monday there were no flowers at the site. Shawna told me the mowers moved them. Take from neighboring site. We do not take flowers from other graves. We left after our service and returned to see what she sent over. No roses, yet I paid for them. The spray did not have fresh flowers. I am very disappointed. They did not talk to me about getting my money back nor why service was poor. I suggest you dont use them if you have an event on a certain day. Very disappointed.
We used them for our wedding. They did a phenomenal job. The main reason was for decorating the family life center with frapping and piping for the reception. We ended up short on table clothes from another source and Ribald came thru on the day before our wedding and provided us with the 7 we needed for a really good price. They arrived promptly when they were supposed to and set everything up exactly how we wanted and took it down and cleaned up as promised. Shawna and her team did the florals and the decorations for my recent wedding. The draping looked incredible and the centerpieces for each table were beautiful. We were very pleased with how the florals and decorations turned out. The only reason I did not give them 5 stars was because it was sometimes difficult to get a hold of them or to have a response to emails/phone calls. Overall they did a fantastic job!
Read on Facebook about a wedding you were paid and trusted to do a job agreed upon.........and it’s deplorable that you can treat people this way and take no responsibility. They gave you their hard earned money for a great occasion and your casual inattentive work is inexcusable. Shame on you. Parents and guest had to set up and no plates and dance floor endangering guest by coming apart.
Our experience with Shawna and her team started out great.Shawna really appeared to be invested in my daughters total experience with the wedding planning.Jump foward to the day of the wedding.Flowers arrived in piece meal to the church and were extemely late.The stress that caused was enough on its on, but after multiple calls to Ribald we were told that the groomsmen normally didnt have their flower before pictures anyways, “ and if we would just stop calling, they could get things done”Groomsmen didn’t have their boutineer’s until 5 minutes before they walked down the isle.The sanctuary flowers didn’t fit on the wall they were intended for and had to be taken out of their vases and placed directly on the shelf, all while guests were already arriving. My coordinator fixed that problem.My corsage and the grooms mothers corsages were totally wrong. They were suppose to be worn on the wrist! They were pin on’s and the grooms mother wouldn’t wear hers because of the fabric of her dress.Now fast foward to the reception.Three people tripped over the dance floor Ribald provided before one guest tripped, slashed her head open and fractured her elbow. She had to be taken to the ER on a gurney. The employees of where the reception took place taped the floor down so that no one else would trip.And to top it all off... we were their ONLY wedding that day.Never saw Shawna the day of, never heard one word, never apologize for anything that happened. Still to this day, 4 months later, not one word.And now their insurance company is ignoring claims.When it came down to the most important day... Ribald dropped the ball, in the worse way.
In an industry where first impressions mean everything, Ribald Events failed to make a good one. I, like some other brides who have reviewed this company, was excited to meet with them because they offered florals, rentals, and were close to my venue. After my initial consultation on October 24th, I was told it would take two weeks to receive my quotes. At seven weeks after the consultation, I still never received anything.I’d like to point out that I had my initial consultation during a very busy season for them, which is why I was more than patient in waiting for them to send the quote. My experiences with Ribald Event staff was very pleasant and they understood that, with each week that passed, I was becoming more and more frustrated with the lack of communication.Below, is an outline of my experiences:• Wednesday, October 24th — Initial consultation with Shawna (which I took time off of work and traveled 3 hours round trip for). Initial proposal was verbally promised in two weeks (November 7th). I remember specifically because I marked the date in my phone as I left.• Thursday, November 8th — Initial follow-up via email asking about the status of my proposal. I received no response.• Tuesday, November 13th — Follow-up via phone asking about the status of my proposal. I finally received an email from Shawna stating it typically takes three weeks (different from the initial communication) to get proposals to brides. She also stated she was shooting to have the proposals over to me by the end of the week (Friday, November 16th).• Wednesday, November 21st — Follow-up via email. No response.• Tuesday, November 27th — Follow-up via email. No response.• Friday, November 30th — Called and spoke with Shawna on the phone. She said she was looking at my folder on her desk and that she should have them over to me that day—at the latest on Monday. We even set up a phone meeting for the following Thursday at noon to discuss the quotes.• Tuesday, December 4th — Called and spoke with Allison. Shawna was out with the flu. I was told not to expect any quotes that week.• Monday, December 10th — Follow-up via email. No response back.• Tuesday, December 11th — Follow-up via phone. Shawna is out. No word on proposals. Followed up via email to Shawna stating my disappointment and stated that I expected to have my quotes by Wednesday (which marked seven weeks exactly from my consultation).• Thursday, December 13th — Follow-up via phone. Shawna was out. I called after hours and left a message asking Shawna to please return my call.• Friday, December 14th — Finally spoke with Shawna and she expressed that, since they had already frustrated me so much, that they did not want to start a relationship with a bride based on distrust, which I agreed with.I hesitate to post this because Shawna and I have differing opinions on why I was frustrated with this process. She felt I was frustrated with her being out of the office with the flu, but that was not the case. I was frustrated with the fact that I had been promised something by her company more than three times with no follow through. She stated that they were short staffed during a busy season and that her staff needed some time off. That is completely understandable, which is why I was patient enough to wait around for my quotes from them for more than six weeks. Now, I have wasted time that could’ve been spent proceeding with another vendor. I really wanted to give Ribald Events the benefit of the doubt, but they had multiple opportunities to make things right and failed to do so each time. As a result, we did not end up meshing. No matter how small a business is, it should not take weeks to respond to an email or phone call.As a potential client, I was disappointed in my treatment by the company and the owner, Shawna, so I would not recommend them. I write this to hopefully save other brides with full-time jobs who are planning weddings in their free time, so they do not waste valuable planning time pursuing a company that will string them along with empty promises.

I am a florist and knew there was no way I could handle all of the flower work for my sons wedding - even though his now wife would have loved for me to do everything. I just couldnt be the mother-of-the-groom and crawl up ladders, too.Shawna conducted a wonderful interview/appointment with Ashley and had a perfect idea of her dream look for the wedding. They took their time and due diligence to provide a detailed quote within the two week window that was indicated. I was appreciative of the time they took for this so there would be no surprises on the costs involved in the wedding budget. They worked to fine tune the contract until everyone was satisfied.Ribald traveled to the desitination, installed lush garland with the requested accents on multiple chandaliers and beams. it was beautiful.Ribald also did table arrangements, large pieces for the aisles, and helped my shop assistant install the other things I had made. Without their professional help, I couldnt have done it. Their hard work left me free to do the wedding party flowers and small accent pieces as my contribution.When you are a florist yourself, it is hard to be satisfied with someone elses work. Everything was promptly placed and spot on. Ashleys dream wedding could not have happened without Ribalds hard work.Kudos from one professional to another.
We spent a considerable amount of money with Ribald Farms. Although they have a lot to offer, when the final bill came, we were charged $25.00 dollars for what they claim was damage to one chair. We would not use this company again.
